That's not 1 session to plat. Most likely she's been playing off stream for a bit now and she only grinded to plat last night. How great it is depends on where she started before the 15h play session

Don't feel bad, Botan has like thousands of hours doing lots of fps games. I bet she's got a lot of skills that crossover to Valorant fairly easily.
Think of it like a pro wrestler getting into martial arts, might be a different style but the basic skills and abilities are largely the same.

Further context Botan has a bit of addictive personality when it comes to fps grinding. Something similar happened before pre hololive (she talked about this around her debut time) when she grinded to apex master. She has the tendency to not stop playing when she has a goal to grind. It's the reason she won't play ranked or serious apex anymore because back then she took it a bit too far and she neglected herself and her health by grinding too much.
Yep, and IIRC that's the reason she retired from being a pro and coach. She mentioned that she hated that she becomes a "sweaty gamer" with competitive play, and just wants to play chill now.
I also have this problem with games sometimes, where a bug randomly bites me and I just want to get done what I wanted. That's when I just play nothing but Hollow Knight to completion (except the Pantheons), or I do nothing but play XIV for a week to level a new raiding alt and start doing the newest tier... I kinda hope it happens with SF6 so I'm finally sitting and learning that game, because I really enjoyed it when I was playing.

As a SSRB through and through, has been waiting to watch her stream Valo for a long time since I'm curious about the game myself too. She mentioned she was thinking to learn the game and just mess around freely on twitch (just like other members do) then totally forgot about it until the Redbull sponsor last month. Hope we could see more Valo wt other members in the future
