One day I was riding near a pond with a single big tree next to it. Went to get a closer look and came across two ladies under the tree. Closer yet I started to hear there conversation and it turned out to be a 60yr old explaining to an 80yr old how to play. They were having a blast. I will never forget it.
My husband and I are 70 and still enjoy playing. This was the first game we have ever played and started 3 years ago. The only game we have stuck with. Enjoy our daily challenges.
I accidentally ran head first into another player today, totally my fault. Both of us and our horses fell. His died, I revived his horse for him and we went our separate ways. I thought that was so cool.
I NEVER get near a trader wagon in route. Best way to get attacked. The way Rockstar had the game set up before if you took a trader wagon and delivered it, you would get the money. Nowadays you don't you just get materials added to you Butcher table. It's really not even worth the time or effort anymore. That being said, my crew isn't a griefer crew. We are friendly and help others. There have been several occasions where others attacked us, and we fought them off, but they stayed in the session. So if they run a wagon, we would take it to prevent the sale. Why? Well, it's payback. Generally speaking if people are trying to attack a trader wagon we have helped to fight them off, but most of the time the people running the wagon think we want to steal it too and we get shot at. So we just stay clear.
I wound up helping a newbie last week when he brought his small cart into the station at Valentine. I'd been collecting the free outfit at the General Store and when I was done, heard gun fighting while heading to the station to fast travel to Lagras to stock up on big game meat. Decided to snipe the attacking NPCs from behind, then tipped my hat to him and left so he could loot all of the bodies.
Yeah, I tried to help someone today when we came face to face on a road both doing deliveries, and they shot me out of existence. Helped another guy later and he shot at me but missed, so I helped a little more and felt nice and satisfied with myself and went back to camp to pet my imaginary dog 😆
Im that type of player who used to be loyal to the game and play everyday I got to level 700 plus I'm almost level 800 and then stopped playing due to lack of content and boredom I logged into do dailies
I started playing GTA online at level 400. There is so much content and new content coming out all the time for GTA. I rarely turn on RDO anymore. 5k hours online, 4k hours in story mode. Abandoned....
I am an Anti-Greifer, Fair & Square PVPer and a John Marston kinda player. I built a crew on pc and have surrounded myself with the most healthy community. I take short hiatuses here and there, but I ALWAYS come back. I am always down to steal some wagons and do free roam events/shootout series even if the matchmaking times are obscene. I love red dead very much, I wish the modders and the lack of updates weren't so prevalent.
I posted it on the last video and I will post it again here. Player type "babysitter". They intentionally seek out low level players to join their posse, then complete high level missions such as trader/moonshine delivery and legendary bounties to help the new player get some early money/gold and see the more fun missions in the game. I often do this purely because I enjoy observing the how the new players decide to play the game, I usually let them take the lead in the missions and act more like their bodyguard.
The hard part is getting low levels to believe I'm not trying to scam them or something. Just sit on the cart. We will do a delivery. You get paid. I will invite the 5 lowest players in the lobby but only one will accept. I find the msg "delivery" helps but even then most are skeptical. like you aren't trying to trick me? lol.
I wouldnt say this game is empty. There is a lot of things to do. I am level 130 and i will never stop playing it. When im not playing, i also enjoy to watch others play, like watching your daily youtube posts. Its fun. This game will never die, even though it seems dead.
I thought I'd play it daily for the foreseeable future. Around rank 280 or so, burnout finally caught up. The terrible monthly events recently put it on pause for me.
I'm so glad you're still making RDO content. I haven't played the game in way too long because I was so upset that it was canceled (or put on hold), but it's still one of my fav. games ever. Whether they return to it after GTA VI or not, I'm 100% returning more actively some day.
Amazing video, and I loved how you tied it to the main characters from story mode! I'm easily Charles (just vibing), John Marston (I LOVE this game, but don't play that actively), and a tiny bit of Sadie.
I started to play rdr 2 this year on PC, cause I did not have proper graphic card before to play it and I liked the graphic, style and nature in open world. I was even not very skilled with steam so I kind of jump over the single player story right into online and after 1-2 days of playing as low level I was started be harassed by ppl using some king of hacks in game the way they were blowing me to the sky after few minutes in new session in freeroam. So I decided to do some counter measures, discovered that there is also single story game :-) ... which I am still in second chapter, discovered your channel which was very helpful. Now I am playing mainly in solo session online as collector but for events going to multiplayer and feel now much more safe on multiplayer server session than in time I started to play on PC ( May this year) ... but still from time to time I cross some server where players are using some kind of cheats teleporting behind you etc. ... probably because of boredom or so. Respect to all the players who enjoy the game and play it without cheating and many thanks to streamers like you who propagate clean style of game play.
