I'm Samoan from Australia so this was great to watch. The "coconut spinach" is actually not spinach. It's taro leaves. Wish you guys had pani popo (coconut buns). Have not met a person who doesn't love it. Also the Australians from Fiji I can tell are ethnically Indian. There's a large Indian population there. And New Zealand fish N chips is better than Aussie and British lol
Thanks for trying out food. You must try our Chile relleno and enchiladas next time. I will also try some of the other cuisines you showed on this video.
For the samoan who are shocked they're culture is being more embraced, don't be shocked. Samoan are incredible people and they deserve the praise. From a black boy of USA

Samoan food is usually the mainstream when it comes to Pacific Island cuisine as Samoa is often the most well known of the Pacific Islands alongside Tonga and Fiji. I often prefer cuisines of the other less known island nations because they often don't use or don't use at all the imported and very fatty cuts of meat most Polynesians are familiar with like lamb flaps, turkey tails, corned beef, salted beef that have become so detrimental to our health. Seeing that plate gave me flashbacks to when I was built like big mama lol.
The quality of the video is something different, the video is refreshing and positive (we really need positivity in times like this), feels like I’m right there, Great to see how far you guys have come, keep up the good work 🔥👏🏽
Phillip V Persian is just a euphemism for Farsi, Dari, etc. He is Afghan, and he can be Persian as well. Also, "Afghani" is the name for the currency, not the food nor the type of people. It's Afghan, not Afghani.
