Thanks for the update!! I start school on Thursday, and even though I’m two years away from graduating, all of your info is SO helpful. 🙏🏻 And I’m happy for you that you’re finding your groove in your practice. So awesome.
@@our.secret1130 Your own or at a private practice where they provide people? I think this is the thing with us counselors we can’t to know all the things before we have a chance to experience them. I am done with year 1 of being a registered intern and I’ve learned so much. Show up , do your hours, learn, see what type of clients you like working with and go in that direction.
@@kdcounseling hi, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. This helped assuage my fears a lot. I’ve wanted to walk down this path for a long time but different types of fears have held me back. Have you enjoyed being an associate? Do you have 1-2 years left before full licensing? I’ve watched so many of your videos and really appreciate you:)
Can you also talk about the fact that somenplaces you have to pay for supervision? I think its important for people to know and how to navigate through the business side of our field.
@@kdcounseling appreciate it! Yet to find out but there’s a recovery center that also does counseling righttt down the road so I’m really hoping for that.🤞
Hi! Love your videos! I'm thinking of moving from GA to FL to do my practicum and internship. Does registering as a RMHCI happen AFTER I finish my practicum/internship hours in my current program? Thx!!
Hi, Katie. You are exactly 1 year ahead of me and I have been following you since I started as part of my professional development plan. You mentioned warching different podcasts while in school that helped you prepare. I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on the best professional development resources that you used or wished you would have used during school that was usuful during your intern or current work. Actually, any preperatory info would be great!! Thanks and keep posting your videos!!
Hi! I watched a lot of The Humberman lab podcast, specifically the ones on different disorders it’s a great resource. Doc Snipes on UA-cam is a great resource, and other creators that are specialist on whatever you’re seeking out.
@@kdcounseling thanks! I am in the middle of watching your practicum videos rn! Excellent info, you have been such a life saver for me honestly, by watching your videos I have reduced my anticipation anxiety! Thanks again.
Does Florida require you to take the ncmhce for licensure? I'm in North Carolina and they only require you to take one test of your choice from NCE, CPC, or NCMHCE
