What an awesome tutorial with so many good examples to illustrate the use of the tool! Thank you!
Hi Royal, I saw no of videos with 100 confusing steps to make a shield logo. Your method is the best, easy nd explanations crisp. Subscribed immediately.
Thank you very much for subscribing and also for your kind feedback.
Thank you for making this video! I was struggling with nodes for an hour now when I found you!
Glad I could help!
Excellent video. Thank you for teaching me the new features of inkscape 1.0. It saves a lot of time and is very efficient.
Thank you so much for making this video! So helpful to know this function exists!

This solves a lot of headaches! I just started learning Inckscape and this very helpful
Thank you very much, helping people in good is the greatest thing in this world
Excellent one , well explained and easy to follow and no jazz !! keep up the great work you are doing its greatly helping new designers like me . thank you !!!
Thanks again for your help in understanding Inkscape, And solid teaching style. After watching vidio just a few times I find that I have another tool in my tool box to create with. I'm glad that I ran across your videos. thanks again.
Glad it helped you and thank you very much for your positive feedback.
@@RoyalLogos i saw you make a F out of some box squares , how would you make a M using this style ?
Haven’t liked update 1.0 until now! Very useful and time saving tool.
Omgggg thank you soooo much. I've been looking so muchh for this
Thank you❤️
Thanks for making and sharing this video ‼️
The function i've been wanting for!!
Me Too.
Thank you for such an informative tutorial.
You have saved me from lots of trouble..Thanks a ton.
Yo, this tutorial is insanely good. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for covering this!
Inkscape 1.0 has lot many features introduced, and going through them is overwhelming.
Your way of explaining them one at a time is definitely helpful.
Subscribed to your channel, waiting for more tutorials like this.
Thank you very much brother, both for subscribing and for your kind feedback.
WOW! Thank you VERY MUCH for providing this instruction. Excellent!
This video is really great help for me.
I love it bro. Thanks for making the video
Thanks!! Your sharing helps so much! First contact with vectors for a landing page and your video is absolutely helpful thanks 👍👍👍
Very nice and informative video!
Brilliant video. I didn't realise holding down Shift (with the node tool selected) produced a dialog with more options when using the Rounded corner path effect. Thankyou very much.
Nicely done! New subscriber. Like your succinct style of demonstrating. Keep it up (thank you)!
Thank you for your kind words
Masha Allah 👌👌👌❤️
The tutorial was very helful for my computer subject new chapter Inkscape
BTW just wanted to ask you are from which country?
Indian or not?
This is very very good. Thank you.
This is great. However, I have found a way that is more closer to your chosen radius.
Important to view in outline.
Draw your shape.
Draw a circle for the radius you need. Diameter will be double of your radius.
Place the circle where it will be tangent to both lines. Small adjustments will be needed.
With your shape, use the node editor tool and double click where the tangents are to create nodes.
Delete the node between the ones created.
Select both created nodes & choose make selected nodes auto smooth.
Appearing will be handles. Leave the handles appearing inside your circle.
Drag the outer handles back into their respective nodes.
This forces the inside handles to follow a straightened path (which cannot move) for you to adjust to match the radius.
to sum up the whole video:
Path > Path Effects > "+" > Corners (Fillet/Chamfer)
very nice tutorial
much usefull thanks
Have a like sir. Excellent.
an unbelievably good tutorial
Very useful, much appreciated
Great tips, after that I'm certainly subscribing!
thank U 👍
Again, just simply a good video
very helpful, thank you sir!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was really helpful. It would be very helpful to have for stuff like this . Thanks ☺️💜
Thank you for all of your videos, great resource!
You are most welcome.
Thank you for the info, I'm starting to like Inkscape more than CorelDraw!
Awesome video! Thank you! That was very helpful.
Glad you liked it.
Very good mate! Well done.
Very informative
This video made me like and subscribe your channel
Thank you!
You're just AWESOME, thanks!
Thank you for this mate. But how can I make one corner in radius 30 mm, second radius 40 mm, third radius 50 mm and fourth corner radius 60 mm for example ?
thankyou , very useful
Again a great tutorial! Liked and Subscribed... Thank You for teaching us... Easy to understand, to the point tutorial and a CRISP one! I don't know why UA-cam hides such good tutorials behind their walls..
But then again my complain is that you're too fast for a beginner like me to follow. The speed can be easily handled using the speed feature of the UA-cam but if you please keep a gap in between your sentences, it would be great... Thank You!
Noted.
And thank you for your constructive feedback
@@RoyalLogos I was actually watching your old videos, there I found the perfect one. I even commented there Perfect... Anyway thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your videos really helps a lot and motivates in its own way. Thank You... 🙂
Thank you, this is helps
Thank your the best
best video
At first it worked just fine but when I moved an object, it suddenly started to count knot distance in mm and I can't make it back to pixels for some reason, even though "px" is selected on the right and in the document properties. Any ideas how to fix this?
Perfect
My opinion is that you rock!!
Great tutorial!
Thank you
Thanks Sir.
Vielen Dank! War ein schönes Tutorial!
Thanks!
Thank you, I have a question, after I use this path effect on rectangle , then scale down or up this rectangle, the rounded does not remain as it is. So when I scale up the rectangle, the radius decrease!! I tried to:
1 - convert rectangle to object then apply the path effect.
2- turn off/on "when scaling rectangle, scale the radii of the rounded corners" button.
none of them worked. But I tried to create a rectangle and make it rounded by the node that is found by default after you create a rectangle without applying that path effect .. then scaled the rectangle with "when scaling rectangle, scale the radii of the rounded corners" button on .. and radius still the same as I wanted. But I want to know what is the solution to keep the same radius when scaling the rectangle after applying "corners" path effect. Thanks
Fantastic, thumbs Up!
Thanks.
thanks
I was trying to round the corners to an imported image, but the + is greyed out for the path (unselectable) and it says "path is not defined."
"Path Effect" will not work directly on images, it works only on vectors.
But there is another way,
1) First draw a rectangle of same dimensions ( which your image has )
2) Then apply "Path Effect of Corners"
3) Once you are done with the rounding corners, then place your rectangle at top of your image.
4) Then select both your image and rectangle, and then "Right Click on Mouse" and select "SET CLIP"
Hope this Helps...

