Johnson County Sheriff's Department and the HSUS Animal Rescue Team worked together to rescue approximately 100 dogs, 5 cats and 2 guinea pigs. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

Professionally, sure there's an age limit, but there's no age limit to show love. You can save stray animals off the streets and give them a home where they can be fed, then help them heal and put them up for adoption :)
You don't have to be a certain age, you can start now, shelters all over our country welcome volunteers

Laurel Girard My mom runs a small guinea pig rescue. She gets attached and treats them Like humans. It’s hard to seperate, but seeing them thriving and bonding with the owner, and being so happy is worth it all she says. I’m hoping it’s the same for them
I've been on a cat shelter and got attached to a few of the cats. I was there when they came in with multiple cages of abandoned and/or rescued cats and kittens. I was opening the shelter one morning when I found a cage outside containing three cats inside.
Yes, it's hard to let go of the individuals you get close to, it's difficult to separate from the ones who got attached to you but no one else at the shelter - but it's even harder to keep coming back to the same cats each and every day. I cried every time a cat got a new home and had to move - cried tears of joy. I spent a little extra time with the cats that should move that day, to say goodbye to them and wish them a happy life in a (hopefully) forever-home. I met a lot of their new owners and the eyes when they had chosen That Cat, that's priceless. Same with the cats as well. It was so obvious when they met a potential new owner and they realized they were going away from the shelter. Many of them became more social just before they left.
It's hard to separate from the rescues that attach to you but it's even harder to leave them behind.
This is why I’ve started my own animal rescue! I just wish I was high enough to help animals in conditions like this.

I was a vet tech at the washington rescue league until last summer and was working there in 2009 when these precious dogs arrived. I adopted the black and white shih tzu with the cloudy eye. His name was Fundi. He passed away in August 2015. He enjoyed six years that were filled with love, affection and lots of treats! Every one of those dogs suffered from some medical condition; including problems with their sight, and respiratory problems. Fundi suffered from both and needed medication daily. Please don't support puppy mills. Ask businesses where their puppies come from and then verify the info before you adopt. And support your local shelters! Thanks everyone!

A family I know got their puppy from a puppy mill, sadly they didn't know what they were buying from until they got there. It was a huge, dark, dusty barn with even darker rooms in them to keep the dogs in. When they got there, the lady took them inside but only let them see two puppies that were kept in a small room with one window, they looked happy, but a little thin, and when they asked about that, the lady just blew it off saying it was normal for this breed, (golden doodle) to be small at birth. My friends asked to see the mom, and thats when their heart broke. The lady front what I bring her out, but when she did, the mom was thin, and obviously very, very afraid, her eyes were glazed over and looked shocked, like she hadn't seen sunlight in a long time. It was horrendous. But they knew they had to do something, so while the lady took the shaky mom back into her dark room, they took some photos of the area around them, and of the mom while she was walking away. They quickly bought their puppy, and left as soon as they could. They instantly called the police and the humane society, telling them the address and what they saw, offering to give them the proof they had. The puppies the bought threw up what looked like like beef stew in the car, my friends assumed that the people fed the puppies fatty stuff to try and make them look good before being bought. Luckily, the police and the HS where able to go there and take the place down, and now Lola, their puppy, is doing very well, she is happy with her big yard, loving family and healthy life style❤

Blazing_Warrior_Cat0606 - thats true, but if those people would’ve never gone to that breeder, the pups wouldn’t have been saved. i got my dogs from breeders because the shelters within 3 hours of us were all no kill shelters and none of my family connected with any of the dogs. but in the future i will adopt, especially if the dogs are in danger.

About 4 months ago I adopted a min pin taken by the city from a hoarder/ puppy mill situation... took a lot of courage to watch this video to understand where she came from. My heart breaks for her. She’s 10 years old and I’m the only human she’s ever had. She screams like she’s dying when I leave and I feel bad because she doesn’t know how to cope. So I enrolled her in a doggy day care where she can be watched and cared for when I leave. She’s doing great now and has adjusted to life quite well and really enjoys going to see her doggy friends.

The one little dog who just laid in the back of his/her cage when the guy went to get her out especially broke my heart. I so wish I could hug that little dog so tight and let her know it’s going to be okay 😔❤️ I’m so grateful for these people who do this for these animals, I hope that someday I can be like them, maybe even work for the humane society. ❤️

Kenneth Bartlett Most are just being bred for pups and spending they're entire lives in the cages. The pups are bathed just before being sold. I would buy pups in this condition any day if it meant saving them from that torture.
Most of the time the dogs r bred for their pups and then the pups get sold. Then the dogs that dont get sold are bred again and put in this condition. If they cant breed anymore, they kill them for meat

Bird Life They don't typically get killed for their meat in the United States. Once they can no longer reproduce they are usually killed and then just thrown into the garbage bin/burn barrel. It's disgusting. I find puppy mills to be one of the most appalling things in all of the universe.
They should be forced to pay for all of those dogs medical care i think if they don't pay the government should give them a job like work project till fined pays

The beautiful thing about this video is that even after coming from the most awful, horrific places, these dogs were so friendly. Even after all they've been through, the are still so trusting and loving. It's amazing to see these dogs saved from the horrors of abuse and neglect, I swear that once I have my own place, I'll be adopting rescue dogs. All animals deserve a second chance ❤️

