@bronteluvssecrets Season 1 and 2 you could actually learn a little bit about equestrian things. They even had a episode on colic. I didn't know horses could have that problem.... I was a guy and rode at a family barn that was very much like Pine Hollow, however it wasn't focused on Hunter Jumper but Dressage. The show was accurate, even down to having the mean girl who while she was a accomplished rider was a horrible person. . haha. .. You live in Australia, have you ever visited the property where the show was filmed? Curious.
Exactly, you can’t film with horses (professionally) without a horse expert with you. Why they never asked one to step in and asked how to do (XYZ) is beyond me. Yes I have been to one of the locations in season 1. I went to horse camp where they filmed the cross country scenes but that’s it.
@@bronteluvssecrets Thanks for the reply! I was under the impression that the producers did have equestrian professionals on set when required, maybe this wasn't the case? I did recall watching a program in the past decade that actually was focused on the making of The Saddle Club , and they had a regular handler/professional. I wish I could remember what the name of that program was but I can't recall it. But I do believe it was made in the past decade or so and they had a man on that was claimed to be that equestrian professional. I left that family barn I rode at because of all the drama that was always going on, I was too old to go back to middle school and the children related to me as if I was just like them! That was exhausting to me even though in all honesty they were mostly nice kids. The children said I had excellent balance on the horse, and flexibility for dressage and the barn owner/instructor said the same thing. I really wanted to do more jumping and or cross country riding. I really lacked the patience for dressage even though I probably had the ability to do well.
@@horseathalt7308 yes that’s correct, that’s what I mean, is you can’t have a show/movie that big without horse professionals, it’s also a safety thing as well, so I always asked myself, if they did have them on set why didn’t they intervene when they weren’t doing things correct. Finding the right riding school/teacher can be hard, I would go from teacher to teacher until I could find the right one for me. You can always have a phone call with instructors and ask them questions with what you hope to get out of your riding before having a lesson.
The Saddle Club S3 is honestly not bad, but compared to the first 2 seasons, it has things holding it back from being better which is what i feel about H2O: Just Add Water S3 which wasn't supposed to be a thing or Blue Water High S3 for that matter, it was due to popularity they got a S3 greenlit for both. Idk what was it like for The Saddle Club tv show absent for 5 years and then suddenly new sets & cast change at least for the main and recurring ones. Or recently Rock Island Mysteries S3, after S2 ended nicely and a cliffhanger (which i'm going to say what happens for spoiler reasons), S3 starts off with their main character at the end of S3 EP 1, she's gone and it's up to her friends to get her back & Uncle Charlie.
I do agree with you, but also, season 3 was meant to introduce a new audience and have a new taste to it, hence why things seemed more childish instead of adolescent.
@bronteluvssecrets Yeah. Also watching the final EP of the original Skippy TV show before moving into the revival TV series which came out in the early 90s, time gap of 22 years since the final EP of the original show & EP 1 of the revival well actually they combined the first 3 EPs as a one hour long movie.
What characters did former actor gerard Kennedy play from the saddle club television show?
