This is THEE BEST advice I've gotten for fixing all the buffering and freezing my Firestick was doing. I was ready to throw the thing in the trash and keep paying that big cable bill. Dude you saved me. I love me some Firestick now. Thank You Thank You Thank You
Force stopped all the apps running in the background and cleared the cache of each one. Worked like a charm. Watching HD and no buffering. Thanks champ!
Watch this video. This worked for me so far. Thank you very much sir. Kept on 'losing internet connection', 'home not available', 'video not available at this time', slow buffering, blackout screens ALL FIXED. SHUT THOSE BACKGROUND APPS OFF!
After taking advice from about 10 different people and buying a new fire stick, we finally got the problem solved. This is the most helpful video. Thank you so much.
I've seen other videos with similar headlines that weren't really useful. Yours was the first one that actually provided useful advice that works. Thanks.
I couldn't understand why my tv was continuing to buffer. I watched your video. I found the problem. My internet box was to far from the fire stick. Yes the walls were in the way. You rock😀😀
Just did these things and THANK YOU!!!!! It's SUPER aggravating when you're watching a movie and it keeps buffering! So far it hasn't buffered once. THANK YOU AGAIN! 😊
Also didn't realize about the background apps.... I had 10 running that I was unaware of. Turned 'em all off and things seems a bit less glitchy now.. Thx mardyn
Wonderful. Another additional option is to change your browser. I switched from Firefox to Amazon Silk as my default browser. No more buffering and the clarity is awesome!
I had a problem with the firestick simply rebooting over and over and never actually opening. I followed Tim's instructions about clearing applications running in the background. Turns out I had about fifteen. I followed his instructions and my firestick is working good as new, maybe better. Thanks, Tim!
Awesome fix.....thank you so much!!!! Firestick had been running slow with constant buffering for awhile. Come to find out I had about 20 apps running in the background. Great video with step by step instructions. After following your advice my firestick is playing smooth with no buffering. I give you 4 thumbs up!!!!!
I had 26 apps in the background on one of my sticks & 12 apps on the other! This was so helpful! I'm gonna try to watch a movie & report back. Thank you!
Oh my lord I thank you from above my whole firestick crashed an whatever you did on here I did everything an it fixed it now I’m back in action thank you so much 🤝🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi, this is Claire from England, thank you SO MUCH for your Firestick help! Literally - who knew about background apps?? I've also installed the VLC player. Thank you again!
Dude! thanks for this; TEA TV was driving me nuts with buffereing and other issues. Also ad BIG FAT HUGE THANK YOU for getting right into your video and how to etc. Can't stand when tubers waste the first 2 or 3 minutes with chit chat, small talk, and reduncancies. Just get to it.
OMG 😂 😍😱 You must have been sent from the heavens above. I had no idea that I was having so many apps in the background running without me using them I have not watched anything in a while without having to turn it off frustrated. You have made a huge difference in my TV viewing experience thank you so much!! New subscriber alert
Just went through the process you explained on your channel, you were the first one I tried to solve my annoying problem, well I am watching my firestick now 👍 so far 😀 hope this solved my problem
When I noticed your "Channel" that it shows under your wifi was "1," it made me wonder why mine was "52 "and what the heck that meant. (Had no clue.) Then I found this online: "Amazon Fire and various similar sticks/boxes only support 5Ghz channels 36-48. If you have a dual band router and your router is set to auto channel, every time the router changes to a channel outside of this range the fire stick will no longer be able to see the network and will drop the connection[...] The solution is to [...] change the 5 Ghz channel setting from auto to usually one of 36,40,44,48 (non-overlapping channels). Then reboot the fire stick." I did this by logging into my ATT router settings online, and changed my 5Ghz channel to "40" instead of "auto." My signal went from marginal to good immediately. Yay!
I appreciate you showed the back of your set where the firestick is in HDMI. If u have a longer eithernet cord use velcros on on of set so their is nothing messing with signals. This might help.
Great information. then only thing that is really easier said than done is the re-orientaion of the firestick for better reception, not a lot of options (like it being behind the TV) witch such a short connecting cable. Maybe a good idea to add a USB extension cord, but that adds another possible failure point. Thanks for the good info, the Background Apps is golden!
Thank you so much I always thought I backed out my apps I had 33 apps running 🤣 I couldn’t watch twitch or watch movies barely when I’m getting 300 up and down on my computer and phone huge help thank you 😊 👍
Thank Tim..had over 20 open apps running in backround. Hoping all these tips stop my buffering. Love the side apk's but sometimes their frustrating with buffering.
I always had a buffering issue...sucks when trying to watch a movie. Had 22 applications running in the background. Thanks brother.
