- Trying out the Skirmish Control game mode on the new Mortain map during the latest public test. The central and only capture point to fight over on this map/game mode is La Petite Chapelle Saint-Michel.

Be honest ladies and gents, is Skirmish a good gamemode for Hell Let Loose?
For casual gamers who only have 30 minutes to an hour available in their day? Yeah I'd say so. For gamers that have hours upon hours available to play, no not really.
@@bennyfagor104casual here never liked the idea of dividing the player base want it removed so badly its like worse cod or bf its not hll at this point
There are two things I don't like on hll: skirmish and British guns
I much prefer Warfare or Offensive
Skirmish is awful as is offensive and defensive, warfare is the best all out mode imho.
Idk what it is but for me this game is #1 all time, every time I play the game I feel like a kid on his PS2 again

The colors are really bright, a bit too much in my opinion. Doesn't really fit in with that of the other maps. But it is a cool map!

It has different weather. Personally the rain variant is my favorite.
Wish they’d worked on another map for the Soviets or Brits as opposed to yet another France map, but it looks alright.
Honestly the last new us map we got was Remagen so it was about time for a new us map.
@@AgentOrange88785 True, but most of the game are US maps. And this one doesn’t add anything that different from the previous ones. I would like to see a little bit more love put into the other factions, especially when they put so much work into reorganizing their loadouts and adding DLCs and cosmetics. They have a ton of battles for the Eastern Front alone that would be better than the current ones
@@MrFlankSinatra I mean then get mad at the people how review bombed the game and told the devs they wanted more of the same in the game.
@@AgentOrange88785 I’m not mad about it either way, but I think they definitely could’ve put more effort into diversifying the game more, instead of playing Hedgerow Simulator for the 100th time when the few Soviet maps are mostly bad and the Brits have it even worse. Especially when they threw as much effort for USSR/UK cosmetics as they did. Between adding this and spending time on the El Alamein rework, their priorities just aren’t there.
@@MrFlankSinatra I kinda agree with you. I'm excited for this new map, sure, but I'd love more Soviet and British maps. A map where you could actually use the Sten gun for example eh? Even if it's a map set in France, but designed for the British faction, I'd love that!

Me too bro. We need another one or two really solid urban maps
A battle for Aachen would be an amazing map to add and a new British map with Battle of Caen would also be awesome for urban fighting maps

There is no Arty in the Skirmish game mode featured in this video. Both teams are also limited to one recon team and one medium tank.
What's everyone's rating on this map ?
I like it so far, adding more accessible buildings as Team17 have done is also be good for gameplay on this new map.

The PTE is running until the end of this weekend. The server map rotation includes Mortain (Warfare - Day), Mortain (Skirmish control - Overcast/Rain), SMDM (Warfare - Night) and SMDM (Skirmish control - Rain).

Yup. Mortain is the first map completely designed by Team17’s studio - not the previous developer of the game, Black Matter. They are currently testing the new map on the PTE.
