for me this was the scariest ride but one of the most interesting. it’s a lot more effective when you’re actually stood in the room. sadly these behind the scene classic attractions are all being replaced :(
Damn. Scared the living daylight out of me when i was younger. Still remember it like yesterday.. Lmao i cried the entire time together with my niece. Those are great memories.
Oh lala...
It’s sad that I’ll never get to ride this awesome ride
I remember when I was little I went there with my grandma and cousins I cried the whole ride especially when it dropped
Honestly seems like a cool concept. I always love these effects heavy type attractions, and this is giving me classic Universal vibes which I really liked. Sucked that there’s not more to the ride as a whole, but the effects and the screens were pretty cool imo
Visited this attraction in 2004 thanks to a college class about European architecture. So I sneaked my way to Disneyland Paris instead of touring another museum. I’m glad I did. I’ve visited three Disney parks so far around the world. My dream would be to visit Tokyo Disney. 😢
this is so cool. reminds me of the twister ride and earthquake
Good to know i wasn't the only one crying for his life on this ride
This attraction gives me some serious Universal Studios "Backdraft" vibes.
Speaking of which, I'm old enough to remember when Armageddon was the highest grossing live-action Disney film. (under the Touchstone Pictures banner).
Slow start to the attraction but progresses into a full sensory immersive fun fest. I like it! Good job Disney Paris team. The design execution and dialogue are good imo. I think an enhanced pre-show and an updated CGI for the window screens would really make this attraction a solid one.
I can't believe this ride is closed permanently... i remember when i was 14/15 and we visited this amazing ride. makes people feel pain about this bad news i really liked this so much to see there i wish we could do something about it 🥺🙏🏼
the most painful thing to hear this sad news 😔
I really like how this ride is just a parallel ending to the movie, it takes place on the Russian Space Station, and you see tons of debris coming at you, and there comes the Asteroid.
5:10 is where it begins
I remeber riding this as a kid and finding it so cool scary and instresting at the same time
There are a lot of people in the comments who have apparently never seen Armageddon...
This is so Universal Studios.
Looks pretty cool
I remember going on this ride around 2010, it absolutely terrified me and my father made fun of me for crying.
In a decades old hindsight, it was likely the intense overstimulation and the feeling of being helpless as this small room seemingly crumbled and burned all around you. Didn't stop me from going on it again (and crying, again) though.
Armageddon became one of my favourite films, to the point where my father drove 6 hours to give me the dvd in person for my birthday. Unfortunately I'm now absolutely terrified of space, so it was nice while it lasted.
Wait a second, this is a space station, why is the fire outside burning like it would on Earth??
-5 points
You need to watch the movie. Nasa uses it to test astronauts to see who can find the most scientific inaccuracies.
@@nospeedboundaries lol
Cause it's based on a Michael Bay movie. Duh.
@@nospeedboundaries fake news
J’avais l’impression de l’avoir imaginé cette attraction me manque
I Don't want to Miss a thing
When I went to paris with my dad, I must've been only about 7 years old at best. I had absolutely no idea what this ride was, and it absolutely terrified me. I had some weird PTSD rewatching this lol, as I wasn't sure if it was real or a fever dream. I'm thankful to have finally found it though, relieved I didn't make it up in my head. As a kid I was somehow convinced that we were actually genuinely in space and that meteors were actually hitting us and I lost my little mind. I was in fact so convinced we were going to die, that my dad had to locate help inside the ride and we were let out through a door. This was just way too much for me to process at that time. Always left a really weird feeling for me, that has now finally been cleared up by now 25yr old me that this was indeed a ride, and I'm not mental lol.
Ffs why do they ruin this all the classics with superheroes. This was one of my favourites as a child.
This ride (walk-throw) is espectacular but it is necessary to focus events through light and alerts. The public does not know where to look and stays in the center without understanding the achievement of actions that lead to the final flare.
JR Jorge I can see that point, but to me i think the team wanted that element of surprise in their attraction which in theory brings in the viewer more in the story line. For me,I think they could do with a more updated CGI to bring in those nice shaders and light casting.
