    Thank you for the video. I recently bought this carb, but the carb did not come with the advertised stock jets installed. According to their print out, there should have been a 105 main jet installed, but instead there was a 108 installed with no 105 not even as an extra. pilot was 40. Can you tell me what size main jet you are running in the video? Thank you again.

    Did you have to cut anything to get the carb to mount and fit under the frame? Didn’t you have to cut the last Nibbi carb you put on in a previous video?

    When buying this carb, do you recommend any rubber gaskets that some of the knock off Mikuni‘s come with or any extra jets to get this tuned in easier?

    For th life of me I can not get my Nibbi 26mm jetted right on my YCF Pilot 150... my bike came stock with air box an a Nibbi 19mm which is too small for a 150cc engine an not allowing for full potential power... that's why I purchased a 26mm Nibbi.. been fighting this carb for over a month now.. just wish I could get it tuned right so I can ride.. because im.at hw end of my rope an pretty much have no other choice but o put the 19mm back on the bike..

      @tommyguidry885 2 роки тому

      @@throttlefamily4655 yes i have, watched quite a few times incase I may have missed something.. I have been all the way up to a 55 pilot an all the way down to at 32 pilot, an I still have the bog off idle.. now I have gotten it tuned to where it's running good an bike pulled hard with a very slight sputter if I let off the throttle for a second or 2 an back to full throttle.. plug an my exhaust melting my rear fender an number plate some.. that was with a 48 pilot 105 main, needle up 1 postion an 2 turns out from factory setting.. I have no air leak by airbox rubber boot, carb intake or on exhaust side.. I checked the float, an it's in correct postion.. And as far as the airbox being the issue instead of pod filter, seen a few other guys running Nibbi 24mm an 26mm with no problems..
      P.S. I'm located in South East Louisiana at 6 ft below seas level an humidity is always high down here if that matters any.. those guy or located upper states..

    I was curious if you had any input on these ssr’s vs the piranha bikes? I know the latter are better equipped and have the price premium for that. Given suspension and upgrades for an adult to the ssr. TIA!

    • @throttlefamily4655
      @throttlefamily4655  2 роки тому +1

      I really like the piranha pit bikes but for the price you can get a ssr for it’s hard to compare them I spent about $120 and completely swapped my rear shock and put spacers in my front forks if I was hitting big jumps I would need to swap out the front but the jumps I hit right it handles fine. I will say maybe one day I’ll do the front fork upgrade

    Gd video. I've got an early ssr 125. Pd 100.00 for it a few months ago. Picked away at needed repairs and runs decent thanks in part to you.
    I like the idea of 24mm over 26mm carb. So Thank you and the Lil fella for doing the R&D.

      @@throttlefamily4655 thanks for the reply man! So I’m still missing my air filter, and I still get bog when I pull throttle fast, I already changed out the 40 to a 35 jet and put needle on second from bottom, seems to not bog as bad when fuel screw is set to about 1 1/2 out and idle screw is set somewhat high, but I feel like my idle is a bit high. Any thought? Can make the missing air filter cause that? I have bo bike knowledge this is my first carb pit bike , and it’s a semi auto for my wife which I need to bleed the brakes cuz if I put her in gear she’ll take off and pop a wheelie , TIA
