    💯 % my wife is like you work your main job, still train and go cut lawns. I can say my customers know the value I give them, vice the 8 man crew that gets in and out. They see me really taking care of their lawn. And know they would rather pay a premium price for me to take care of their lawn. I tell them I don’t have a lot of lawns but I do make my lawns look better then the other company’s lawns.

I have a good amount of work in my neighborhood so if im driving by his house theres no signs of life by 8, 9 or sometimes 10 . Tip, go left to right with trimmer, rather than walking backwards stepping over your feet.
    The risk of shooting rocks is less than risk of injury. Tip number two, always mow the least number of turns, up and down on wide lawn = more turns and looks silly.
    Angled cut/ horizontal cut always more efficient. Good luck sir.

    So you get up at 7 and are done at 3pm. Other than getting up 2 hours early how is that different than working from 9-5? Either perspective is leaving 2 hours on the table. You could fit 2 to 3 more lawns in those 2 hours. As a business owner only getting 8 hours of work a day is something an employee would do. I would bet that 10 hour days would be way more profitable. I'm just saying. Its my opinion. Dont go crazy. Lol

    • @DOCREAL1118

      When busy season hits 7-5 is not out of the question but most of my clients don't want to come home to hearing a mower or blower in their yard when they want to spend time with their family. Those 2-3 lawns I could fit in would be impossible to catch up on when the rains come down for days. Don't be upset, just my opinion 🤪✌️

    • @theroastbeefking
      @theroastbeefking Рік тому +1

      If being done with residential clients by 3:00 is so important then why not fill that extra 2 hours with a commercial account. That way you aren't getting on their nerves. Which you can avoid by scheduling your customers without kids or someone who works till 5pm which is still a lot of people. I'm just saying that being up 2 hours earlier isn't as profitable as handling a customer or 2 more per day. Heck even adding 1 or 2 more per week is more profitable. It's just an observation and opinion. Don't go crazy. Lol

      @DOCREAL1118  Рік тому

      @@theroastbeefking Why add commercial and have to wait 90 days for payment. Doesn't seem like a smart move to me but some people don't mind it. Folks get out of business what they put in. I am very content with my schedule and I think most who run a successful business understands the phrase. The early bird gets the worm! Sitting at home till noon is ok for some but in my opinion those who get out early get the work, for the most part. Once again, just my opinion

      @@DOCREAL1118 I have a commercial account that pays at the end of the month. They don't all take 90 days. Just because you get up early doesn't mean you are getting the worm. It's not the only path to success. No one has said that waking up at noon is a path to success. Working fast, accurately and charging a good amount is a far better way to make money than waking up 2 hours early. Having 5 customers on the same block and only getting out of your truck once can save way more money than driving fifteen miles to 5 different customers locations. There are lots of ways to maximize profits. Getting up early isn't the only way. That's just my opinion. Don't get all crazy. Lol
