    In my lunchbreak i watched the playing part .... maaaaaan ... you have such a unique groove and attitude in your playing!!!! For me as somebody who comes back to the guitar your playing is a true inspiration!!!
    I tried to write something in your querypost this week, but the comments where disabled.
    I can say i would love to see when you make videos about your playing in general, maybe your history how you get to the guitar etc. And what would be killer ... tutorials on Propain classics with tabs and a bit of history an theory on the songs.
    Thank you for your channel!!!

    If Batman would play it … stops video, buys guitar without further Information 😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Great content in a great mood👍🏻 In combination with evertune Solar win the race for me, in the end a bit because of the Price and the availability of certain evertune Models for the European Market.
    But esp/ltd is was one of the right alternatives, when you want to get something for your hard earned money 👍🏻

    • @MadManMusic
      @MadManMusic  3 роки тому +1

      Solar’s seem cool! The only Solar’s I ever played were when they were still Washburn’s and it was just the Ola Signature Model… and I didnt really care for it then.. but the newer stuff might be a better quality, I dunno! Once the world is opened back up and I can check out music stores again, I’ll keep an eye out for em.
      But it seems like Solar guitars are similar to Jacksons in that their neck profiles are all super super thin and flat. After being endorsed by PRS guitars I learned to appreciate a thicker neck profile and that aligned perfectly with ESP because their necks are right in between both Jackson and PRS thickness. Comfy and solid all at the same time.
      Thats a little side rant, sorry!
      Thanks for the comment!!

    Hey man, this review really peaked my interest.
    I currently only have an Ibanez multi scale 7 String, but I really would love to have a LP style 7-string with a fixed scale, as I just prefer that over a super strat.
    How much does your EC-407 weigh?
    Due to shoulder and back issues I am rather "dependent" on a lightweight guitar, if I want to play it for anything longer than 10 minutes...
    The Ibanez is around 3.8kg which is ok.

    • @MadManMusic
      @MadManMusic  3 роки тому

      Hey dude!
      I have a feeling this guitar will be a bit heavier than the Ibanez but not by too much. I dont know the exact weight, but I‘ve played both brands for ages and Ibanez is always the lighter of the two.
      But, its certainly not as heavy as something like a Gibson LP. The body is about 3/4 of the thickness.
      Most of the weight is in the neck, as its a 7 string. This also means its susceptible to the dreaded Head Stock Drop. But grab yourself a nice padded leather strap like a Richter Spring Break and you‘ll be good to go!!

      Than I might just snag one, just to try it out ^^
      A local dealer of mine currently has one as B-Stock for 730€.
      I guess its similar in thickness to a Solar Singlecut.
      I have been using nothing but the Richter Springbreak for the last 5 years or so.
      Best strap there is in my eyes.

    • @MadManMusic
      @MadManMusic  3 роки тому

      Nice! A Richter Bro! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
      I have a feeling the LTD will be slightly thicker than the Solar stuff. From what I‘ve experienced they seem to have a mishmash of Jackson and Ibanez features. So fairly thin everywhere.
      Let us know what you decide on!

    • @MadManMusic
      @MadManMusic  2 роки тому

      Hey dude!
      I did swap out the tuners on my own. And I understand it can be scary. Especially if the tuners dont line up directly.
      You should look into Grovers or Gotoh locking tuners. I “believe” both use the same mounting design. So you shouldn’t have to drill extra holes.
      My Sperzels were not a direct fit and needed holes drilled.. wasnt my favorite thing to do…
      Let us know how it goes!

    How does soloing on this guitar feel compared to a 24.75'' neck? Especially bending. I'm considering getting this guitar, but I'm not used to a 25.5'' neck.

    • @MadManMusic

      To be honest I dont really consider myself an expert on leads.. i have a few tricks up my sleeve but I plateaued in my 20s..
      However, my lead guitarist in Pro-Pain recently switched to the E2 Eclipse 7 because he loved the feel of mine so much! The LTD and the E2, shape-wise, feel the same. So I would venture to guess you might find it comfortable also!
      You can probably find them secondhand for fairly cheap. The price alone might be worth it!

    Well bro which bridge is great for super low action, without fret buzz... evertune or tom....

    • @MadManMusic
      @MadManMusic  2 роки тому +1

      No Fret buzz has nothing to do with bridge. It has to do with the Neck Setup. And having super low action without "any" fret buzz is a hard thing to accomplish.
      Make sure your guitar's neck is straight by Using a Straight Edge that is the same length as your fretboard, Set your string action around 1.5mm on the low strings and 1mm on the high strings, Intonate and make adjustments accordingly, then if there is fret buzz add some "Relief" to your Neck by Loosening your Truss Rod by very small increments (Like 1/8-1/4 turns) until the Buzz is gone.
      Hope that helps!

    I bought one of these used in exellent condition, online for $500 right before I saw this video. In the picture it didnt show the back of the guitar so I was worried about getting one where the neck doesnt smoothly transition to body. Luckily, I got one made in Indonesia with the seamless neck and I like it a lot, much easier to play and sounds a lot better than my older 7 string. I was playing a MAB7 (my first 7) and the action was just horrible no matter how I set the trem and/or truss rod.