@@RoyalLogos Thanks a ton!
I'm working on a flower. It's basically 4 lobes, a center circle, and 4 angled spokes from the edge border to the inner circle. I've gotten many of the corners (between the spoke and the centre circle--8--and between the spoke and the outer border--8 as well--to round, but some won't change! When I click on the node and pull out, only one dot node on one side is created and nothing changes. Suggestions?
It usually happens when two nodes are overlapped over one and other. Before applying the corners effect, first select that node which is not working in rounding. You have to select by clicking once on the node and then press DELETE on keyboard.
then again apply the Corners effect and this time hopefully it will work.
Thank you, I wondered how to do this. It would be appreciated if you would talk slower though I had a hard time following you.
Sorry about that
There isn't such Corners option in Path Effects :(
I use Inkscape 0.92.3
I didint find the fillet corner
I followed this tutorial word for word. Unfortunately, my Corners are not responding to being made round. Is there some other background hidden settings that you already have on? -- apart from the ones you showed in the video?
There is no background setting.
1) You might have been using older version of inkscape.
2) Or also there can be a node overlapping at same corner.
Please install at least inkscaepe 1.0 and let me know. Thank you
It did not work for me my nodes are square not round
can i done this on inkscape 0.925?
Superb bro, 😊
❤️
I've been wondering how to make a pointed "oval" (petal shape). I followed one tutorial and you had to make overlapping circles, then difference (or something like that).
This video will help you

I wasted hours on this. Thanks god I found out this video.
Glad I could help
Большое спасибо!!!
Please make tutorial PJM letters logo
Only for the new version?
This option was available in some older versions too, but then it was removed for a while and now it is again available in inkscape 1.0.
