This great video does indeed do justice to the founder of the Odeon chain of cinemas. Leading in to become the best chain ever in the thirties when huge super cinemas was indeed in fashion unlike now. Lovely old images here if once was every man's dream to go to see their favourite films . My own family would have indeed enjoyed this video so a huge thanks for posting it .

Most Odeon cinemas are out of town steel sheds like B&Q or supermarkets with paper strength Partition walls all painted black inside black suspended ceilings with fake feel of a cinema with Micky mouse joke (digital projectors). No character or soul. Zero style and built to be scrapped quickly Like modern cars. Cheap rubbish and mostly plastic. I'm so glad I'm 50+ seen films in old style art deco with ushers selling ice cream etc during intervals or you could go to concession stand. I've since boycotted Odeon! Leaves me with what 120 mile drive to Everyman in Muswell Hill or finding independent cinemas in East Midlands. Even seats at Showcase De Lux in Leicester are crap! I could make more character in a garage!
