Period art shows landsknecht carrying two-handed greatswords with twisted katzbalger-esque quillons. Bjorn Ruther has a few videos exploring the German battlesword, including this one (ua-cam.com/video/pWUKmJ2IGtg/v-deo.html) wherein he uses a greatsword with twisted quillons. Was fairly common on historical pieces as far as I know, but they're definitely just greatswords. Nothing fundamentally different about them and other zweihanders besides the crossguard/hilt. :)
Fantastic cutting 🤘💀 looks like a beast of a sword
The Battlesword is such a great design, just looks so utilitarian. As always some very impressive cutting as well.
You make it look so easy.
Always thought those swords looked a little funny but certainly looks like it works
Looks like a Jian
Looks like a giant katsbalger
I saw the stand & thought *_Aikidoka got up new view_* then, "who is Phillip Martin?" =)
Would that be considered a two-handed Katzbalger, or what?😲

No price for this piece?
1880 USD including shipping for Red Baron. No more blue baron will be made. That's the only one, and that belongs to Phillip Martin. :)
@@LancelotChan Thank you.
