@nostrius-t1z i didn't mean anything by it either way, really. LoL I like Conan and I like survival games. I just missed the book where Conan builds a farm. LoL
In the very first Conan story, he lives in a castle. The Cimmerians homeland was conquered and his people pushed far out, but he was always destined to one day live in that castle. In several of the comic book stories he kinda just decides he's going to loaf around to drink and party until the locals get sick of him and try to kick him out. He isn't an adventure seeker, he's an adventure finder.
@@Loreweavver For some reason I don't see him enslaving people on a wheel of pain either, that would seem really dark considering lol. You don't play Conan though, you're a random in the exiled lands.
@nostrius-t1z I've recently picked it up. I'm whatever a beach bob is in this game at the moment. Conan would keep slaves (depending on the context) but I don't know if he would do the torture and breaking himself.
That was a very enjoyable video. I love your building tutorials, so this was a pleasant surprise. On my private server, I have mods that allow for players to play as farmers, traders, or even vagabonds. I have always been disappointed by the game mechanics that force you to build a base just to survive. So it was fascinating to watch you do a full run with NO mods! Good job!
Nomadic challenges are tons of fun, they truly test your game knowledge! I prefer to limit myself to handcrafts, building a base out of bedroll, looted tents, and campfire.
Very fun video to watch! This was a good Conan Exiles experience. You never know what random things you might encounter from other players on a Public server, like decayed bases and teleporters. This is part of the game and feel very legit to me. I wish PvE did more to allow you to share more with other non-clan member players. Like allowing access to a particular chest. Or allowing a horse to be taken by another.
This is how I have been playing on an RP server. The best change Funcom made imo was to the loot table of enemies. Being able to rescue caged thralls on the Exiled Lands also makes this playstyle more viable.
Yeah the loot reworks and the cages especially came in clutch, some parts would have been far more difficult did I not have a thrall or pockets of plant fiber 😂
Very well done video, I felt like I was watching a movie from the narration to the video editing. I really enjoy your work as well, but hats off to this video its the best I have seen in recent memory, thanks again. This inspired me to try this challenge too.
That was a good run to watch, and I imagine it would have been a good refresher to yourself of how the game actually plays. I did a "what they are calling" a vagabond run a while ago. It would be a bit easier now with thrall cages and more resource drops. But there was no building outside of what I could make in my inventory and no thralls outside of cages. I did it on Siptah, and you know, the thing about siptah is that it doesn't have the lore and story progression that the Exiled Lands have. I hardly play it for that reason nowadays. It's a good fun run. Thanks for putting it together, and I hope you enjoyed it.
The sandstorm isn't that difficult to survive with just a few rough wraps. The sandstorm damage doesn't stop the wrapping/healing animation and you are essentially healing yourself through the damage. It only takes 3-4 wraps and you easily survive the sandstorm without requiring a shelter.
I like to take on the spider boss at skittering cavern for an early legendary on a fresh playthrough. I use stone daggers and bleed her out. usually level 15 at this point. Only place with a legendary chest not in a dungeon. Every now and then I get lucky, but it's usually a shield or a bow. I think the Nemedian that she drops would help with durability for some of the non legendaries you pickup.
Nice video sir. Now you are warmed up, time for the Hardcore Nomadic challenge; only have 1 life, and only use what you loot or can craft in your own inventory (no benches)! 🤘😎🤘

Oh, I thought that you were only able to do those dungeons at level 60 (same for the world bosses), so I always used mods to level down the bosses and/or power up my character. I might go back to try to play without those mods. Thank you!
Nice video, I was thinking on a similar idea once, but I failed like 20 min after :D Btw one question, the workbench you have placed on the very begin at 00:56 , it's a bazaar item, or a decoration mod? Its looks really awesome.
