My Dad was like Earnhardt..Ignored you liked you didn’t exist, high expectations, bust your ass, and never knew how to show he loved you. Just a product of how he was treated and raised as a kid.

Dale raised his kids with tough love and taught them reality and morals and in return they all turned out to be respectful people 👍

It's funny how people were raised by people like Earnhardt and came out as great people but choose not to raise their kids that way

The problem with the old days and the new days the old days kids had to love what their parents did now we bend over backwards trying to love what the kids loved and it just don't work

Absolutely loved this Herman ... Kelley is still cool . Great stories 👍 . I believe she keeps Jr somewhat grounded as far as what he spends money wise..... I'm so glad she is with him in business

It’s cute how she says it was like that back then and Kenny has to be like, listen punkin… 😂😂😂
It’s awesome to hear how no matter how cool Dale was, he was still just a concerned father.

I have continually heard in interviews from Kelly and Dale Jr that Dale Sr was not a good dad at all. I think they both struggle with how to say that without pissing off the horde of Dale Sr fans. They know the man, we know the myth.

Kenny knows that if he mentions an Earnhardt, then he gets more views. And if he gets one on his podcast then $$$$$$$.

Once again it just goes to show the type of person you are, that those who speak with you open up about their lives , you can see how comfortable they are with you, it's not just an interview, they are speaking to a friend, someone they respect and enjoy, great job Kenny :)

A good father raises great kids . So I would therefore disagree. The man's kids are awesome
