'He has to go': Douglas Murray argues Trudeau's government has 'massively overreached'

- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau must go and his government "should fall" amid a list of "absolutely criminal" things the government is doing, says author Douglas Murray.
It comes as a state of emergency has been declared in Ontario, the province which includes Ottawa, after protests entered their third week in the capital.
Protesters have been warned they face large fines or even prison time for their continued demonstrations.
Mr Murray condemned Mr Trudeau for his treatment of the protesters, saying he called them "racists, misogynists and homophobes".
"He and his appalling supporting paper, the Toronto Star, pump out the most vicious propaganda against these truckers."
"The Canadian government has put pressure on some of the Canadian banks to freeze the accounts of truckers - this is just unbelievable banana republic behaviour."

Trudeau has done an excellent job... Notice how the pandemic has been contained in this country. Compare population size and death rate to other countries... We did well during this period. I work in a Federal Gov. Organization and I have found over the last 5 years we have lost management that have empathy for their employees. It doesn’t exist in management any more. Anything that happens is now an opportunity for them to put you on unpaid leave, discipline you and or fire you. Empathy and sympathy are not traits that selected management are encouraged to have. I have seen it coming for a while, I noticed they were letting those executives and management staff, that displayed true concern for their employees, go.

No, it is more that a lot of these countries have become too socialist by selling socialism as caring. Everyone in Canada is trying to outdo each other and be top of the hierarchy in caringness. If you try and tell people that there are scientific studies now showing that masks and lockdowns don't work, people tell you that they must do something, and people don't need to die. When you point out that quite literally people do have to die they can't live forever, you are crass and uncaring. No one seems to care about practicality. No one wants to even think about reality.
It is the most bizarre place to be. If anything happens, not just COVID, people say, it could have been worse. The fact that it could have been a lot better if people hadn't been as stupid, is not even considered. if you point out that something isn't going to work, because evidence, people will say, "Well, I am hoping it does work".
