    Nice review and update, Ross. My B2601 hydraulic manifold has leaked (just wet) from day one. I’ve never done anything about it. Great video with clever editing, as always!

    2 years and it finally made it out of the garage! 🤣😂🤣 I think Lucas had that hydraulic manifold replaced or resealed under warranty....common leak. Take care Ross and glad to see grass instead of snow!

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  2 роки тому +1

      Haha! Yes Brad.. I pulled it out of the shop just for this video. And back it goes until snow! Ya Lucas just did his. My dealer did say "when it leaks, they'll replace it" so we'll see how it goes until the fall, and I'll get it looked at before winter.. or next spring most likely... Cheers.

    Nice tractor. But doesn’t matter what you buy. There’s always gunna be little things. I don’t have one of those tractors, but would like to. I do have 11 garden tractors that always need something.
    I find the whine from the hydro loud Ross. And maybe that’s normal or the camera is making it sound that way on the video. What did I do on my land today ? Well I cut dead branches and ones that were in the way for grass cutting. Three trailer loads. 4’ by 6’ trailer. Used my 1982 Case 446 to haul that. Then I tilled between 7 rows of potatoes to keep the weeds at bay and bring soil up for hilling next week. Used my 1980 LGT 165 Ford with 36” rear tiller to do that.
    Have a good weekend Ross.

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Noel, the whine is normal unfortunately. I will be switching to a thicker fluid next go around and that's supposed to quiet it down some. But it's a thing with the BX. I'd like to get a flail mower and a tiller to make better gardens but have not done so yet. Cheers and thanks for watching and commenting. Have a good weekend.

    The BX series are great tractors! I had a 2009 BX25 that I just sold as a down payment on my new b series. That was 13 years, and 1500 hours. Perfection. I never even replaced the battery (which is still crazy to me) I worked it hard too. But always did the maintenance by the book. I know the guy who bought it is very good about maintenance too, so I’m sure it has long way to go yet. Seriously great little tractors. Thanks for posting this video.

    My biggest complaint is the deck adjustment knob. It worked fine for awhile but over time something happens and it becomes a pain to adjust. It’s not a matter of knowing how to adjust it, it’s just a junk setup. Which mowing is the main task mine does. Mines at 230 hours. One thing I’d like to see on the sub compact tractors is independent brakes. Good review of the tractor!

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  2 роки тому

      Hi Ben , the adjustment knob could definitely use a redesign! I don't use the Mid Mount for anything except under armour in summer, so it's of little use to me, but for people who are constantly using it, I totally understand . Have a great weekend

    Its about 2 weeks till I hit the 1 year mark with my BX2680. Only 53 hours on it. It does everything I need it to do, I only have an acre so it don't get used much. I've used it twice to mow for friends who let their yards get out of control. I picked up a 60" mid mount mower this spring finally, so I've been using it a little bit. I do need to get a rotary cutter and/or a flail mower though, doing these heavy mowing jobs is going to destroy that mid mount mower....already chewed up one of the antiscalp wheels that managed to remove itself from the mower deck yesterday while mowing a property....chewed up the wheel, severely gouged the metal shaft it mounts to, and bent the lower edge of the mower deck...spent about 20 minutes straightening out the deck so the blade wasn't hitting it....not happy about the damage.
    I have the pin type aftermarket lower links on my BX, it works so much better than those stupid turn buckles, and a lot easier to adjust...not that I have to adjust them much anymore as I have a quick hitch now...only thing with that is when I need to use my 3 point receiver hitch I have to take the quick hitch off, as well as if I use my sub-soiler/ditcher the quick hitch has to come off. Wish they made longer lower 3 point pins so I don't have to remove the quick hitch LOL.
    My height adjustment for the MMM no longer goes to the TOP setting unless I crawl under the tractor and shove the lift links up then rotate the height adjustment knob to TOP at the same time as I push up on the links.

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  2 роки тому +1

      Hi William, that is a fantastic comment. Thank you. I have 6 acres, but use a zero turn instead of MMM. Next time you are under and adjusting the links see if there is an adjustment screw rearward towards the rear 3pt arms. Some people say there is an adjustment back there. But mine works fine.
      I would love to get a flail mower.
      And I'm definitely getting the other link adjusters instead of turnbuckles

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 2 роки тому +1

      @@RossOnTheLand The only adjustments I've found is the ones for leveling left to right on the deck, and for how high the deck lifts which is behind the left wheel of the tractor, and not exactly sure that adjusting it one way or the other does anything. I'll have to crawl under it one of these days when it ain't 100+ degrees and see if I can find anything else because not being able to lock the lift arms into the TOP position without fiddling around with them is not acceptable...especially when there's a skid plate attached to them when the MMM isn't installed.
      I'm leaning towards a flail mower as well, very expensive though, and no way to finance one so that's the problem I'm running into and why I don't have one.
      The pin type link adjusters are extremely easy, and you really have to be doing something dumb to break or bend them, typically you'll run out of traction long before you bend or break them....those turn buckles just never stay adjusted properly...with the pin type you simply put the pin wherever you want and they're set...they have a little bit of slop in them to allow for an implement to move slightly if you hit something, but not enough to have a bunch of free play where your linkage is hitting stuff on the tractor.
      I cause enough damage to my equipment myself, so I can't really say the tractor itself is bad, its just being my first tractor and learning things the hard way as I go HAHA!!

    Great 2 year review. You really are helping me with my decision to buy. BTW, on another channel, they said that a piece of 1/2 inch PEX will fit in the covers for when the loader is mounted. 2 bits of PEX and then your plastic covers can connect to each other to keep them clean. Not sure I explained that very well.
