Little hiccup: Superman can canonically “see faster” than even the speed of light in the comic books. It doesn’t make logical sense but hey neither does the “flash zone” and the fact that Wonder Woman is also fast enough to get there

I just thought of something that might throw a wrench into this theory. Superman gains his powers due to the effects of Earth's yellow sun, so its possible that his body is somehow able to absorb the energy from the fusion reactions he produces. Still I do appreciate the idea of applying real world science to superheroes as its interesting.

Superman would not violate any law of physics since he canonically has something called bioelectricity which extends nanometers away from his skin as a result of exposure to earth's yellow sun. Bioelectricity prevents him from gaining mass (E=Mc2) or fusing air molecules with his own. Moreover,-and correct me if i'm wrong- this is also how he bends space time to fly. Essentially, its just a lesser speedforce.
Edit: He does technically use his bioelectric aura to fly but a more refined classification would be graviton manipulation. Other uses include extending this aura to others in a certain radius. Thus resolving how he can fly at high speeds whilst carrying un-protected humans or objects without anihalating them.

Actually, It's confirmed that Superman bends space and time from his own perspective using his Bioelectric aura. Essentially, it's like a force field that he can use to control gravity within it, granting him the ability to fly and move fast like the flash without causing damage to the world around him (since it's protected by Superman's Bioelectric aura).
Also, Superman can see the flash because he can also move at lightspeeds, and Superman's brain works hundreds of times faster than an ordinary person's.

Magnetic field wouldnt help, since at those speeds you are already trumping the magnetic fields of the air particles to bypass Coulmb Barrier, so the particles wouldnt be able to be repeled by Superman's magnetic field anyway because there is too much force involved.

Film theory episode idea: The flash can run super fast, so fast that in the first episode of the show his shoes start burning meaning he can move so fast he can burn off his clothes. If this is the case then what is his suit made of that it doesn't burn up and can he cook something when he holds it? (maybe a whole chicken)Is the flash a danger to those he saves (even without the whiplash factor and wouldn't their clothes burn off as well considering they aren't made of his suits material?

I haven't seen the movie, but you showed that one frame of Supes racing Flash and I immediately went, "oh no, he doesn't have the Speedforce, if he keeps up with Flash he must be igniting the atmosphere..."
edit: Note that afaik, in some continuities Supes does have a magical field extending a millimeter away from his skin that can magic away this problem: tactile telekinesis, the same thing that gives him his resilience and lets him, for instance, hold up a plane without breaking it apart.

These things don't even affect Superman. He gets his speed from the same place as the Flash. If we treat the speed force as a lake, Flash pulls from the lake directly. Superman pulls from the small coming out of the lake. Superman draws on the excess energy leaking from the speed force into the multiverse, while Flash is going straight to the source. That's why He's faster he's being fed by the speed force while superman's powers feed on speed force table scraps.

Also, in "man of steel" , it is canon that superman's body has a protective energy field penetrating about a centimeter to an inch around his body and that he can control it at will. then again, he can fly into a star and survive... Perhaps the entire planet of krypton and other "super" species are speedsters. I believe it was referenced in the latest live action series about the flash that there was an entire race of speedsters out there who just run so fast that time can not keep up
Superman does not need access to the speed force altho, the speedforce in canon does govern, on some level, all movement in the multiverse. Thats why if the speed force collapsed it would destroy pretty much everything.
Superman in the comics raw durability/ invulnerability makes things like not effect him, in the movie (and this explanation has been used for various other versions of superman comics, movies, and animated) superman has a small field of energy that extends beyond just his person and whether consciously or not can control it to effect other things in his presence. Thats the idea behind him saving planes and such from the sky on occasion by grabbin the wings of the plane which would effectively just tear the wings off.
However.... and i mean this is deep stuff, if you look into superman at the deepest levels, he has some amount of fate manipulation because he is superman. That would be the real reason none of that stuff effects him at the highest levels. Its the whole idea of hope he represents made tangible by the stories he's in. and some writers have actually alluded to it. that because he kind of represents boundless hope, when in dire straights the concept/power of hope manipulates events so that he effectively saves the day or is a big part of saving the day.
The races are explained by both characters never truly going their top speed and everyone knows that the flash is ultimately faster than superman. As mat said in this video... the flash can go as fast as he needs to. what he doesnt say is the flash can go as fast as the plot requires or the writers say

Minor problem. Barry is travelling in a radius of about 20 feet, and superman is noticeably tracking him, which means Supes' eyes are within a couple degrees of barry. Which means the light has to travel 20 feet from Flash to superman's eyes BEFORE Barry goes more than a couple feet.
Barry is only going at about 1/10th the speed of light in that scene.

There's one catch to you comment and that is Barry's lightning so unlike the TV show movie Barry's lightning acts more like actual lightning striking everything around it but as we see the lightning is movie Super slow about as fast as he's moving put him at the very least lightning speed so yeah
@@FinalGreymon I see no evidence of Barry's lightning moving like actual lightning, or causing the kind of destruction that lightning would cause. In the comics, lightning is commonly associated with the Speed Force. I also see no evidence of barry actually outrunning the lightning.
Even then, lightning's max speed ever recorded was less than 1/3 the speed of light.

Bro, the speed force is a force so high, that no suit can get near it! The reason y super man is wearing that suit is because its protecting him and slightly the surondings. But in the moovies, Superman got nowere near the speeds at witch flash travels! In that speed, the suit would not be destroied cuz its undestructeble, but the suroundings would be doomed!!!
