This is one of the most amazing MLB stats I've ever seen. You can count the bruises on Castellanos in the ice tub and know how many round-trippers Votto hit.
If at the end of season Castellanos's in a body cast you know Votto must've hit 50.
He’s like a fighter plane.
Not really. So stupid.
😂
THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND
@@ryanyamada9414 The scott sterling of baseball, hahaha!!
Ngl I thought castellanos was hit by a pitch and then votto homered in 4 straight at bats, but this is even cooler lol
That’s exactly what I thought haha
That's how I read it too.
Same here
I thought the same, but this is awesome
Same.
That guy who caught the last home run was living the dream; good for him lmao
He was probably about 6 Miller Lites in 😆
“New strategy, guys. Don’t hit Castellanos.”
“Worth a try, I guess.”
No o
HERE is Our Savior
YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF”

HalleluYAH translates “Praise ye YaH” sir, you really should read what I shared
@@Praise___YaH I did. It was still gibberish, had nothing to do with my comment, or even with baseball.
Wow that's how u get payback instead of plunking the other team
*EXACTLY. That old school 'unwritten rule' has 'gotta go'.*
*Tony LaRussa, etc... stop being a curmudgeon!*
@@andyroid5028 I completely agree dude
Clearing the bases, not the benches. 😜
@@crazyman8472 lol exactly
Or hit a home run then hit them back also.
If Castellanos gets hit by a pitch Vottos got his back
The Ultimate BFF
I’ve never seen the MLB be so excited to say someone was hit by pitch
LMAO the dude who caught the last one 🤣 love the energy!
What does the legend of Votto do? It grows!!
Great offensive strategy Reds have going... Castellanos gets HBP, Votto jacks him home. Brilliant!
Right? I don't see why they don't just do that all the time.
For Real, they would be the best team in the league. And the most brilliant! How wonderful! How Brilliant!
Lmao 🤣
Votto looks like Babe Ruth
The legend of Joey Votto.
Beautiful, he is Mr Cincinnati and will be remembered long after he's done playing.
Some players deserve utmost respect, he's one of them. ❤️☮️.
I have seen and loved a lot of Reds baseball, dating back to the Big Red Machine. Votto is right up there w them in my book!
Yeah, he's gonna be remembered long after he's gone because we'll still be paying him 20 years after he retires.
He's been hot this year, and it's awesome to watch, but he is definitely past his prime.
If you hit Castellanos, you should intentionally walk votto
I’m weak 😂
Can’t agree more💯😂
That should be the new rule.
@@DavidTorres11717 the votto rule.
Don’t mess with him.
@@sportz4dummies272 yep
Joey Votto still BANGS🔥💪
That's what his wife (and girlfriend) said too.
@@andyroid5028 and your mom…
Sorry, it was left open…I had to, you should’ve done it to the guy above you and it wouldn’t have happened to you lol
I grew up a Reds fan and followed them through the 80’s and 90’s. After not really following baseball for many, many years I decided to get back into it this season and man, they have been so much fun to watch!
They are probably the most entertaining team in baseball. So many big hits... If only they had better pitchers, they'd be real contenders to win it all year after year. Cheers and welcome back.
@@recluse5122 I know, the bullpen has been rather stressful to watch. I’m happy Castillo has turned it around and have a lot of faith in Gutierrez. And just wait until Hunter Greene is called up!
Wow. Just wow. Remember this: if you think you've seen it all in baseball, just give your head a shake, because no way you've seen it all, not even close...
Years ago, I thought I'd seen it all in baseball when I watched on tv Prince Fielder score an inside the park home run.
Clearly I was wrong.
@@eclectica1 same with Bengie Molina’s cycle at Fenway. You’ve never seen it all
lol this is the only time mlb wants to talk about nick castellanos, when hes getting HBP...
Or when Nick argues with an Umpire and gets tossed. Gee someday NC might puke on the field, then he would get National coverage and even a Jomboy video.
Great player one of my favorites when he was in Detroit
Well I mean there's really nothing of note that happened in his career as there's a drive into deep left by Castellanos that will be a home run. And that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame
yea man im a Cubs fan and he raked for us. Sad we still have Hayward and not NC.
first ballot hall of famer most iconic canadian ball player joey votto
Vlad Guerrero?
@@djkiid7764 Vlad's Dominican, he doesn't count. (First ballot HOFer, I'm not gonna disagree there.)
@@johnathanpatrick6118 he’s from Canada lml
@@djkiid7764 Born 2/9/75 in the DR. Yeah, he played for a Canadian team, but he's NOT Canadian.
@@johnathanpatrick6118 I’m thinking about jr my fault. Vlad jr could take vottos spot
Outside of my Houston Astros for life Joes freaking Votto is my favorite player. What a stud and and tells truths to.
reds heating up at the right time. huge series in Milwaukee
He is already legend
His swing is so clean man
It’s an old school swing. You don’t see many people swing like votto
Idk why but I love those alternate road and home unis so much
Can’t wait to have to get 12 tb in one game this week for MLB The Show 21
For real...
Nice barehanded catch by the guy on homer four.
Castellanos needs to start leaning into a few more pitches.
The fan who got the 4th home run ball is awesome. 😎
2:39 How did that guy barehand an ~100 mph votto homerun? What a legend
Miller lite is how. Dude was buzzzzzed
Castellanos and Votto pure legend. Has to be in the hall of fame.
Great bare-hand catch by bleacher guy on the 4th HR.!!!
