Their makeup artist Rick Underwood suggested to Geoff about doing a "Zombie Infection". Geoff loved the idea so rearranged the video to what it is now. Geoff's wife Kathy is the zombie on the floor. The doll is Greta the Gruesome from a Halloween store. Rick did Greta's face to look like Kathy's. To me the best part is Geoff's narration and the 4 of them dancing. Voiceplay released their latest video several weeks ago. Be Prepared from the Lion King. It is fantastic. Geoff released his latest video a month ago. Song of Durin. It is absolutely gorgeous. He brought back the dwarves and added another one.
VoicePlay's Halloween release didn't disappoint. Thanks for your reaction to my favorite group. This was Geoff's project, so he arranged it. Kathy was unrecognizable as "Floor Zombie" as she's listed in the video description. Fortunately, Layne kicked a "flying stunt zombie" rather than Kathy 🙂
The floor zombie was Kathy, Geoff’s wife, and the stunt zombie was Gruesome Greta, from the Halloween store. Makeup artist Rick Underwood airbrushed the doll to mimic Kathy’s makeup. It was her idea that Layne kick her across the room. (The make up was indeed professional quality. Rick was a make up artist for Universal Studios for many years where Geoff and Kathy both appeared in the Beetlejuice Rock n Roll Graveyard Revue at Universal Studios.) I thought they did an incredible job condensing the story elements as well as the song from the long MJ video to this. Geoff was the perfect person to do the Vincent Price monologue, and I love how J was singing so tremulously at the door as they are all approaching him. They are known as the kings of Halloween as well as the theater kids of a cappella for a reason. The last several years, they have been using the karaoke track during their outro where you can really hear all those background harmonies. After the behind-the-scenes videos, the karaoke track is my second favorite perk of being a patron.
Rick Underwood, the makeup artist got creative concept credit with Geoff on this one. They are absolutely brilliant, all of them!

Thanks for the info, Geoff and Kathy make a great team!
They're totally Kings of Halloween. So much care and hard work... thank you VP! 🌹🕊
This is not the first time Voiceplay have been zombies.
Check out Zombies versus Cowboys with Home Free.
It is totally silly fun.
This is one of my absolute favorite VP covers EVER, and that's a hard list to make and an even harder one to beat!
SPOOKY!! Halloween is here folks! VP killed this performance. Such respect to Michael, but yet pure VP flare. Will be watching for years to come.