Thanks Nimdhar! It's a Bazaar item, I think from the Aesir Blacksmith bundle from AoW C2, if I recall correctly. No mods, as I played on an official PvE server
@Eradicati0nn Actually, you don't need to craft all the benches. At level one you could have killed Darfari NPCs on Noob River for their mask that they drop that also works as a sandstorm mask. Also at level one you can kill the tier-three Black Hand Pirates archers on Noob River that drop ancient bows. That way you have a strong bow without having to do the archery journey step. If you crafted just the dismantling bench, then went to the Sepermeru city of the relic hunters and gathered up all the items in the chests hidden on the roofs of the buildings. Then you would have most every crafting supply already crafted for you after putting everything into the dismantling bench, and you would just need a blacksmith bench and an armor smith bench. You would have also picked up steel tools and weapons from the chests. I play as a nomadic native Pictish character, and I travel around the map with two thralls that carry my tent and hide bedrolls, campfire, with a few standing torches and two stone benches for my thralls. Tents can be placed down and picked up whenever you wish to move your camp elsewhere. The only two thralls I have with me are a fighter or dancer and a bearer thrall. My bearer thrall carries my raw foods. When I need food, then I set up camp and cook only 50 farel flesh, 50 steaks, and 50 exsqizet meats and place them at the bottom of my inventory with a second water skin. I then place some fiber bindings, a truncheon, aloe potions, and my arrows in my inventory in the next row up above the row of food. Both thralls are strength thralls, so that means I don't need to make fish traps for cooked fish. I also don't need to make oil from the fish because I can find advanced weapon damage kits in the chests at Sepermeru City of the Relic Hunters. All of this can be done at level one up to level twenty-two, and I only have to craft the dismantling bench when I need to and the armorers bench just to make my armors and the armor for my two thralls when I need to, then break down the benches when done.
I ran past that a few times, actually went in to check out the architecture of the main building with the ivy! I just chose the server with the best ping at the time, there were plenty of nice buildings tho so I guess I chose right 😂
@Eradicati0nn I take a lot of "inspiration" from your videos, especially the EBA. My main storage room has the blueprint of the tanner from your videos lol.
@@jeroenlaak8714 That's awesome! I might end up hopping back onto that server in the future for another challenge run, so if I do, I'll have to swing by again
I was wondering why you didnt consider trying to run to Sepermeru to get some useful stuff from chests in the beginning already? Would it have counted against the building/settlement rule? Or would it have made it too easy? Or did you consider it a waste of time to run there with the little stamina you have? (it is definitely possible to run there straight from the beginning if you are careful enough around the fauna on the way... just takes ages basically)
Honestly, it didn't occur to me in the early game 😂 I knew I could probably beeline easy high-tier loot like Sepermeru or the legendary katana at Al-Merayah but I kinda wanted the early-game struggle, and wanted to procure things as I went from relic to relic as opposed to taking too much time away to get gear that will trivialize the early game
@@Eradicati0nn Makes a lot of sense, it certainly would have made the video less entertaining to watch. And thats what we're here for - thank you so much for always bringing out fun and informative vids
I mean you can clothe and arm yourself generally with combat. you can get food this way too for the most part. The Scourge stones don't need a crafting bench The none of the dungeons you need to go into require one either really. So literally if you fight for gear drops.... know caves are to avoid the sand storm (and where it isn't an issue) then honestly it is not really that difficult a task.
There was a patch on Nov 4th that put Living Settlements back on for officials and attempted to fix some issues. Apparently some of the issues are still happening, but that "hotfix" broke my single player save so I can't test independently at the moment 😩
@@Eradicati0nn i noticed some issuess werent fixed cuz when i load in sometiemes i load in stuck in the floor so do u know when they will fix it for everyone
I would have taken Ionna with me if I could 😂 Hard to say for certain, The Exiled Lands isn't on any known map of the world so safety could be 5 miles away, or 5000
I can't blame the Discord advisory panel 😂 I do also remember reading Legendaries were locked behind level 60 reqs, I guess that either got removed or was a rumor at the time. In retrospect, I think a legendary weapon might have trivalized a lot of the early struggle though, so I'm glad I only got my hands on it for the harder spots
I'm pretty sure they've said before that they'll never wipe the current officials, as people losing years of work is a good way to get them to stop playing. If they introduced servers that have regular wipes though, I'd support it
I was super interested in this as you said " WITHOUT building" and less than minute in you say that you are allowed to build crafting benches. It made me sad as I have been trying to find a good set of rules for a proper nomad challenge and unfortunately this isn't it.
