I really wish you guys would give the buffalo area a shot! Lacrosse has grown exponentially here and it’s amazing to see
i agree buffalo would be a great market, but it would be hard to justify having two teams in NY when there are only 8 teams bc you have to have 1 in nyc.
But..... the bandits regularly sell more tickets to their games vs all other nll teams, and half of the chaos are bandits players.
Only works for indoor. Outdoor pro lacrosse has never been profitable west of Albany
Man, you guys need to be in the Bay Area. Oakland has lost all their teams, so the residents would quickly flock and show up. It's less likely to come here first, but I can see an expansion one day.
y'all have the roots the mls might go there
So 8 markets/areas
1) New England- Cannons
2) New York - Atlas
3) Phillie - Whipsnakes
4) Baltimore- Washington (Chesapeake Bay) - WaterDogs
5) Mid-West (out of Chicago) - Red Woods
6) Carolinas - Chrome
7) West Coast and Rockys - Archers
8) Canada - chaos
Whipsnakes not being the Maryland team makes zero sense
@@dylanvcr I agree but the same goes for Atlas. If you can’t give them both Baltimore- how does it not end up being the Waterdogs in that area. Even the colors work.
I say this as a Whipsnakes fan - who hates Philie - I live in Pittsburgh 😢.
No matter- its a fun experiment.
The one that goes like that for me as well is Red woods belong in Chicago but would sound better as the “West Coast Red Woods. Switch the Archers to the Mid west
Nah midwest better get water dogs. We have the great lakes
Bruhhhh how do you NOT have the redwoods as the West Coast team…. They’re named after Redwood National Park in CA🤣
@@dpowell9377 I agree with you and feel the Mid West Archers would sound better as a natural switch. The only reason I put Red Wood as the Mid West team is because they really started as the “Notre Dame” team of the PLL. Plus, the Archers core players feel west coast. But in the end, I think your switch ends up being what would happen.
I felt the same way about the Baltimore-Washington area with Whipsnakes and Atlas. Only issue is there can only be one team in that market and how do you choose between them- they started as Maryland and Hopkins after all. Thus, I went with Waterdogs because I think the PLL will go back the to the Old “Chesapeake Bay” region name so MD and VA are represented together. I have to say, the “Bay Dogs” will catch on as a cool nickname if that happened.
Cant wait to see where these teams end up, hopefully one is in Chicago
Yes show chi town some love!!!!
Chicago chrome
@@astnz28w
Yes yes yes Chicago choas
CT better get a team such a powerhouse for lacrosse players
Bay Area! Loved seeing Romar Dennis with the Oakland lacrosse club. I’m a coach with Berkeley lacrosse club. And big on spreading the sport to more kids of color. Both my kids play and love it. Keep growing the sport on the west coast
Been recommending this for years so glad there doing it
Glad to hear this!
Thought they’d need more teams before doing this, but then they said the touring model is staying for some time, which is great. In Paul I trust!
We need one in Oregon
LETS GOO RETURN OF THE BOSTON CANNONS
We need more teams!!!
Bay Area needs one
Fr
Redwoods would make sense
Rabil should be in San Fran. Hearing him say he was the best dressed in the best dressed locker room made my rear end pucker. I would never go near that guy. He should just lock himself in a basement in San Fran and spend the rest of his days with dudes.
The grooming vibes are off the charts. I can't believe anyone would send a kid to his camp.
He literally makes me not want to play lax.
Albany Chaos or NY Chaos (in Albany)
Redwoods
Paul Rabil just got GOT by one of the best points I have ever heard Carc make. "I am not rooting for my favorite team anymore if you send em *insert city here* BOOM. Roasted. This is going to be a huge problem and you will lose money.
I think Baltimore, Boston, Denver, LA, Minnesota, NY, Utah, and Albany will get a team.
Personally I want a LA or an SD team as a SoCal fan.
don’t you think Canada deserves a team? They got the richest lacrosse history and huge amounts of NLL fans and lacrosse city’s (mostly british columbia[west coast]), field lacrosse is better than box so Canadians are begging for a PLL team.
