It is a big challenge to maintain this alongside everything else, it's something for people to progressively work towards as they get more experienced.
Stagger uptime seems like it might benefit somewhat from a double-frost set-up using Trifocus so magicka becomes your block resource. Under the revised CP system, is it still really risky to be blocking big hits on frost staff, or is there enough mitigation available to use either double frost or sword & board without much difference? It'd be cool to see if you could maintain a lot of buff/debuff uptimes at once. E.g., Yolnahkriin + Martial Knowledge, plus Engulfing Flames, plus Stagger, plus Minor Brittle, with perhaps, a High Elf DK (for the extra spell damage, sustain, and damage reduction during Stone Giant casts). It seems like a lot, but maybe if you kept your stamina regen high and were methodical about the Stone Giant casts and light attacks for Martial Knowledge, you could do it. I probably couldn't do it, but I bet you could do it, @The Tank Club . 😅
That sounds absolutely awful haha. The trick really is to follow up Stone Giant casts with an Igneous or a Heavy if you can and sustain isn't much of an issue. I only typically block when I am getting hit by a heavy or a mechanic so I don't have much Stamina drain from Blocking which leaves more Stamina available for Stone Giant. MK with Stone Giant while also trying to Tank would be a real challenge
Question, (maybe ill just have to test it for myself), inital cast of stone giant cant be clock cast, but the upkeep orbs can they be block cast? or like the inital are then all unblock castable?
Tried this but i could only do 60-70% uptime is that good enough tho? Or should i just slot defensive skill. In heavy mech situation, its really hard to maintain stagger.
It's an extremely hard cooldown to maintain especially when in mechanical fights. 60-70% is actually pretty good, especially if you are quite new to doing it.
thank you very much for the amazing vid but I would like to ask: only the first stone giant hit drops shield and while I do have 3 stacks and recast it to support them I do not loose shield? meanwhile if I loose stacks and have to do the first hit again - the first one drops my shield... correct?
I would focus on sustain/self healing if you are not maintaining Stagger so using something like Cinder Storm in it's place generally for some Heals over Time maybe.
what are you using to see the stacks and countdown on em? I've got a few addons that show things similar but they don't count the stacks or show the countdown
I can't handle it in harder content drains my stam the fucking he takes block aways why only 5 seconds it feels like a spamable which dks never had this shit xD wouldn't make me feel like a bad tank
Yes, this is the major downfall with this skill. It requires so much effort and casting that it can quickly drop off and anytime you are in an intense blocking situation its hard to maintain it.
Not a fan of this ability.. Sometimes squeezing the extra 1% in may not always be worth it to complicate everything else.. This might be an example of that.
I think it looks awsome. Throwing a massive rock at someone. I like it when someone is running away and your like " O no you dont ! Throw rock at em " lol got em lol
I truly think it should be the StamDK to keep this up and not the DK tank.
Thanks for this in regards to stagger. Challenge for tanks is to keep all buffs/debuffs up all the time... While reacting to everything going on.

great content as always homie

Thank you very helpful
gr8 help !
would it be more beneficial to run molten weapons? this is a very tricky debuff to keep active at all times.
Yo this is very helpful!

correct?
So every time your character stomps their foot on the ground to create the 3 orbs, your block will be dropped.
hi, nice vid,if im not an experienced with maintain stagger, what another good skill you recommend to use it as spammable , ty

@@TheTankClub ok ty vm
Why does nobody use Stone Fist or the morphs in PvP?
So strong with orb ticks
what are you using to see the stacks and countdown on em? I've got a few addons that show things similar but they don't count the stacks or show the countdown
I just use the built in ingame buff tracker
@@TheTankClub interesting. mine doesn't show it

Why not have a stamina dk use it
Because then you have a stam dk in your group.
Not a fan of this ability.. Sometimes squeezing the extra 1% in may not always be worth it to complicate everything else.. This might be an example of that.
Maybe I use Stone Giant again. Because it's the most ugly ability I've ever seen, that's why I cutted it from StamDK + TankDK.
I think it looks awsome. Throwing a massive rock at someone. I like it when someone is running away and your like " O no you dont ! Throw rock at em " lol got em lol
Just bring a Stam dps or not bring it lol its not a must have its just nice, Tanks job is to hold hatesupporting the groups DPS is icing on the cake.
Stone giant is a skill that only really works in trials 👎
