Nice catch of the SNY&W doing some STREET RUNNING through Utica! Im a big fan of a locomotive running LHF! Glad we don't have any snow here! Thanks again RR for sharing another great video with us! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
You've got to watch out for those old men on bikes. Most small towns seem to have them and I think that when they were born there was a gene that said that is what you are going to do for life. Always nice to see NYSW come traveling down the street especially with the good horn action. Watching the snow curl off the roof of the building as the train goes by that pretty much summarizes what Friday and Saturday will bear here in Milwaukee. Stay warm and maybe by June we'll gift to see a canine caper
Street running is so cool. Throwing in an intersection with crossing bucks and bells on all four corners is priceless. If not for that nasty white stuff, it’d be a cool place to live.
Interesting reporting marks on the box cars: Old Augusta Railway (OAR), York Railway (YKR), Atlantic and Western Railway (ATW) and Canadian National (CNA).
Snowy and blustery. Reminds me of walking to Kernan School as a kid. I love it! Thank you. I can never remember the name of that "Upstate Wireless" building. I always have to go to Google Street View to look it up. For some reason, I have Smiley-Roberts stuck in my old brain. But no, it's the Soley-Roberts building (so indicated at the top of the building above and to the right of the Upstate Wireless sign, 1:20). It'll probably be there forever.
Awesome video! Just wondering, what days does this local run? I will be heading to Utica soon and this was on my bucket list of trains to catch. Any help is appreciated!
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that the engineer obeyed the traffic signal at the intersection?
Great job with this video, love the horn
Fantastic street running rare to see now a days
I love these videos
What a fun place to be! Street running in a snow flurry. Very enjoyable to watch. Thank you for braving the lousy weather.
What a Great video our friend! Very nicely done with the snow and a great setting! He plays that horn very sweetly! Cheers! (Dave).
Beautiful catch in the snow. Like the local freight like The SUSQUEHANNA NY WESTERN Railroad. Excellent shots & video. 🟨⬛🟨⬛👍🎥🧱🛤️🚦🚦⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love watching these videos!
Your cell phone still produced a good quality video. Thanks for posting this.
Good day to you & Witold. Very good video, I miss the upstate N.Y. area. Thank you
Great video my friend! Love it! A unique slice of America!
Thanks Matt!
Great catch! 🥶
Great video my friend!
Thank you for braving the cold.
I love your videos! I hope you can get some during these upcoming storms, but be careful!

The winter is beautiful!
Greetings from Tonawanda NY! Windy, here too. The costal snow storm didn’t reach as far west, but the wind is blowing harder.
Just had 9 inches snow dumped on us and another bunch on the way in 2 days... here in Belton MO. Wind mild, 18 degrees, sun going down.
Fascinating train... Great post !!
Awesome street run
I could imagine what that street looked like back in the days of steam locomotives...and the cars of that era. You could film a period movie there.
Great sounding horn
Thanks again for being out there and sharing your videos. Great job !
Where was all the snow when we were there at Christmas?
Hey rail rambler always cool watching trains on scyler St. Hopefully one day they'll run between Utica and Birmingham again
Great video from Okeechobee Florida. It isn't snowing here. Lol
The video from your phone looks good. Thanks.
Finally starting to look like winter in Utica, not so much in Mooresville N.C.

I'm fairly sure the bicyclist surprised me more than I surprised him! He did yell something after he passed by though, lol.
@@railroadingrambler218 it sounded like he just said snow. Bad weather does not slow them down as they are probably on a dumpster diving Quest
What a lovely 'smalltown USA' feel that has
It does but you have a lot of people there that bring neighborhood down.

It's been 20 years since I've been there and I've never been in the snow
Oops when I say snow I forgot I spent 4 years and Oscoda Michigan

Cool 😎 video! 👌
Love it, i live in Syracuse without allot of rail fanning spots.
I wonder if the engineer is a Glenn Miller fan... He's got a good hold of that horn. Is that a crossing tower down the road there?
Great video!
cool & I want a traffic light like that!
watching from pa

Figures it snows when I leave...!
I prefer a lot of snow, makes for better videos, lol!
Makes me appreciate living in NC, not Albany NY. Hi to Vitold.
Ah...snowy Utica. Remember it well (Hamilton 70)
Cool shot...I wonder how close that traffic light comes to touching those hi-cubes?
It would be nice if the train was put in the Christmas movie that Chevy Chase is in.
Are they limited to how many cars they can have on the street section?
No, 100 car trains were not unusual back in Erie-Lackawanna/DL&W days (the line runs all the way to Binghamton, 95 miles south of Utica).
Good video clear
Too bad cabooses aren't used anymore. Would have made a nice touch. Thanks for the wintry RR video.

It runs everyday M-F, they're usually on Schuyler Street between 9:30-10:30. Good luck!
I live close by, and you can hear when it's on Schuyler.
Awesome! Thanks for your help!@@railroadingrambler218
Love the Bum on bike.
Definitely not a high speed train.😀
Oh I just noticed what it said on the side of the engine
Do they still serve the brewery ? I haven't seen videos of it for a longer time
Yes, still going strong. ua-cam.com/video/X5Em_OtLhEQ/v-deo.html
No canine companion today??
No Witold this time as I was returning from a work commitment. He'll make his 2024 debut soon though, lol.
So much for Remington Arms
Yes, sad times in the Valley
@@railroadingrambler218 gee what's the name of that town just don't answer side Herkimer
@@keithlothery4067 Ilion
Yep that's it right next to Herkimer
Named after General Herkimer
I really want to see this operation -- but not until Spring. I heard Utica residents are born with snowshoes.!!
The picture quality is good for a phone! Thank you for making this for us, Hope the cyclist got home.🙃