@Ty Clanton: I think it starts with TV markets being anchors to regions. Televised capabilities will need to increase which means anchoring to regions and areas with the largest TV draws. Albany and NYC are too close regionally to have two teams.
Largest US tv markets are: 1 NYC, 2 LA, 3 Chicago, 4 Philly, 5 Dallas/Ft Worth, 6 Atlanta, 7 Houston, 8 Wash DC, 9 Boston, 10 Cali Bay Area, 11 Phoenix, 12 Seattle, 13 Tampa Bay, 14 Detroit, 15 Minny/St Paul, 16 Denver. Las Vegas is 40 and St Louis is 24. Baltimore is 28. Salt Lake is 29.
The current 8 teams are Archers, Atlas, Cannons, Chaos, Chrome, Redwoods, Waterdogs, and Whipsnakes.
I think they do a California team and a Texas team. Too large a of states to leave out. USALacrosse is investing into growth heavily in Texas. Lacrosse is growing like crazy in Texas and they will want to keep that.
@Spencer Madigin If you add a Canadian team it’s likely at the expense of an Atlanta team but you’d like a southern presence based on top 8.
I think it goes:
NY Chrome
California Redwoods
Great Lakes Waterdogs (Chicago)
Philly Atlas
Texas Chaos
Atlanta Archers
DC (covers DMV) Whipsnakes
Boston Cannons
I think a four team expansions grows it Canada/Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, and Florida. You could move Chaos to Phoenix (scorpion and all) and Atlas to Texas (cattle and all). Denver, Florida, Seattle/Vancouver, and Philly all get new teams and team names. But likely they’d like to keep them aligned. I could see Philly get left off until expansion in favor of Phoenix or Denver for regional purposes. So maybe Phoenix or Vegas as the Chaos and Texas as the Atlas. Not sure.
Got to come to the Buffalo area! We go crazy for lacrosse here!
Need one in Raleigh NC to represent the Carolinas

waterdogs to MN i need to see michael sowers more often man.
As a non-PLL fan, but a lacrosse player from high school (many many years ago) How/where does a league of 8 teams live without a city?
They currently all have to live in same geographic area near each other to practice.
So where do the players of each particular team primarily live?
Love it keep up work
One team for Canada would be appreciated.
it would probably be Toronto.
I think Canadian Chaos rolls off the tongue and they’re red! It just makes sense to me!
Pretty sick
This was a huge problem that the PLL had. I’ve been saying this since the beginning of when I started playing…
There needs to be a base of where things come from and especially from a business stand point it’s a smart move by making city/state based teams because it makes things more competitive and more worth playing for something. Also now this fixes home/away Jersey issues as well.
yup home/away jerseys, alternate uniforms, different edition uniforms
Probably more merch sales
Make a competitive physical Tcg of the players that can be used in a field and box "Format"
Canadian West Coast Team 💪🥍🇨🇦
How/where does a league of 8 teams currently live without a base city name/location? They currently all have to live in the same geographic area, near each other, to practice.
So where do the players of each particular team currently primarily live?
San Diego needs one
How's the double header gonna work like is one team gonna get a bye week?
Big step for the PLL
TQL Stadium in Cincinnati would be perfect. Already the same colors as the Archers
I feel like you need more teams in order to get a city based team because some people will no longer be a fan of the PLL because they dont have a home town team.
Hoping for a VA based chaos team, and the whips Inaugural ship was too iconic of a game to put them anywhere other than PA
I really hope this works, and I get the timing. Their business model was probably to grow the league SUPER fast with the traveling method but it was never sustainable. They were taking HUGE losses with the travel style. I think to keep the league alive financially this was the only way. The roots aren’t that deep yet that fans won’t just switch teams if their team is assigned to another region. Not a big deal
PLEASE AT LEAST ONE IN CANADA PLEASE!!! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Miami Chaos hear we go! 🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂🦂
There should be a team in Minnesota, there’s a nice stadium and a lot of fans
please choose st louis for the midwest team
Bayhawks, Lizards, and Outlaws come back when theybgo regional, since they now own all the MLL names.