I'd regard that idea as more of a scavenger run, with no crafting allowed at all. This is more of a no shelter/no base run Scavenger rules are probably pretty simple though. No crafts, everything must be looted (bedroll & campfire included). I'd regard Nomad as purely no permanent home or fixtures, but scavenger sounds a little closer to what you're aiming for
The foliage usage on ground is pointless. It doesnt really make the game any prettier, it just hogs performance and in video streaming / recording bitrate.
What is the point of not having a house on a pve server like no 1 is going to attack you lol . +Didn't you take basically a full kit from a base and a name thrall as a free tank and for the bosses , sorry but i can't see this as a challenge run it was more like a normal run to me

@Eradicati0nn I'll make sure to have a fountain so you can have a cheat free refreshment XD
Fun fact: Even in PvE, when thralls are down, even player attacks can kill them. That's why Dann died.
i did this once. felt so bad. 😔
Kinscourge is also my favorite!
Well done really enjoyed the storytelling - but what about Iona ;)
Dan continues fighting once you are close to him. Thralls do not continue the fight until you get in range or another player is.
Yeah I was hoping that was the case 😂
Sobek cave is good for starter armor 200 Hp 500+ armor and musashi black blade are easy to get too
I was wondering why you didnt consider trying to run to Sepermeru to get some useful stuff from chests in the beginning already?
Going home to jail? You should have a word with Dan's probation officer?!
I mean you can clothe and arm yourself generally with combat. you can get food this way too for the most part.
The Scourge stones don't need a crafting bench
The none of the dungeons you need to go into require one either really.
So literally if you fight for gear drops.... know caves are to avoid the sand storm (and where it isn't an issue) then honestly it is not really that difficult a task.
how come noone isnt posting about if its ok to have living settlements turn on or if funcom fix it
There was a patch on Nov 4th that put Living Settlements back on for officials and attempted to fix some issues. Apparently some of the issues are still happening, but that "hotfix" broke my single player save so I can't test independently at the moment 😩
As of last night living settlements have not been turned on. I'm on xbox one
@@jakep328 Oh yeah almost forgot that, I don't think the patch is out for Xbox yet
@@Eradicati0nn i noticed some issuess werent fixed cuz when i load in sometiemes i load in stuck in the floor so do u know when they will fix it for everyone
cant belive you left your loyal companion :( and it's desert all around the exil lands... where can you go? where is the closest city?
I would have taken Ionna with me if I could 😂 Hard to say for certain, The Exiled Lands isn't on any known map of the world so safety could be 5 miles away, or 5000
There are 2 Legendary Chests in the Dregs to help Low Level Players with Legendries.....You need to fire your Discord Advisers LOL
Next video : Can I Beat Conan Exiles WITHOUT Bugging?
I still hope, that Funcom will introduce wipes on PVE and PVE-С (every 3-6 months). Otherwise it becomes ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure they've said before that they'll never wipe the current officials, as people losing years of work is a good way to get them to stop playing.
If they introduced servers that have regular wipes though, I'd support it
@@Eradicati0nn New PVE and PVE-С servers, with a reset system every 3-6 months are even better.
This is more of a no shelter/no base run
Scavenger rules are probably pretty simple though. No crafts, everything must be looted (bedroll & campfire included). I'd regard Nomad as purely no permanent home or fixtures, but scavenger sounds a little closer to what you're aiming for
@@Eradicati0nn i did come back and watch your run after you had inspired me to do a nomad run of my own. good video!
how come noone postin about
The foliage usage on ground is pointless. It doesnt really make the game any prettier, it just hogs performance and in video streaming / recording bitrate.
you're working so hard to take this game seriously and at every turn the ai is like 🥴
Cheated by building crafting benches
What is the point of not having a house on a pve server like no 1 is going to attack you lol . +Didn't you take basically a full kit from a base and a name thrall as a free tank and for the bosses , sorry but i can't see this as a challenge run it was more like a normal run to me
Hey no cheating allowed i understand the undead dragon is hard but u cheated dosen't count
Haha. Conan Exiles is full of bugs. It's always half broken. That's not really cheating, it's more of a game function.
@perceivedvelocity9914 i know lol 😆