I am the type of player that never wants to fight other players. PVP in this game is so umbalanced with all those explosive ammo and PiB (and cheaters) that I find it hard to have fun with it, I get frustrated really quick. But I really enjoy playing coop, joining a posse and doing some missions together or just going solo relaxing and doing my own thing like Charles.
I am Arthur Morgan. 😎 I griefed people only if they messed with my possy. I committed crimes with other players only when necessary. I sometimes help griefers and sometimes help those who are getting griefed. I had no moral compass.
Herby, of course you're a mix... You need to be, since you're in charge of all your different wonderful characters! 🤩😄 PVP Cat, Thanks for your great contribution with your content, to the lovely RDO community! 🙏😻
I'm definitely a John type. I take breaks from RDO quite often, and sometimes for quite a while - such as at the moment, where I haven't played for a good few months - but I keep coming back. There really isn't anything else like it, and the itch will always need scratching. There's also quite a bit of Kieran and Charles in me. Except I don't try to get revenge if someone kills my horse (that's what griefers want) and I don't usually help other traders any more (because they mostly just shoot you if you try, assuming you're waiting for the right moment to grief.)
I'm 100% Leopald, with a lot of Charles thrown in... I love the daily grind, but I will always just stop to appreciate the world ❤ Kieran & Sadie to a lesser extent, only because I'm not a strong player. I'll help where I can though 😂❤
I still watch your videos and was even tempted to log in and see if I could fall back in recently. I just got so disappointed that we never got an undead nightmare. I'm not talking just zombies, either. I'm talking a full on horror taking advantage of all the in game lore that's already there. Vampires in Saint Denis, Sasquatch in the hills (not the berry eating kind but the baby eating kind,) haunted houses and graveyards, cannibals in the swamps and mountains just need an upgrade as they're already pretty freaky. That kinda thing. They could even use the aliens. It could have been so awesome. It could have even used the mexico map.
And swimming out and yanking someone out of their boat so you can do laps with it. I tried to bequeath my new boat to a random player but apparently they didn't see the daily. 😅
@potatopirate5557 I tried to do a boat theft mission for that daily but Anthony Foreman didn't offer it and I just shut down. Next time I'll try your way. 🤠👍
I see my self as Charles and John. Always comming back because I can never fully leave it behind. I do play it solo most of the time, just hunting for trader role. And when I want the company I used to posse up feature, and 9 out of 10 times end up with just helping with bounty hunting.
I'm not sure which I am. My daughter gave me the game at the start of COVID so I wouldn't go stir crazy during quarantine and I've just kept at it every day since, as a stress reliever. Through absolutely no fault of my own I'm almost Lv 600 now despite never joining a posse, never doing a PVP, etc. Just riding around. I live in fear of griefers though, since even low levels seem to have more than enough fighting experience to kill me with impunity. I do wish I had friends sometimes, to see what the social aspect of the game is all about.
hey that's me! i'm the uncle player, although mostly just the first part, 3 characters, 6 years (a lot of breaks) and a top level of 42. similar to gta, I don't know what to do and I don't like to grind (although I do like the cars in gta so that's a goal to get some nice cars and drive around slowly running afk people over)
I guess I'm more like Arthur Morgan type of player, without the TB, still going strong, but still left to my own misery, watching more and more players leaving for good like my gang members being taken out.
Whenever I have a wagon ready for delivery, I create a temporarily posse and invite all players in the session under level 50 to join me before I deliver it so they get a cash boost. I don't get on mic or anything. I just try to deliver it as fast as possible so they get the money without having to do much of anything.
It's a Masterpiece of a Game. Love it so much.... but after three Years of Pain and nothing... I left this Game behind.....😞Shame on you Rock*.... I loved the World... after work .. an hour or two releax in this SOOOOOOOO Beautful world... and Rock* fucked it up....now its too late. SirTarabas... A Player who play the Game since Day 1 for over 3 Years...
players in general is rare as fuck. i started playin recently and ive heard valentine is a hell hole and crowded and only one time when i went did i find someone he was actually chill asf too
I see myself as a Roleplayer. I have Stories, build everything around my Charas for years... And now I'm there with 3 High Levels (432, 402, 275) and nothing really to do anymore.
