THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! - Навчання та стиль
Thanks for watching! Comment below what you'd like to learn next!
Every vid from U is a learning opportunity regardless of the topic
You rock, Pye! I've always found your tutorials to be accessible, your delivery tasteful, and the takeaways clear. Thank you!
This is one of the best videos on lighting and posing I’ve ever seen. Thanks Pye!
That was one of the best videos I've watched from you. The delivery of your points related to lighting and how much of a difference between a strong image and an average image was conveyed so clearly. Loved it, even after watching it 3 times already, I got more from it each time. Your model was awesome as well, big Kudos to Jesus. 💯
Model Name is Jhesus Aponte
Great explanation and excellent model. Thanks guys.
It only educational but entertaining as well. Exquisite work. It always helps to have a talented model. MORE please.
So helpful to have talent like that out of their shell with poses etc. You could just let that guy go for 30 minutes and get amazing shots. Great instruction and guidance.
Love the focus on fundamentals. I often forget to lower my light when my model changes positions like yours did moving to a squat position from standing. Great reminder. I didn’t see much change with the negative fill but will rewatch from something other than my phone.
I’ve not heard of the tip you mentioned briefly - 32” octa should be ~32” from the model. Sounds like a cool tip for quick setup.
All I can say here is thanks. Creative illumination of the fundamentals.
I learned a lot form this! Excellent video. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation especially on the poses. I've never seen that explained well before.
Fantastic, thanks Pye. Nice simple lighting set up as well. Great model too ...
Awesome! I love the way you demonstrated the huge difference a high angle makes vs. a low angle.
One thing I liked about this video is for the fact it’s so understandable… it’s like teaching the child how to crawl while you crawl along with him. Thank you.
Thank you so much! It was amazing how few changes made the difference!
When I watch your videos I feel like I can stop subscribing from everyone else. Man you nailed it on this one. Love your work. Love the tutorials.
Mega super!
Thank you! 💖✨
Great video, helps a lot. I tend to rush it too much, need to take the time and look over the pose more. Its a pain looking over the photos in post and realize what should have been done. Thumbs up for this one.
Amazing model, Fantastic workshop, I learned heaps.
Awesome video, I have read the boring theory a million times, but it never sinks in, this is presented so well, everything makes sense. Thankyou, much appreciated
Great video Pye, once again filled with very useful info. Thanks.
I really learn a lot from this video even from your own SLR Lounge channel, about the tips I really need.
This was fantastic. Could have been four hours and I'd have watched the whole thing.
really helpful, thank you. appreciated the bit of real life bumping into the lights left into the final edit!
Amazingly impactful video in such a short bite..! Thank you
Thank you. So beautifully explained
This is fantastic. Great model and great instruction!
Appreciate it
I love this video! Excellent points and your model is amazing 🔥
Love the way you convey your concepts. Great advice, and I must admit I’m impressed by how sharp your images were at 5.6 when the foot was way out towards the camera:).
Fantastic, helpful, SO helpful. Thank you!!
Expression should match the pose....this phrase and explanation just opened the clouds for me. Crazy.
Thank you Pye and thank you Jesus! Very helpful.
Top notch!
Excellent advice, well done, the poses are really interesting
Great use of the metal gear alert sound effect 👏👏
I like the way you explained it. Great job.
Incredibly useful, thank you
This is more about posing and working with a subject than studio lighting fundamentals. Not bad suggestions, but not what I was looking for.
Great video!
Such a nice video. Loved the model, he looks amazing and clearly knows what to do. Great video. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Big like, thank you so much, hope to see more videos for studio lighting techniques
Very proffesional and engaging. Thanks
excellent model.

Thankyou so much for this!!!❣️
Great tutorial, instructions and Great model.....Pye n Jesus🤗❤️
Thank you so much it was a lovely and and educative video
That was an amazing video. Thank you so much for this!
Loved every minute of this video Pye / Adorama. The breakdown of how the shot started to the end result was very informative. Couple of questions if you don’t mind answering please. It was mentioned paramount lighting but what happens when the model isn’t facing the camera. Does this dramatically hamper the shot as the shadows are no longer paramount and do you get some unsightly shadows. Also when you shoot up at the model is your lens slightly tilted up and where do you focus on the model please? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
This was great teaching. Your model inspired me more in doing people photos too.
Really helpful...I appreciate!! Thanks
Wonderful sence of human body & lights
Great model and interesting poses especially the triangle one he did holding his right heel with his left hand while standing.
MGS sound bite ! was hilarious 😂

Is there any way to have the c-stand arm attached to a vertical coming from the ceiling? I have very limited floorspace in my tiny studio. Thanks!

Another amazing video, thank you Pye. This will definitely help me with my fashion shoots coming in the next 2 weeks. Jesus is amazing.
Indeed he was!
@@payamjirsa Where is the link to follow Jesus, the dancer/model?
@@photocraftermomoftwo came here to ask the same thing
Liv this...great shoot
Always be sure you mount your Gobo extension right ;)
"Letfy loosy - right tighty"
Thank you Pye and Adorama, I always learn from and enjoy your videos. In this example, turning the V-Flats to the white side to show the difference would have been helpful.
Thanks for commenting, glad you enjoyed!
Great lesson. Thank you! Do you have or might you do a video on using strobe lights and continuous light (why use one over the other or using them together)?
Cool outfit and sweet posing.
I loved the Beyonce pose 🙂 . Great great job. Loved the audio as well. I wonder what lapel mic or whatever voice recorder you are using.
any tips for photographing a person who’ve never have studio photography experience in a studio? i’m concerned they’ll complain about the lighting being too close to them or just can’t take being highlighted that long
Love Jesus! Thanks for the tips and all you do!
What flash mode are you using? Normal or TTL?
Jesus was a highly collaborative model. He seemed very interested in what you were saying and tried to strike a corresponding pose. The results should have pleased him. Well done!
Indeed he was !
Curious as to why you chose a f stop of 5.6 ? I think a lot of the time photographers are drilled into thinking a higher f stop like 2.8 is always better.
Smaller aperture is usually better for studio portrait as we can have as much light as we want (using flash) and also makes the shot sharper.
By using smaller aperture, you can get a deeper depth of field. Lenses also tend to be sharper around F4.0-5.6.
That cat is a great model! How can you go wrong haha. Anyway....Some of this negative fills....Do you really need all that stuff when you can easily achieve it in post?
I thought when you bought in negative fill, you were bringing in a new model, Negative Phil
