My dear I am about to start my grad school at Nova Southeastern University here too in FL you tell more information of any advisor I spoke with. Quick question to you: how many hours as an intern RMHCI I need by the FL state law? And how many hours I need of supervision?
Question: I graduated in 2019. I have just completed my 3000 hours and am rounding up my supervisors to sign my hours and application. I am studying (I got the Dr. Arthur overview. Thank you. Although I had AATBS study material, I feel it's worth it to study both.) I am confused. Are you able to take the NCMHCE right out of the grad program? Does Florida not have the 3000-hour requirement? I am in California.
@@kdcounseling Hi. Thanks for responding. AATBS is Association for Advanced Training in the Behavioral Sciences. Just another company that provides continuing education and licensing education for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, and psychologist. I used them initially to prepare for my law & ethics exam and CE course required by California Board of Behavioral Sciences new requirements. They serve the U. S. and Canada.
@@kdcounseling I am not really familiar with Florida requirements. From what I gather, the licensure is LMHC and RMHC interns. Is that correct? If so, RMHCi equates to APCC (associate professional clinical counselor) which I am registered as now. Which I became immediately after graduation. No test was required, just the degree and registration. We cannot take the NCMHCE until we accrue the 3000 supervised hours. So, to become an LMHC in Florida, what else is needed after graduation (e.g., hours, licensing exam)?
@@sereneamani1713 So yes in Florida it’s the same with registering to be a registered mental health counseling intern. You have to graduate and get a licensed supervisor. You can take the test even without being a registered intern, or without getting 3000 hours. There is no wait here. I could do it the day I’m conferred. Without having a supervisor and applying through the state. I heard different states do it like that.

Yep we can take it as soon as we get our diploma conferred. Not sure what the AATBS is that what you take ?
