Hello Nick, I tell you something. You are one of the reasons I switched to Inskcape without looking back with your video tutorials here on YT for free. God bless you.
THIS IS SO NOSTALGIC to me in some point. I love to watch Nick working on logos. It take me back to 2015, when you made the time lapse videos. Absolutly AWESOME!
No I am not expecting any favors in return but damn Nick, effortless is the word that leaps to mind when I watch you create things as a teaching tool for us mere mortals. I have Inkscape and have designed some logos that worked but there was a day involved and some research put into the how the hell can I actually do this in Inkscape please Google? The content in the videos is amazing, your ease of use in the application and then the videos themselves being smooth, well thought out and narrated makes them just a joy to watch.
LOVE THIS! I wish I needed a logo. I mostly completed the master course and it is very good. Nick is actually hands on and does answer questions along with other members. Everybody should get into that ASAP. Seriously undervalued.
Man, I have been following you for years, your tutorials have been a a blessing in disguise for me and I couldn’t thank you enough even if I tried. But thank you nonetheless. ❤
Great work! I struggle trying to show my students that genrative Ai is a good tool, but not the final stop on their graphic design journey. Your video sums that up very nicely. Thanks -
I am glad to see more people are understanding the capabilities of generative tools, not like something that does the job for you, but as something that helps your reach higher quality.
Thanks for the video. Excellent demonstration that (for the moment) Ai is good for references and ideas, but nothing like the hand of the artist or the designer.
fantastic. I really want to get better at doing the outlining. I was working on something yesterday where I wanted to make an outline of the text but when I made it bigger it just didn't make a wider outline. I ended up having to just turn it black and use it as a shadow.
I love the shameless plug. Nick is the man. I have learned so much about Inkscape from you. Learning to design and create is very fulfilling. So to basically assert your own creativity and show how valuable your own expertise is in a video like this is a straight win in my book.
I totally agree. I've just invested in the course bundle and am very enthused by what it contains. Not long subscribed to this channel and rather wish I'd found it earlier.
Thank you so much Nick .. Do you have any course that gives the principles of creating logos (ideas), choosing the color patterns, etc... like the job of chatGPT in this video ... I don't know whats this specialty called, but I am a lot interested.
Wow. This is a real master class in logo design. It's so weird to me that generative AI images almost never get text right (likely for the same reason why many AI-generated people and human characters have polydactyly, the AI has no idea that 5 fingers is the overwhelming norm and can't draw hands with that context), it's like that Batman animated episode where the Scarecrow puts Batman in a permanent nightmare and the newspapers were all completely unreadable.
Haha, I've been doing it recently with Bing. Describing a real logo gives interesting results, such as 'coffee chain logo with highly stylized mermaid'.
There are mockup templates you can download (.PSD files) and drop your design into using Photoshop. You can also use them with a free web-based version of Photosho ("Photopea"). I have a tutorial on this channel for it if you search "using mockup templates without Photoshop".
Hi, I'm pretty new when it comes to Inkscape. New as in "downloaded Inkscape about 3 hours ago" new haha. I am wondering, how did you put on those mockups? Looks really cool.
When I want to size any object, while the aspect lock is on (this is how I generally use it), when I enter the measurement value for width and length, another one changes automatically as the dimension. Why am I having this problem even though the aspect is not locked? Can you help me.
Great video! I have an issue: I am exporting a logo to png/jpeg and it is blurring the edges. Is there a way to prevent that? I know that if I export and scale I should expect to lose detail but if I export at size I would have thought that it would maintain the quality at that size.
Sir can you make a tutorial on how to edit the import image (jpeg) example i want to change the color of the image.. so hard for me to use pen tool when the image is so detailed.. Thank you
Sorry this is not relevant to the video but using my xppen tablet with inkscape crashes it a ton just drawing several calligraphy strokes is it normal? Ver. 1.3.2 on windows
Nice video Nick. I admire your skills. I have made my logo also with inkscape. But it took a while before i was happy with it. As a professional, what do you think of it?
I went to ChatGPT and asked for name of a company and then asked it to create a logo for that name. It returned that it was a text-based and could only provide a description. What gives?
Oh no, Nick has sold out to the AI overlords already! I would have sworn he'd last a little longer than some? I know it's inevitable 😄soon we'll all be using AI tools without even thinking about it.
AI needs to be abolished. The unfortunate reality is that the plagiarism that is AI will analyze this video and the new logo created, "learn" from it and take that into consideration in the future getting closer and closer to making humanity obsolete.
Just imagine where the technology will be in 5 years the AI will be so much more advanced we are only just beginning to develop it. Right now there’s ways to tell if certain images were made with AI such as the typos or weird hands with incorrect fingers but very soon they will be indistinguishable when compared to work from the most skilled graphic designers. Graphic design is sadly a dying industry as there will be no reason for any company to buy designs or anything anymore when they can use AI for free and is completed instantly.
Why u even need ai generated logos, it gives most generic forms that used most commonly. If u already know inkscape its better to make original one urself
Have you ever had a client not knowing what they want but having Grand ideas? Well using AI in this case would be beneficial for fast prototyping cause at the end of the day you still are going to have to do tons of work to get it ready for printing etc...

That people is why Nick is the master on UA-cam for inkscape
Great work!
THAT‘S the way to handle the „competition“ of ai as an artist

A very, very useful tutorial. Thanks, Nick! 🤙

You're the Inkscape GOAT
Great video,,, there is something new to learn in each video you make Nick.

Yeah it really struggles with text and fingers. It's one of the quickest tells with AI art.
Would love a tutorial on how to do the faux "wood version" of the logo. I bought your course and loved it. Even as a long time user, I learned a lot!
Haha, I've been doing it recently with Bing. Describing a real logo gives interesting results, such as 'coffee chain logo with highly stylized mermaid'.
Nice work and a great video. How do you do the mock-ups? I enjoy working with graphics, but I still have a lot to learn. Thanks in advance!!

I'll take your course anytime soon

how did you remove the outline?
wonderful video!

As a professional, what do you think of it?
It's an effect or something else? What is that red layer ?
How are you getting GPT to generate images like that?
I gave the same question, when I asked chatgpt, it said it couldn't make images but gave me a 'visual description'
@@sleepyf95 The only thing I can think of it being, is a premium feature you have to pay for.
I replicated the exact same steps and got nowhere.
nicely done 😎
Love your shameless plugs :)
Hello, a question, do the courses have subtitles in Spanish? I really want to see the course :(
The subtitles are only in English, sorry
What program is this? It doesn't look like Illustrator.
Inkscape
Could you not “trace bitmap” and edit that? I’ve been trying that out with some AI things.
Masterpiece ! You should trade marked " human generated logo" 😁
Can you provide a slower step by step of how you did this?
thank you
Very Nice Thanx
Interesting that the logos it generated all looked somewhat like snow globes.
Genial Nick
Awesome
I went to ChatGPT and asked for name of a company and then asked it to create a logo for that name. It returned that it was a text-based and could only provide a description. What gives?
It’s in the paid version only
❤
Lmao I just added a sloppy AI-generated logo to my project, perfect timing!

AI needs to be abolished. The unfortunate reality is that the plagiarism that is AI will analyze this video and the new logo created, "learn" from it and take that into consideration in the future getting closer and closer to making humanity obsolete.
Who will consume what the AI produces if humanity is obsolete? What will AI do after that?
I think it should cite its sources. That's why I like Perplexity AI, they at least cite their sources and link to them.
abolished 😂

It's good for idea generation, color pallets, etc.
So you avoid paying graphic designers, but you sacrifice genuity and quality
The background music on this video is distracting and unhelpful.
