Thank you for the videos! I'm bringing our Blenheim puppy home on 5/22/21 so I'm taking in as much info as I possibly can. My sister has one so that's why I decided on the Cavalier breed.
I used a crate with my 2 year old for about 6 months and now she is full time in our bed lol!! Our 8 week old is definitely in a crate BUT as she grows I am sure she will be with all of us in the bed at night! Thank you for posting you videos!!
Hi! Love your channel. I'm a CK owner for 11 years now. One passed away last Nov 😥 and I was worried for the other one because they grew up together. On Feb 13th I welcomed 2 puppies to fill the hole, at least physical, and to avoid ending up with just one again. Believe me: (at least) 2 us always better! They're small breed, so 1 or 2 doesn't really make a difference in managing them, but you get plenty of advantages. F.i. if you have to go out and leave them alone 4 a few hours. But you already have another dog, so it's ok that way. If you're looking for a younger playful companion, could be a great idea, if you don't mind dealing with three leashes and a lot of poo bags 😅
Thank you! I'm sorry to hear about the lost of your pup, but its beautiful you welcomed 2 more into your family! I think its defiantly worth it despite all the extra poo haha. Once when I was walking down 5th ave in NYC I saw this women walking 5 cavaliers on leashs! I strive to be her one day in life.
off topic but was Crate training hard for you for Slater? Just picked up my Ruby and the 3rd night he started barking :( sad to say i had to bring him in to bed and sleep with him as it was like 4 Am in the morning and I live in apartments :(. Hoping he sleeps ok tonight.
It was defiantly challenging at first. He would cry in his crate too but after the 4th and 5th night he got custom to it. But I also made sure he went for a walk or played before going in so he will be tired. Also, before you put your pup in the crate try leaving a small treat in there for him so he can associate it with good things.
Hi Sydney! I would just like to say that I really love your content - it'sthank you!! I am getting a Blenheim Cavalier puppy in 3 and a half weeks and I couldn't be more excited!! I just had one Q... I did quite a lot of research into Cavaliers and the heath conditions etc before deciding upon this breed, but you mentioned Slater takes heart medication? He seems so young and I just wondered if you could explain more about this
Hi Madeleine! Thank you for the love and support! SO exciting that you're getting a pup soon! Sure, so Slater takes a monthly heartworm preventive. My vet and breeder recommended it since they have sensitive hearts. Some heartworm preventives come in combos such as flea, tick, etc. but I only have him on the single.
Hello! Nice video. Subscribed! I'm just curious to know if you give Slater heart medication as prophylaxis or if he has a heart murmur already (if you don't mind sharing this information).
It depends on where you get your caviler. Genetic and health testing is typically done by breeders, which contributes to the expensive cost. However, MVD is common in the breed.
Hi! I know your busy with all these questions so it’s okay if you don’t respond! I’m going to get this dog breed and I’v researched online plenty!! Apparently, If their female they settle in after 1 year and tend to be more calmer than male but do they still have a puppy playful behaviour and love you the same?
Hey there! When it comes to females and males it really just depends on the dog and personality. I don’t think one is calmer than the other because I’ve met other Cavaliers with so many unique personalities:)
My Dutchess and I love your videos. She a 4 year old Blenheim. This breed is so affectionate and sweet.
Thank you! :)

Congrats on your new puppy!! You’re going to fall in love so quickly with this breed.

I wish I have one of these dogs. They're known to be among the most affectionate breeds around.
It’s a wonderful breed I can’t rave enough about them :)

Thank you :) and what I actually meant to say is that he takes a heart worm preventive once a month.
@@SydneyFrancia Gotcha!
is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel born with the heart issue automatically or does he not get born with taht issue automaticaly ?

Are those dog treats dairy free?