Me and all of my crew are a mixture of Charles, Sadie, and John cause while we’re a calm group, if someones briefing then we will stop them, and we all take month long breaks if not longer
My favorite player archetype are the hunter/fishers who only play the game to either hunt or fish, from their outfits to the types of weapons or no weapons they use they're the exact type of player to go to to you, stow a pelt or giant fish on your horse before prompty leaving to do it again
I'm currently playing Red Dead online, I'm level 101, I have 250 hours in the game overall. If I say I played the story for 50 hours, I have 200 hours online. I go in and play every once in a while. Remember, if you like the theme of the game and the game itself, you will continue to play that game even if it was released in 2001. I will probably enter less from now on, but I will continue to enter. Rockstar Games' biggest mistake is not keeping the Red Dead Online mode alive and leaving it to cheaters. But there is a bonus for roles even once a month. this is a + :D
Definitely a Charles/Sadie/Marston type with how I play; I like my solitude, but I'm happy to play minuteman if theres a player in need. And I'm a sucker for westerns. Also... can we please get more missions to conclude the LeClerk plotline?!?
Charles Smith and I admire the Sadie Adler's. But after over 500 hours I've never seen a Sadie Adler and unlike Arthur Morgan, I've given up hope of ever meeting her.
Charles and Sadie, also Landon. I do have John periods, but only when R* puts out terrible monthly events repeatedly. Like the last, and the current one lol.
I'm a modified Strauss. I only play grind two weeks out of four, when the daily mission bonuses are at .2 or .25. The other two weeks, I only do the missions that are quick and easy.
I just started playing a couple of days ago. Having a lot of fun with it despite some of the limitations. It's easy to see RDO had a lot of potential but I can also understand why someone could put in 100+ hours into the game. Even if you take out the group stuff, there's still A LOT of stuff to do.
I got really bored with my Lv.300+ dude character and bought a second copy of the game so I can restart RDO as a female character from scratch without buying any gold. I actually really enjoy the game this way, just past Lv.35 with Bounty Hunter Lv.6 and Trader Lv.7 so far. I am not doing any collection this time (I collected the hell out of those card sets last time because I couldn’t shoot. Now I can handle weapons in PvE so that’s all I am doing this time). My routine now are trade route, daily, a couple of bounties, blood money (really trying to do stealth missions on Dock-3 and Cornwall-3), then a CTA if there is time (camping on top of the Valentine stables to farm EP 😅). Really wish RS will put in match-making for CTA’s the same way story mission / series matchmakings. I love playing CTA’s, what a rush! It’s a beautiful game and really hope RS can put more resources into it.
Definitely a Landon/John player here, much as I don’t like fighting sometimes I roll with it and fight fairly alongside getting some unfinished business done or just simply bc most of my other games aren’t fun. It’s just rdo that gets me. Sure it has its flaws like cheating booting and exploiting people like a few certain crews (I’ll keep the names anonymous but if you know what I mean you know) but there’s moments that just make me happy knowing I can have fun playing a fair fight, or just doing stuff and hanging out. (P.S I managed to best a SYN member in a fair fight, they threatened me afterwards and kicked me out of their party)
The Sadie one reminded me of a story. I am like John I come and go. But I came back after 2 months gone and what do I find when I come back? A griffer with a mod menu but no god mode. The silly goose. So I promptly make him pay for it and running my mouth the whole time for some extra psychological warfare. He was flying around and Id scream “Pull!” And blast him out of the sky and he’s just screaming at me to shut up. Whole time I’m thinking “I still got it.”
I’d say I’m an anti griefer as well as the one who mostly just hangs out. My favourite activity is gathering a group to repeatedly kill whoever is disturbing the peace in the lobby so we can return to living peacefully. My personal favourite griefers to chase out are the ones who use mods because it’s a test of endurance rather than skill. A majority of the time I have more endurance, especially if I have a group with me.