Baseball has been great all year all around the league so many cool stories all over
Just incredible by a Reds legend
The Real KUDOS go to the Voice of The Reds on TV, John Sadak for actually bringing this very topic up on TV right before Votto hit the fourth Homer this past Friday ( Aug. 20th )....just saying.
That’s Jim Day bud. John will be back Tuesday
Yep, he called it. Nice timing. 👍
That was Jim Day bruh😀
Atleast Joey capitalized on those hbp
How quickly I forgot Votto's retaliatory home runs after Castellanos got plunked was originally our doing...oops. :)
Joey Votto for MVP?
Such an unbelievably amazing stat. The odds of this must been even more astronomical than winning the lottery.
I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it! That is remarkable!
Valuable intel. After plucking Nick, pitch outside the zone to Votto. He’s such a beast that might not stop him tho.
Fan makes a heck of a catch on # 4
What are the odds of that? That's crazy....
The dad fan at the end thought they were cheering for him 🤣🤣😂😂
The Canadian is popping off
votto a legend for sure
In all my years of watching baseball I have NEVER seen anything like that in my life. That is insane! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Heh, I was all ready to mock the title..then I see it's legit. Crazy!
Castellanos needs to intentionally get hit from now on!
You mean he _hasn't_ been 'intentionally getting hit'. The dude is like a statue in the box ; doesn't appear to be intent upon moving out of the way of oncoming pitches.
He's like a lot of these jerks in the game today.(this nonsense really got going in the 1990's) It may be the _batter's_ box but that doesn't mean that the player wielding the bat owns the space and grousing , making childish faces, mouthing off or having an outright fit whenever a ball isn't thrown precisely the way that the one thinks it should be is just plain embarrassing. I have seen clowns charge or threaten to charge the mound on pitches that were actually *strikes* or pretty damned close to it.
@@manofiske3318 "jerk" lol
@@manofiske3318 I want whatever you're smoking
Legend!
So impressive from Joey Votto! And how about that catch and celebration by the fan on the last one?!
Muy buen duo esos dos
Legendary indeed
This is like watching Rudy Stein and Kelly Leak.
Greg Gibson the home plate umpiring motioning to Nick Castellanos
MVP!!
this is crazy lol votto is a machine GO REDS!
As a Braves backer that is the freakiest series at bat I've ever seen.
Love the call by Jim Day. Bally Sports Ohio/Reds have S tier broadcasters.
Love Them Reds!!
Castellanos is a very underrated player. Very! Should be a consideration for NL MVP
This is wild. The last one is the best
Just love this, Castellanos gets hit, 4 straight times Votto gets his back with homers.
Paul, thank you for clarifing that for us idiots, who were wondering..............................
Thats a thunder buddy right there!
Glad to see Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire, motioning to both players. And the reds are celebrating in their dugout.
I'm glad that you said his full name.
Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire.
Incredable guy
now everyone knows, don't hit nick castellanos.
That last one was a real screaming mimi!
The ultimate avenger for the Reds.
The basketball equivalent to ball never lies
well this wasn't quite wasn't quite what i was expecting but still pretty cool
Legendary
Amazing play waooo
Always liked Votto, good for him!
That is IMPRESSIVE!
Note to Castellanos: crowd the plate whenever Joey Votto is batting behind you.
Outstanding. If this don't make a local fence sitter a Reds fan nothing will.
One of the craziest occurrences In modern baseball.
Votto is a beast
Joey votto must have been one of those kids that had to shave in grade school. I remember watching him the playoffs in 2010 and thinking "who is this old guy on 1st" he was 27 I guess.
It's an automatic 2-run play. Genius
That’s awesome 👏
Does this season give Joey Votto enough credentials to be in the hof?
Yes, no doubt. Career .300 hitter, gold glove, MVP (maybe 2 👀), 6 time all-star.
@@mattbauer8835 couldn’t agree more! I think he was a borderline candidate but if he keeps on this pace, and the Reds can make a run in the playoffs, how can’t he be in?
@@mattbauer8835 he was totally robbed in 16, and by Marty Brennamen at that
I love that the announcer knew about the stat on the fourth one
Well he is a Reds commentator. If he didn't know, I'm sure some lackey fed him the information just before.
If I had to guess at the correlation between these at bats it would be the pitcher is rattled a bit from hitting a batter so he's intentionally throwing cleaner pitches over the plate for the next batter and votto is feasting on them
Joey Votto Is Great! And Im a Cards fan!
Votto is special.
Castellanos could start stepping into pitches but his body would turn to jello as Votto surpasses Bonds.
Beast!!!!
After Votto, the other hero of this video is the guy making the barehand grab on the fourth HR.
Votto says if your gonna hit my homie I'm gonna hit a homerun.
That’s crazy!
the legend of GREG GIBSON THE HOME PLATE UMPIRE
Am I the only one that was surprised by the similarities between the call on Voto’s second home run here and Daniel camerana’s home run call
Now pitchers are gonna be afraid to plunk any Red.. 6 of the 9 batters are absolutely crushing it.. (5 of 9 now that Winker is injured..)
NL MVP
Stop picking in his kid brother is what I'm thinking LMAO
1:31 Castellonos is all like “Are you freaking kidding me?!?” 🤦♀️
That is a weird, but beautiful story.
A moment of silence for this woman's family pride @ 2:48
The Brewers own Votto. Looking forward to the next Series
No they dont
*VOTTO THE PUNISHER* ! 😎