🔥
I think for the PLL fans are more fans of the game than the teams. Viewership and attendance wont drop with location associated teams.
Mountain West please!
Please give one to Milwaukee or Chicago
Personally I would love to see the Outlaws make a return to Denver and a team placed in Canada!
In Paul we trust 🙏
Ok ok here me out though. The Texas whipsnakes. There could be so much cool stuff you could do with that like there slogan could be “the lone star snakes” instead of the lone star state
What about when your favorite team is in a different state and your least favorite team becomes your home state team and it makes you not like this structure
True. I don’t like Whips or Chaos. Better not end up in my area.
@@jjlax7 Chaos has a southwest feel. I wouldn’t worry about it. Whipsnakes likely end up as the DMV team. Baltimore, Virginia, and DC will likely share a team as a region.
"when the world changes you adjust" 🤷🏾♂
@@michaeldail1642 I could picture Chaos ending up in Utah. They already have the same colors as the University of Utah, and scorpions are native to the state. Hell, I could even imagine them flat out being renamed the Utah/Salt Lake Scorpions if they wanted a more traditional name.
@@thestapler not bad. I could see that too. I went based off TV markets in looking at where they end up. Salt Lake is a smaller market than Denver (plus Denver is a lacrosse town). But that being said, I saw Chaos as either Texas or Phoenix. But I don’t hate the salt lake idea.
YEEESSSS WHATEVA NY TEAM I'M IN!!
Atlanta Archers
so bring the sport to TSN, holy fuck how many times i gotta ask, canada wants to watch too
Need one in buffalo big lacrosse area
Buff will share regionally a team. Likely with the NY area team. Could also be in a rust belt team. (Chrome?)
We need one for us Florida boys
Let's gooooooooo
Yo I’m level 2 in pll app!
Rochester NY please 🙏🏼
Nice give washington or virginia a team
My guess is Whipsnakes will be the team for the DMV area including Maryland and Virginia
Hope Florida gets a team, LET'S GOOOOOOO!
I sure hope the PLL still rotates to new markets and gets more teams!!!
Don’t leave Seattle out, look at the rugby league and how big our fandom is, as well as the sounders where we have one of the biggest markets now
Please bring back the nationals ! Canada needs a team
Chaos is basically team Canada 🇨🇦
Ca Redwoods🤷♂️
We'll see how it goes, but I agree with some people, when the unique aspects of this league is the touring. Teams not being bound to a city.
I used to root for the NY Lizards in MLL.
I hadn't really set on a team in the PLL, but I've enjoyed watching the games.
I feel like it's easier to get people all over the country, to just pick their favorite team, without having City loyalty.
I just don't want to see PLL take a step backwards in building fans.
I agree but I also feel like I need a more local team to really attach to. Up until that I'm kinda a half ass fan of the redwoods and water dogs
Minneapolis or Minnesota needs a Team!!!
I don’t honestly care too much about where the teams are, I will still love the league. But it would be so cool to have the “Miami whipsnakes”
New York-chrome
Long Island-archers
Founders league model…phew five years wow that flew by! Great job PLL & Rabils for growing the game. My question is how do we get a Caitlin Clark effect in such an athletic sport, get someone to date like a Taylor swift lol people can dream, 💭 big!
Instead of just letting it be your team as a fan
Dc - chaos
Philly - whips
Seattle - water dogs
Boston - cannons
SLC - redwoods
Albany - archers
Colorado - chrome
Dallas - atlas
baltimore bayhawks pls it be amazing too see all the bmore players team up it is a dream team lets go waterdogs
I think the city name association for the teams will be tremendous for the league, and will grow it even more. Now if we could just do something about the gimmicky, crappy 2-point shot, and the too-short-by-10 fields. Those need to go.
The Baltimore team name needs serious thought-- because its such a hotbed for the sport. For instance, the Baltimore "Chrome" would just suck.
Great points. I hate the short field and 2 point shots. Plus, the obnoxious goal announcements.