I guess that makes me Charly John, who likes horses. You Cat are a Kindred spirit that loves interactive art. How can one get tired of interacting with a masterpiece. Thanks from Delawhere?, USA;)
My head cannon has Cripps making novelty mariachi frogs with all of the parts that I bring him; but they're the finest, most valuable novelty mariachi frogs in the world, which is why I constantly get attacked during deliveries. Everybody wants them! Cripps' Novelty Mariachi Frogs adorn the great palaces of Europe!! 😁
Logged on the other day cause my friends and I had an itch. We played for over a hundred hours our first time creating a posse. All the roles, shine shack etc, it was great. We wanted to log in just to play some poker, hunt, and just immerse ourselves in the beautiful world. There were no animals on the map. We tried server hopping multiple times and kept ending up with 0 animals. That killed it for us. We wanted to camp and hunt etc. it reminded us why we left, it’s the most beautiful game world ever made and it’s a complete after thought to rockstar.
Killing someone’s horse is such a dick move. I always keep horse reviver on me and share it liberally. I will revive the horse of someone I’ve just been in a fight with if I or someone else hit it.
Amazing you found some extra 'camp-member player types' after the 1st video (where I hinted Charles in the comments). Especially Strauss and Uncle had me LOL :)
Im In-betweening Charles and John. This game has so much potential. I was here for the being of online and it rubbed me the wrong way. I pick it up again when they added bounties and after a while hit 180. Now im just watch people nip at each other like hungry dogs in Valentine. Its a strange feeling what rs did to this game.
I have three goals in this game: reach rank 1000, have a million dollars, and own every item in the catalogue. So far am rank 914, got over 800k in the bank, and I'm missing some exclusive items.
Literally the 1st one. When I get on I just enjoy minding my own business and hunting. Sometimes naturalist gathering and treasure hunting. No real goals just playing/chilling.
Charles (being in the wild, hunting, attacking nobody), Uncle (doing nothing and random fun things), Sadie (i like killing griefers), Karen (chilling with friends and do random shit for fun), john marston (I didn't play it for a year)
I am a Charles Smith and John Marston player type. Although I learned to love horses because of this game. While I AFK in BDO fishing or riding my horse there too.
You forgot about 'em Player Bownee hunters. That's where I fit it. Brought in 874 players so far. And these are just the ones counted by the statistics 🙂
I'm still playing this game actually I play it even more now that's there's less players to blow me up when I'm trying to run my business. I wish Rockstar devs would have made invite only lobbies from the start and give RDR online the same amount of love they gave to GTA online. Rockstar neglected RDR2 😢
I guess I'm a 'Leopold' player. Daily challenges were what attracted me to RDO initially , since gold was supposed to be the way to get the most interesting content.....until it never happened. My eventual goal was 5000 gold, which I achieved at the end of June and then I finished up the 28 day challenge streak with 5038. And that was that, I have no real reason to play any more. I'm sure I'll miss it and play again from time to time, but unless they finally add something new and worthwhile I'm done. It's sad that such potential was thrown away, and not even for a real reason, si I'm done with greedstar and any dev owned by T2.
If you are a rdo player in 2024 you can already consider yourself as a rare type
Fr
Big rel. Lol. 😁
Can’t really argue against that 😂
Not really a lot of players are starting to play the game..
@@Original_TM7 Got 900 hrs on red dead, I know what it is when pvp session loads about 30 mins

I was Strauss but now I'm Marston. I only log in once a month to pet my dog, get the free outfit and hear about Limpy Pete.
Him and Phil the Crab got a rotten deal.
I left the game when i was level 100, at least 2 years without it. I've return of course and now I'm level 500. I just LOVE this game😢
We have a John Marston here. Living and leaving the cowboy life 😂
Same, guess I’m the Charles & John Marston player type
I’m Sadie and Keiran Duffy
Same here! this game is unique !
How's that happen 😂
Im Sadie Adler. I hate griefers and I help low levels to get money. I’m level 340 and I still love this game. It’s amazing
I accidentally ran head first into another player today, totally my fault. Both of us and our horses fell. His died, I revived his horse for him and we went our separate ways. I thought that was so cool.
The Red Dead player base that's left (on console at least) are often far more decent than the atmosphere in GTA Online.
I'm mostly Leopold Strauss, I like to complete dailies. Sometimes I enter Uncle mode and just ride around and enjoy nature. I love environment in RDO.
I'm the kind of player that is waiting for a discount on beans to return
We all do!
That's Pearson type.
