Great idea mixing in the bag and your boxes. Very informative and to the point. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much
This is a fantastic video!❤ I actually just made my first rocks 4 days ago, but just found your video today. The tip about using bags to mix/pour the cement is so valuable.! I live in an apartment and have been trying to find ways to make this craft less messy. I had to sneak out in the middle of the night to discard my cement water along the alleyway fence,...lol. Using the bag technique for mixing will really alleviate my clean up stress. I really appreciate the tip of using cold water.... I used warm thinking the cement would mix up easier... which it did. But it started setting up immediately and I had to add more water. I did not get any bubbles on the top of my stones, but will still try rinsing my molds with soap water next time. I did not sand off the backs yet, but intend to do it immediately after taking them out of the molds next time. I think it's will be more difficult when they are completely dry... especially my mini ones will be challenging to handle.
Thank you so much! I'm excited to bring out my cement again!! Rock on!!🎉❤🎉

Thank you! Margie is so amazing.
I want to make "story stones" for elementary age kids in my classroom, helps them learn "before" and "after" - comprehension and order of story lines. Not that I think they'll weaponize the story stones and throw them around the classroom, but they will be held and manipulated by little hands, how do they hold up if dropped on tile or cement floors? Love your tutorial, you're an inspiration :)
They don't hold up if dropped. They'll shatter if dropped on a hard surface.
I recommend real stones for the "story stones"
What a fabulous idea! I love it.
how did you make scalloped edges on the heart rock
Where is the mold with the 3 different rocks from? I have all the others. Never thought of doing the mixture in a bag, good idea. Thanks
Glad u like the baggie method!! Makes things so easy!!
Here is the link for the 3 rock! www.amazon.com/Creative-Silicone-Cavities-Jewellery-Decorations/dp/B088X1DT39/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=rock+mold&qid=1614915554&sr=8-4
Have you tried a few drops of your soapy mixture in the mixing to see if it eliminates some of the bubbles?
No, I've never heard of that. Thanks for the tip
Hi, new subscriber here, can I use tap water to mix the cement? Thank you for a great tutorial, the best I've watched x
Yes, you can use tap water. Thank you for the kind words. Margie did an amazing job filming that.
@@thefoilingrocklady Thank you for your quick reply... I live in the UK and cannot find the cement that you are using, would you happen to know what I could use in my country at all?
Do your molds made with this product Crack or chip? Is it strong? Ty
They can break if dropped. But I find the cement all to be stronger.
How did you make the heart rock with scalloped edges
I believe that was a silicone mold. Really you can use many plastic containers to make a mold. Ive used rubermaid containers. Lids. Packaging. If it has a cool design and is plastic it should be ok.
you say you think that was a silicone mold. i asked where you got it
@@faythmcconnell541
I'm not sure where exactly I got it. But this is similar. If you search amazon or ersy for heart shape silicone desert molds. BAKER DEPOT 6 Holes Heart Shaped Silicone Mold For Chocolate Cake Jelly Pudding Handmade Soap Mould Candy Making Set of 2 a.co/d/9cFDJVe
