  • A demo of a nice classical patch on the Novation Peak.
Download zipped patch (syx file) here: skrie.danoli3.com/music/Novati...
I did add a little stereo widening on the master. Everything else is straight from the Synth.

Really beautiful work. Have you experimented with any different articulations e.g. staccato, shorts, using your excellent strings patch? I’m planning to buy a Peak and just wondering what are the possibilities. Thanks for your channel!

Thanks for your interest. I didn't really continue working on this patch. But I did work on a cello patch that I reworked into a variety of string sounds and articulations. I think I'll demo those soon and add the patches. I do recommend getting that Peak. Every synth I've bought since has just been sitting there. It really has the best set of tools for making the sound you want.

@@skrie Trying to decide between getting the peak + 88-key something to plug or the summit as an all in one. Rec?

@@visionsinthefog I missed this comment...so sorry for the late reply. The Summit is really 2 Peaks. So it's an interesting pick. I heard some bad things about the Summit Keyboard though. I'm still happy with my Peak. You really can't hurt buying a Peak and good Keyboard. But I'd recommend getting something with aftertouch. Even if it's only Channel aftertouch, there's add-ins for DAWs that will turn the last played note into a Poly-AT note. Peak has wonderful poly-at. I'm still searching for a good Poly-At keyboard myself though... it's a struggle. I'd never buy the Summit myself. I'd just add another Peak I think.

Obviously you finished your CS 80 Controller. I like your skills as a Peak-Poor Man CS 80 Sound Designer :-)

You have a sharp eye. The prototype frontpanel is finished and sitting at the Peak but it still doesn't have a box. I'm stuck a bit on programming the ribbon-controller. I want it to work like the CS80 controller (as that everywhere you position your finger is the 0 point. ). All in all I'm a bit disheartened about the whole project. I'll probably be able to finish this one, but I'd never be able to produce a larger quantity of them for a reasonable price. They'd be too much work for each box.

Awesome patch! Honestly... I have no idea how to upload it to my peak :/

Hey. I thought I already replied to this...apparently not. Install Novation Components and connect the Peak with USB. The interface is really userfriendly.
