Botan is an FPS monster. No one should be surprised at this point. She gets rusty because she doesn't play as much but when she's in her zone she solo's entire teams or makes games like Resident Evil Village into comedies.
Unless said teams are on her level.

I think she doesn't have sufficient understanding about skills and every thing in this game. Last year or so, in battlefield competition, she was having multiple kill left right and center. If her teammates were better, they might have won.
People forget that she supposedly has a background in the Rainbow 6 pro scene...

Which are criminally under-represented.
I know Botan isn't a constant shooter player anymore*, she prefers funny games where she can goof about, but I'd love to see her play something llike DUSK or ULTRAKILL.

As soon as I saw Botan and Astel in the line up for this event I knew there was going to be some CRACKED plays, those two are like fps highlight reels.
And we got exactly what we expected. It was awesome.
No one who has watched any of Botan's FPS streams should ever be "shocked" by La-Lion's FPS prowess in this competition.

Unfortunately, despite Blizzard's best efforts, Tank roles in OW2 are still the best position to be filled by your best players.

Don't forget Izuru, he's just as juiced. And the Stars as a whole were hella coordinated.
Plus the less experienced girls showed potential to develop if they train, practice and participate more.

I'd love to see them rotate teams in continued practice but with the gachikoi pandering (esp. by Irys) and the general anti-Holostars feeling of the fanbases except Botan's and Towa's, I doubt they'd ever do it.
Astel & Botan catch my attention the most with their play.
Unfortunate that they can't team up. It'd be too unfair for the rest.

Seeing this from the girls pov, it looks like they have so much pressure and doesn't look like they're having fun, after izuru's stream ended i watched towa and towa being an overwatch fan that she is talks about how much she enjoyed the game and giving a hint to all the girls that she wants to do full party overwatch again but from the girls tone they're not interested at all
Makes sense. The newcomers felt the squeeze of going against a high-tier team while the experienced ones had the burden of covering for said newcomers. Things were more level for the Stars, there's less skill gap between the players.
@@DinnerForkTongue But from what I've seen from the hololive channel it doesn't seems that unbalanced, they have towa and botan carrying them but the rest is not that bad either, so what makes the girls enjoy valorant tournament but not OW2
@@ifdy1361 They're not bad, but the Stars are ferocious and orchestrated, and carrying can only take a team so far. It's still carrying players having to divide their attention between their own role and shot-calling for the less competent ones.
It'd be fun to have that many friends and have friendly games with one another.

ICYMI the results between them,
Hololive 0-3 Holostars
1st Game : Holostars won by huge difference even though it's 4v5 with Astel having a bit technical difficulties.
2nd Game : Holostars won by 3-2 with Holostars take lead by 2-0 then Hololive comeback with 2-2 and the 2nd Game ended with Holostars won 3-2, thanks because of Aruran's annoying Hamster www
3rd Game : Holostars won both attacking and defending.
Overall summary for Holostars: Too cracked with Astel & Izuru carrying. No comments, they already professionals to begin with.
Overall summary for Hololive : Botan FPS skills is a no secret, she already showed it in the game, Towa's best leading as usual, Chloe and Lui's potential and Irys was not feeling up her game but can become a good support.
Fair assessment. The Stars, Astel and Izuru in particular, are just juicers, and on the Live side, there's only so much you can do with two greenhorns. Chloe and Lui have potential but you can't beat ingrained game sense and unspoken team coordination.
They are actual pro level and semi pro.
Then the other players are all around Towa's level.
Maybe bring Selene she the best FPS player that's a v-tuber.

@@hungerxhunger2548that is the past. Take a look on kamito, solo predator for many season (4 season iirc) back then. But right now he's not as stromg as his prime. She's good on fps, but we can't say surely she's the strongest in fps for streamers level.

Botan is like that one Person, who just chilling, around, being goofy and laughing in any problems, not knowing she's actually a Legend and a very experienced veteran. She may not look like it, she's having fun, but she can destroy you even if she's having fun.
Against derpy joe schmoes unused to serious gaming. Don't ever forget that she and her team were _washed_ by the Stars. Clean sweep.
Botan and Towa played fine, but the others weren't up to the Stars' level. The boys are too vicious and too cordinated.

it really is one of the most fun ULTS in the game when you hit it properly.
Even when it doesn't kill anyone but forces the enemy to stop a push and scatter, it's still one heck of a play. You gain time and ground with it.

Timing is also a part of skill
Imagine in Dota 2 where a perfect combo of Magnus ult > skewer > Techies field > Enigma ult > buffed Sven splash could wipeout the reds but a mistiming could jeopardize the whole thing & possibly get countered
D.Va’s ULT works best on unaware players as line of sight breaking the mech negates all damage
as someone who has played overwatch this was a very lucky timing considering that astel has just panic used his coach gun, miyabi didn't use outburst to get out of danger and the both of them reacted a bit late to the dva bomb. Izuru failed to even notice the bomb in the first place.(or he just didn't know you can still use fade while in coalescence)

Botan trust and give chance to her teammates on dps because playing tank pretty important role . She can deal dmg and defend at certain point . She got better fps understanding afterall
That's why she took the role. She had the most game sense and the most ability to create a push or a hold.
I played semi-professional Battlefield 2 back in the day (along with some CoD4 and CS:S); Botan is *damn* good by any measure.

Chloe distracted them. When they turned the formation to face her, it created a flank. Botan pushed the mecha down that flank.
Botan once again shows me why you don't want her as an enemy in an fps game. Honestly though, I would have pictured her being more Widowmaker main.
She had to be tank, because no one else in the Live side was good at the game enough to be tank in her place. It's always the experienced player that goes tank to keep a push or defense cohesive.
Even then, it was such a diff that Botan had a worse K/D ratio than the supports of Stars. Nothing she could do.
The way the rest of Astel's remaining teammates routed, like they got flanked by heavy calvary in a Total War game is too damn funny!! Hahaha!!!

hololive got stomped. not even one win. the girls did really well though, chloe and irys were surprisingly good.
Holostars won every round even the first one which had Astel experiencing PC issues so he tried fixing it in the middle of the match.

The Stars boys lambasted them. They're all consistently on a level to give Botan trouble, and sadly Lui, Irys and Chloe don't have the sense of game and coordination to set up a proper front to back tank Botan against that.
