- In this episode we see some old friends back in the shop helping to bring Leo's Vespa back to life. I find out that I purchased the wrong wiring harness and in the end decide to modify and use it, along with getting all the cables ran through the body.

I have a method for changing cables that works pretty well. I made up a cable inner that's extra long with a nipple on the end. I feed it through the new cable outer and then through the old outer that is in the Vespa body. By pulling on the cable wire(long inner) you can pull the old outer through the body and the new outer follows it. You could even use fishing line. Has worked for me and I've been playing with these Italian shopping bikes for forty years.
thats a great idea!
Love seeing the outside of shop
I still have a P200 I bought from you in TX years ago.... Its buried in the back of my shop... Will see the light of day soon!
Great job Joe. How's the progress? I wished I've gone the battery less route for my p200. I have that same factory wiring harness in a PK with the stator power wire going to the headset, down to regulator and back to headset. It works great with very bright turn signals that don't need a battery, even at idle. Your junction box connection was very clean. I would have gone with using the junction box as it was connected to the harness because I would not have done such a great job connecting the wires.
BTW, I was in your shop during the 2017 BEM rally. I was the black guy with the GL. Thanks again for your hospitality. I hope the project or completed project is doing well.
Just uploaded part 4!
Mammamiaaaaaa 😊👌
My 0.02 cents. Spend the 40 bucks get the right harness from Scooterwest.
I put a “PK Jeremy” style harness in my Stella - 1 wire AC regulator and power to head, tail and brake. Definitely not for everyone but good enough for a Sunday rider
When we built "Frank 2.0" for the cannonball it was a totally custom harness. This one wasn't too bad but the fuel sending wires threw me for a loop.
