    Just ordered TORCH’s Front Shocks for my Ranger because the extended shocks on my already lifted ranger from another kit SUCKED! For the longest time I couldn’t find extended shocks that would work with the ranger until Torch Offroad appeared in the search results this month with a very generous deal about $60/shock I didn’t need the torsion keys they sold with them but its still a good price. Thank you so much Torch Offroad because my trucks been driving with no shocks for months. 😢

    I did this job recently and thought that 2 jaw pullers would be the way to go but it makes for a much more dangerous job. The "lift" style torsion keys require lot more force to install than the OEM keys and the 2 jaw pullers are always on the verge of slipping off or bending over. It is much safer and easier to use the unloading tool shown in this video. After messing with the 2 jaw pullers for a while, I ended up just buying the right tool for the job.

    How do you know how far to screw back in the key bolt? Mark it before taking it out?

    • @torchoffroad
      @torchoffroad  9 місяців тому

      I usually suggest measuring your front ride height before installing so you can track the amount of lift during the installation. I recommend installing the keys at a lower lift setting first, then gradually cranking them up until you’ve reached the 3” lift above stock height. The number of screw turns would depend on the vehicle and the state of your suspension -TORCH

    I have a 08 ranger , I’m not seeing what you are in the front. Could it be a different frame?

      You probably don’t have tortion suspension. Some rangers don’t

      If your suspension looks different, it’s possible your 2008 Ranger has coil spring suspension instead of torsion bars. We offer a coil spring spacer lift for the Ranger as well. If you're unsure, please contact us and I'll be happy to help -TORCH

    This fit on Mazda b3000 2wd 20001?

    • @torchoffroad
      @torchoffroad  9 місяців тому

      I’ve not tested this on the 2001 Mazda B3000 2WD so I can’t guarantee the fitment. However, from my understanding the Mazda B3000 has a similar suspension to the Ford Ranger. If your Mazda has torsion bar suspension, it’s possible this could fit. Please contact us directly and I'll be happy to discuss the fitment in more detail -TORCH

    How hard is this lift on your suspension, I’ve heard it makes everything sideways suspension wise and rides very rough

    • @torchoffroad
      @torchoffroad  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for your question. Whenever the suspension is altered, it will change the feel compared to the factory ride quality. However, this kit maintains the stock ride feel pretty closely. In my experience, I’ve not had buyers report a rough or bumpy ride with this kit installed for up to a 3” lift above factory height -TORCH

    You can buy a set of 2 jaw pullers from harbor freight for $30. They work great for this instead of making cuts.

    if you had a two jaw puller you wouldn't have to grind a chunk of metal out, im 16 and figured that out by using my brain.

      these guys sell a torsion unloading tool made specifically for rangers that i have that fits perfect and is safer than anything else

      It does not always work well, especially when putting in lift keys.
      It angles itself bad at times (see how it keeps wanting to go towards inside of truck). Much better to use one of these guys for keys bigger than the factory height. Done it both ways and sketch with 2 jaw puller