I'm a Charles player but hurt my horse and I'll turn into a Kieran real quick.

hey that's me! i'm the uncle player, although mostly just the first part, 3 characters, 6 years (a lot of breaks) and a top level of 42. similar to gta, I don't know what to do and I don't like to grind (although I do like the cars in gta so that's a goal to get some nice cars and drive around slowly running afk people over)
I guess I'm more like Arthur Morgan type of player, without the TB, still going strong, but still left to my own misery, watching more and more players leaving for good like my gang members being taken out.
I just enjoy this game gorgeous graphics.
I was a Charles for the longest time. Now I’m a Strauss/Marston mix. Trying to become a bit of a Ricketts too.
Love the gavin bit lol. I guess I'm most like Charles. Red Dead Online is just for the vibes after 100% story mode.
A Player who play the Game since Day 1 for over 3 Years...
players in general is rare as fuck. i started playin recently and ive heard valentine is a hell hole and crowded and only one time when i went did i find someone he was actually chill asf too
I may not play this, but from other games I can tell you I like fair fights, a nice honest battle of skill.
This man knows his Red Dead.
My favorite player archetype are the hunter/fishers who only play the game to either hunt or fish, from their outfits to the types of weapons or no weapons they use they're the exact type of player to go to to you, stow a pelt or giant fish on your horse before prompty leaving to do it again
I login to enjoy the immersion of the place, I don't think there are any other games like it really.
Im a collection addict. Play for hours just to collect stuff - or for achievements 😂
Charles and Sadie, also Landon.
I do have John periods, but only when R* puts out terrible monthly events repeatedly.
Like the last, and the current one lol.
Definitely a John Marston. Probably wouldn't be if there weren't so many other excellent games out there and I was immortal.
Gavin can be found in a saloon during one of the missions. I think one of the gunslinger missions
I’m mostly a John type mixed with Karen jones bc who doesn’t love the moonshine shack or playing cards with the gang
I recently restarted the game lvl 36 as a trader
Used to be just Kieran, but now am Charles and John as well
The Sadie one reminded me of a story.
Uncle wearing a suit and Arthurs hat is something I thought I'd never see 🙈
I guess that makes me Charly John, who likes horses.
You Cat are a Kindred spirit that loves interactive art.
How can one get tired of interacting with a masterpiece.
Thanks from Delawhere?, USA;)
I am a collector and when i met Griefers I imagined they want steal my high value(LOL) collectibles 😅that’s my RDO Story
@@jamesanthony8438 You have a head... cannon? How big is it? What grain load are you using? How do you survive the recoil?
Logged on the other day cause my friends and I had an itch. We played for over a hundred hours our first time creating a posse. All the roles, shine shack etc, it was great.
We wanted to log in just to play some poker, hunt, and just immerse ourselves in the beautiful world.
There were no animals on the map. We tried server hopping multiple times and kept ending up with 0 animals.
That killed it for us. We wanted to camp and hunt etc. it reminded us why we left, it’s the most beautiful game world ever made and it’s a complete after thought to rockstar.
I have 1700+ gold from being Strauss. Pity there is nothing to do with it
Killing someone’s horse is such a dick move. I always keep horse reviver on me and share it liberally. I will revive the horse of someone I’ve just been in a fight with if I or someone else hit it.
The Uncle players 😂
I met an "Uncle" type of player the other day but he invited me instead to complete bounties for him😂 freakin' lumbago
I am Marston, I always stop playing for a month, and get back on just to experience the open world of rdo.
John Marston type for sure. This game is to beautiful to give up completely
Literally the 1st one. When I get on I just enjoy minding my own business and hunting. Sometimes naturalist gathering and treasure hunting. No real goals just playing/chilling.
Charles (being in the wild, hunting, attacking nobody), Uncle (doing nothing and random fun things), Sadie (i like killing griefers), Karen (chilling with friends and do random shit for fun), john marston (I didn't play it for a year)
I have restarted my game 3 times now. Need more to do than just daily challenges.
I get on every now and then to invite new players to my posse for a good pay out with a camp delivery after i get it filled out.
4:48 ok I feel called out now lmao
I’ve played since the Beta day 1. Everything is maxed. I own everything.
And I STILL play it.
John Marston too, haven’t been back for a while, might have to visit the old homestead.
I’m definitely a Landon, Charles, and sometimes uncle, and mainly John
