11:24 I was so bad at this part. I gunned it on my Honda NSR150SP 2 stroke. I was probably doing 40. I basically dropped the bike but I was strong enough to hold it from touching the ground. I passed.

@@titaniumquarrion9838 Because some of the tests, particularly the u-turn are way harder on a bike with really upright forks. The point is to pass the test and get your licence so why not use a bike that's going to make passing the test as easy as possible.
@@The_Other_Dan My statement stands as does the rational behind it. If you can't pass what is such a basic level piss easy test on the bike you are going to ride on the road you shouldn't have license and shouldn't be on the road.

In the group ride doesn’t matter just be safe. In the actual test is where you will be closely checked . Dropping your bike . Head checks I’m not sure there is a few more things that I forgot
What does comms have to do with navigation? Do you mean GPS or phone nav apps then yes you can use them but don't start messing around with it while riding as you cant do that. If you need to adjust your nav app/GPS you have to pull over and do it.
@@titaniumquarrion9838 what if someone gets caught at a set of lights or a round about? How will they know where the group has gone? How will they know where to go? Does the instructor need to give them instructions whilst on the ride?
@@lafaele1980 I thought you meant navigation in general while learning... The instructors are very experienced and the pace is right to minimize issues as are checks and balances if the group gets split at lights etc. If you are worried you'll get lost on your Ps ride don't sweat it. You'll get a thorough brief on conduct and "what ifs". Worst case, like for any group ride, if you are separated and unsure where to go the best thing to do is pull over somewhere safe and wait. They'll come back for you.

I was always at the back and ended getting separated a few times for various reasons, just listen to the instructor and you can do no wrong :)
Hay bro great vid got me L last AUG had some hiccups with my first bike topend needed rebuilt then was out of riding for 3 month then got my ktm duke the. Someone hit me from behind so no bike now been out of riding for 3 month,used to ride dirt bikes as a kid so no myself around the bike,I’m going for my ps July l,bit nervous you think I’ll do alright
How long was the total test I understand that the ride was about an hour like you said but after you were able to complete the most test were you able to leave before the 8 hour day is done?
Individual test should only take 10 to 15 minutes but depends how many people is in the class that’s why it takes so long. The whole thing takes 8hours overall with safety instructions, group ride, lunch, test and no you can’t leave early
Booked mine on the 13th August same bike but full fairing. It good to see someone finally using a full-size bike not using the small hire bike 125. ( rip off $170 for the day )
@@Marzyxx hope you rebooked and passed, nothing wrong with a bigger bike you just need to have the confidence and technical skill. the little 125s they have are pretty clunky, i'd almost argue they're harder to ride with their small gears
@@SpaghettioH practised on the bigger bike got the u turn perfected within 2 hours. Hired their bike last minute and passed the thought potentially dropping my new bike was making me nervous.
I didn’t practice those test drills until that day, but if you can control the throttle and the clutch and a little bit of the rear brake you be ok👍 With the group ride if you do find yourself behind everyone try your best to keep up so you don’t get lost.

I’m wearing timberlands but they are not strict on footwear you can wear anything. Before the group ride you will be told all the hazards

You will most likely have your bike running most of the time even when the instructor is talking during the pre test and the actual test

No should be okay. I had a full exhaust system on the cb650r

Yes you have to book the rider test online or give them a call. Once you pass go to service nsw update your license

Yes they do go over everyones bikes but for being to loud I’m not to sure if they will reject it. Just hope for the the best

What gopro mount is that?
The mount came with the go pro and I used 3m double sided tape and tape it to my helmet

Do you take turns leader?
The instructor is usually at the front leading the direction. Everyone takes turns to be behind him. If that makes sense*

How many points can you lose before its a fail?
You only have 8 points, Some things are straight fail like dropping your bike during the test and some things I don’t remember.
Forgetting to check your mirrors and blindspot is also a straight fail.
