This was actually done using HDR Light Studio standalone and exporting the HDRI map into Maxwell Studio. So you could actually do this now, even on an M1 Mac. HDR Light Studio runs under Rosetta very well on M1. But yes, we are looking forward to full compatibility with M1... it's on the roadmap.
What a let down. The video stops before he finishes!! Also, what’s happening here? Are those all light emitters and you’re positioning them on a hdri so that they highlight areas that you want highlighted?
The video shows the entire process for lighting the shot in HDR Light Studio. The HDRI map generated was then used inside Maxwell Studio to produce the final render. The other parts of the process, assigning materials etc, and not the subject of this video. I hope that helps. You can see lots more videos on our channel showing the end to end process. We share this time lapse because it gives an insight into how the lighting evolved and the control you have over it in HDR Light Studio.
Good job
How far away is this light from an object? I don't know where it is, so I don't know where it is
These lights are on an HDRI environment, not lights in 3D space.
Looking forward to when it works on M1 Max in Blender 3!!!

How about redshift for C4D? Amazing
Yes it works with C4D and Redshift. Check it out on our web site: www.lightmap.co.uk/hdrlightstudio/connections/cinema4d/
Good tutorial. But the didn't show the complete process till the final result