I just got a long haired doxie from a puppy mill. He had to have 22 teeth pulled. He was a matted mess. According to the vet he i s about 3-4 yrs old. He was very with drawn at first. But with alot of love and patience he has come around. He is a very loving Lil guy. He is still leary of strangers. And when I have company he hides under the bed and barks. I put him in his doggie bed with dental bones and just keep the door closed. He is never caged as I am sure he's been cage most of his little life. These dog's need alot of love and patience. My Lil boy is coming around . He loves kisses and loves going for car rides. I pray to God that they close these places down. These poor animals live in such deplorable condition's. I thank God for my baby boy. I couldn't ask for a better dog. Anyone who adopts these dog's , My advice to you is to give him alot of love and patience. They do come around. They love to be out side as being caged for most of their life, they need to run and build those little muscle s up. My little guy loves out side.He'sgot big yard to run in. He has become one happy and healthy Lil guy. I have had people ask me why adopt from a puppy mill when there are so many dog's in shelters that need home's. I want them to see what horrible conditions these animal's are living in. Maybe they will understand.

This. This is exactly why my family owns rescue pets and only rescued pets.
We think it's better to give an animal a home they need, rather than just buying them from a breeder(no matter the reputation of said breeder).

Well Luner cat there are responsible breeders & there are irresponsible breeders.There are good rescue kennels & bad.
If all breeders were responsible there would be no need for you as they would never allow their pups to end up in a rescue kennels.It takes a certain type to take on an adult rescue dog as they very often come with their own problems & not everyone can cope with this.That is why they choose an 8 week old puppy.So don't knock the responsible breeders because you have kennels full of dogs needing a good home & ido hope you are a no kill establishment.
@@joanfoxholes8962 I know this, but I still feel the need to take animals (not just dogs, mind you) and give them a loving home.
Often times we take home older animals or very young ones. I understand that there are responsible and good breeders out there, but I find it better to take home animals that otherwise wouldn't have a home.
As for the no killing establishment part, my family and our pets are not an establishment, and I'm not sure what else you could've meant.
We only euthanize our animals as a last resort, and only when they have some sort of disease that cannot be healed or if they're in great pain.
Take Mater, an older mutt I had a few years back, for example. He lived a good life when we took care of him, he went on plenty of walks, had a steady supply of food and could eat whenever he wanted, he had contact to other dogs in the area, he was kept in a clean/safe/loving environment, etc.
We had to put him down when the inner lining of his stomach and some other intestines (mostly the stomach though) had gotten torn and he started internally bleed. Our family was heartbroken at the news of course, but we weren't going to keep him around if it pained him so much.
The problem was only going to get worse as time went on, so we decided to put him down before it got worse.
We took him to the vet, and that was the end of Mater.
I'm sure you didn't mean to, but your comment sounds genuinely spiteful because we adopt animals instead of getting them from breeders.
It also sounds like you misinterpreted my family to be a kennel of sorts. We are not.

Check modern farms. :( The conditions in which farm animals are kept are horrible. We can end the suffering of all animals and save or environment. Everyone can save at least one life a day - go vegan. :)

This is terrible! I bet all of those dogs haven't seen or touched grass and sunlight. My neighbors own a sweet little mutt from a terrible place like this and it is still scared of being touched, even after my neighbors have owned it for 2 years. This kind of experience really scars them! Adopt, don't shop.

6.08 was the tipping point for me. I have a King Charles Cav who was rescued from a puppy farm. The veterinarian team were going to euthanise her as she was epileptic from all the inbreeding but I asked if I could take her home to try (I was volunteering with the aftercare as there were about 50 dogs and puppies to look after). That was 8 years ago and even though she still has fits she is a very happy girl and definitely chose me. These farms HAVE to be outlawed as they are absolutely sick.

Stop commenting, "humans did this, humans did that." The people who are undertaking these amazing rescues and giving these animals hope are also human. And while those who abused these animals are horrible people, the ones who rescued them are heaven-sent and the fact that they do what they do should be enough to keep you from "losing your faith in humanity."

The point is to be one of those humans that change the lives of others whether they be puppy mill dogs, stray cats, or what have you. The handful of good people should be enough to keep your faith in humanity and inspire you to become a person who is kind at heart.

ANYONE caught hoarding and abusing animals like this should be locked up for the rest of their miserable lives 24/7. There is absolutely NO excuse for such a transgression against indefensible creatures.

This is truly heartbreaking 💔. I am so glad that instead of buying another dog when the last two of my Boston Terriers passed away in 2020, I adopted a WONDERFUL Chihuahua/Jackhuahua from a rescue organization. He came to us in NY as a stray from GA. Linus became a loving and truly deserving addition to our family Easter Sunday 2021. It is so rewarding to adopt a rescue and give him/her a second chance at a new and better life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Save and rehome the ones that can be saved. Some animals are too far gone, and need a painless end to their suffering. These mills need to be raided and shut down, nationwide. Keeping animals like this is a total disgrace. and these operators should have their property taken from them, bank accounts seized, and serve 10 years minimum for this outrage. (Jan Griffiths).