@@jjlax7 The short PLL field makes the game spastic and hyper, so does the 2-pointer, destroys the flow. It ain't broke, so don't fix it.
@@jjlax7 The best announcers for the sport, hands-down are: Q Kessenich, Anish, Chris Cotter and Joe Beninati. Though Beninati seems to fit well specifically with calling Maryland games, and the rest are universal. Carc is best for the warm-fuzzy stuff. I LOVE hearing games when Chris Cotter and Anish are there. Because there is genuine passion for the game in their voices, and you feel it.
@@TheFujiwuji Hey man we aren’t on the same page. I mean the loud goal horn and then some guy goes “Chrooome goal!” Or whatever. It’s over the loud speakers. Not a known person/announcer.
@@jjlax7 I haven't heard that, but the way you describe it, it sounds like $h!*. Only a non-lacrosse person would shout something that lame after a goal. Some PLL stuff like that is just bad management... who would hire an idiot to scream that after a goal? Could you imagine after a Detroit Red Wings goal the announcer screams "Red Wings Goal!" Instead they do the boat-horn, which is way better. Then I saw the Wokesters were at it last year pushing PLL Pride merch. Keep the politics out of sports, please.
Please St. Louis have one (whip snakes)…
Need one in the Bay Area
How about instead of just changing the names of some teams you add one more team or something
Not looking at Buffalo would be a huge miss, biggest NLL market by far come to the game this weekend and find out
It’ll be regional. The NY team will cover your region.
Between Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse you have a huge market with great players and a lot of history. The Rochester Rattlers always had a good draw when they were a thing. It sounds like they may just ignore cny/wny which would be a huge mistake.
@@andrewurban6108 I don’t think they ignore it. But there are only 8 teams. It’s not the New England region. It’s definitely it’s own region and the team is supposed to do outreach to its region. Sadly they may have to base it as NY to include CNY and WNY. But there are people calling for Maryland and Virginia to get their own teams. DMV is a region. There are 8 teams. The PLL isn’t leaving Texas or California out. Denver will have a team one day. There aren’t enough teams to cover everything. Buffalo has the bandits. The rattlers were good but the league died. They have to set up where they have a chance to impact larger markets.
@@michaeldail1642Buffalo would be awesone. Going to places that already have a large NLL fan base is a real smart choice. Having Lacrosse for 10 months of the year is an awesome prospect for sone teams.
Feed off the fans that Lacrosse already has.
Especially when the chaos is mostly our bandits players..... this city would show the hell up.
It’s too early for city based… not to mention, some team names will change. It’s hard to build a team brand if it changes in 5 years…
Michigan needs one
Denver needs one
pleese have the red woods lacrosse club in California
Hopefully one ends up in new york
Just have one team in the Midwest or minnesota
Please Pittsburgh
PHILLY DAWGS
I begging for Seattle
Gonna ruin it when your favorite team is representing some place across the country or another country
why would that make a difference?
Its not like the teams were playing in your backyard every week with the present model.
It will build a solid fan base that people can identify with.
I like Atlas, but that's only because of Trevor Baptiste. If there was a team in my hone city i would probably be a fan of them, whether Trevor Baptiste was on that team or not.

we need the philidelphia water dogs
archers in philly
Kentucky needs one pls pls pls pls pls pls
Lol not happening
It should have one. From living there I agree with u
COLUMBUS OHIO IS REEADY!!
Canada better get one and it better be chaos
Chaos mascot is a scorpion. That doesn’t scream Canada, sorry. If PLL does a Canadian team, it’s at the expense of another market or region. I’m trying to figure out who gets screwed out of a team for the US based league to give a team to Canada. Likely wait for expansion and give a Vancouver/Seattle team. And the NY team will cover all the way to Toronto.
@@michaeldail1642 it doesn’t matter if their logo is a scorpion it’s the amount of Canadian guys on that roster also who cares if one state or city gets screwed Canadas been getting screwed by this league since day one. There’s only been two game here and that was the first ever season
@@holtonmarshall1723 again. It’s an American company. Don’t be shocked when they prioritize American markets.
