Totally agree, Dave's music, what he stands for and the way he makes you feel have changed my life for the better. His songs have been the soundtrack to my life from age 15 until now, and im 37!
Pambi - get his albums named Under the Table and Dreaming, Remember Two Things and Crash and pretty much every song will make you feel a different emotion, mostly happiness, joy, freedom, etc. Enjoy! Discovering his songs for the first time (sort of like how I felt when I discovered the Grateful Dead music) is an amazing feeling and one that not many musicians or artists can achieve.

Whether at a show, an interview, or here as a guest at a store. I think it's just the way he acts ; ) Dave has been off the hard drugs since prob at least around the same time he quit smoking back in 2005. Pretty sure he is pretty sober these days. Although I know you you aren't referring to present day!
He still smokes weed. A girl I know just earlier this summer met him at the show in Mansfield Massachusetts. He kept asking her name over and over. She said he seemed like he smoked a lot of weed before hand.

His face resembles Tom Hanks also and maybe I'm judging based in physical appearance, but he seems to have a similar image also, not as grand as Tom hanks but you never really hear anything bad about him, has a clean image, kind of bland and everyone likes him.

And people were gathering around the tour bus behind a gate guard.
He came out and started greeting everyone and people were freaking out pushing the gate over. I yelled stop it! You're going to scare him!