This is cool but I don’t mind losing it for Spider-Man
excepted more from disney. this is universal quality :(
That’s 10min ill never get back
I remember doing this one years ago and all the children in the room panicked 0_0
Some little kids (who I seriously question why they were here) started to completely freak out.
It starts quite slow, but as it builds and builds it gets very intense.
The walls closing in to collisions, the heat turning up, the red lights flikkering, the astronaut increasingly getting anxious and the floor dropping at some point.
Didn't this one have a warning or age recommandation or something?
It would have been nice if the Subtitles were on. Or at least seen at the Video cause not everyone can Speak french or understand it... And I seen there are Subtitles in this Attraction.
But still this is an amazing Simulation!
Stop keeping the subtitles out of frame, I can't hear what she's saying! 😡
I went on this when i was 9 and cried 💀💀
Twister Ride It Out in Orlando has the same concept. Its better when your actually there. Especially when those lights go out. Something is happening to the audience. At first is seems underwhelming. Didn't know this show existed. Only in France.
If this was real, those astronauts were really having a bad day, aren't they?
That’s... it....
My parents told me when I was little I was screaming I’m falling help me when it dropped
Needs a re-theme. Hopefully this will become some sort of "Stark Lab" tour.
No, but Spiderman D-Tickets ride, based on the same system than Toy Story Mania. In a new building. 😉
@@zobyeg62 Damn, another shit webshooter ride? This is sad.
When I was 12 I did this it was terrifying.
Is it weird to anyone else that this was a Disney film?
So you just stand there....
I rode this Armageddon ride before way back in 2014. All I did on the ride was to hang out on the exit door with a very sexy female Disneyland Paris cast member.
step up your game FL Paris has this and we dont
it seems that Lev will never live to become a russian hero
Glorified Mission to Mars.
Return yesterday from disneyland paris but this attraction are closed
It's being remade for a marvel themed land that will open in 2022
@@thekat2784 i know it , fantastic , after this pandemic return in disneyland only for this ahahah
This kinda reminds me of the new ride rise of resistance
When I was there I thought the pre show with all the fx was very promising, but then the doors opened and there was no attraction...
Honestly, I can't wait for this to close so they can build the Spiderman ride. It's just so old and irrelevant
why? this looks so cool!! and scary! a spiderman ride really... lame...
@@goofy28407 an armageddon ride? Lame. It looks much cooler than it really is. You just stand around in a room with no idea where to look
@@nospeedboundaries Superman??? This is a Disney theme park, Disney owns Marvel, Superman is DC. I think you mean Iron Man lmao
@@adrianvillena5195 and I think you need to learn how to read
@@nospeedboundaries OH lmao my bad!
why do theme parks have to have a ride about the world coming to an end?
The best part of this disaster film was Aerosmith’s I don’t want to miss a thing
This ride closes on April 01 for a new Spiderman Attraction!
😌 Good choice!
JT O definitely
Didn’t know this existed....
Same
Yes exist
Didn't know Armageddon was part of Disney lol
@@Seroxm13 it was released by touchstone which is owned by Disney. I think they used them to release nightmare Before christmas back when it was released
RW:well we all know what happened in the movie anyway.
American components. Russian components... ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!
Was a bit boring.. too much preshow.
Is this Universal? Lol
TheMonsterGroovy I know right
Armageddon? What year is it??
Have you...have you seriously never seen Armageddon?
@@rprince418 ?
The movie was made in 1998.
a long preshow
I'm very glad this attraction is gone because it may look fun on video but it was so useless
Terrible... Close it! 20 years ago!
It has nice effects, good story, and screaming reactions.
Worst. Ride. Ever.
-Comic book guy
This attraction sucks they should replace it for a big hero 6 ride!
what?!
@@checksandbalences you heard me I want a big hero 6 ride
David Padilla yeahhhhh!!!
Wow. So boring...
La pire attraction
Boring !!! What a waste.
