Thank-you for countering the growing culture of players spawning, loading up with unnecessary expensive kit, and driving away solo in a Jeep in search of a firefight. Logistics is everything. The more videos like this that are posted, the more hope we can have that more players will become team-oriented.
Amen! With such a sudden influx of new players from console, myself included it's no surprise that there are some teething problems with the steep learning curve. I'm here for the teamwork aspects of the game and although there might be some frustration now from the more experienced PC & Xbox players with new players burning through supplies like it's in 1944 hopefully it irons itself out with time 🙌🏻
My hope is that Bohemia Interactive makes some game design changes before a BF/COD culture sets in. First and foremost, armories should only be built by a rank of sergeant or higher.
Nice mate thanks for the comment! The second edition would look at early game tactics to get supplies where they're needed most and the order in which to build bases. As well as that I'd discuss how supplies can be used outwith base building. I'll get too it, stick around 👊🏼🎥
@@Ifindoubtknockthemout Arma Reforger gets mods on Xbox but not on PS5 because of the differences between the two platforms. Xbox is much more open to mods and lets developers integrate systems like Bohemia’s Workshop for easy downloads, while Sony has stricter rules about user-generated content. They prioritise security and stability, which makes it harder to allow the kind of freedom mods need. Plus, Xbox’s setup is closer to PC, so it’s easier to make mods work there. On PS5, it’d take a lot more effort to get around Sony’s restrictions, which is likely why it hasn’t happened yet! Arma has sold around 200,000 copies on PS5 and counting which hopefully lets Sony know how much interest there is in this game and they grant Bohemia the mods
@@Aar0nGaming so do you think I should hold out buying a Xbox I only really want to play this game I hate Xbox controllers aswell but I like ps5 I kite just get ps5 I think
great video. great great video. i usually find the quickest off road route to the supply depot and just run em solo, just have to be fast enough, the trucks are pretty cheap if you fuck it up. convoys are fun though. it is a very rewarding feeling after running lodgey for a while having people spawning on your base. i like to do figari and simons wood mainly
Yea if we're in a pinch i'll often do the same thing and like you try to avoid the main roads. Another good point for runs is Hormbean Valley, the supply depot is right at the top of the hill and there's a quiet backroad from Hormbean base which allows players to attack Entre Deux 🙌
This is a great video, especially for a pretty small channel 😊. There was lots of work in this - excellent job mate! Dropped you a sub 😉 …in regards to running supplies I would also say be aware of the strategic situation. Understand the directions your team’s pushing to best support them and be aware of where the enemy is likely to be pushing. The only thing worse than being ambushed after 10 mins of driving, is arriving at a base only to find it being attacked by the enemy and you get killed leaving a fully stocked supply truck delivered right to the enemy! Also, really important to be good at navigating and getting to know the road network. Nothing worse than getting lost and having to constantly check the map. Know the backroads and have alternative routes if enemies are spotted or the situation changes
Thanks mate I appreciate that 🙌🏻 there was a fair amount of time spent planning it and getting the shots to fit the chat but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! The next video is being edited tomorrow and it's a collection of Arma Reforger tips, it's been cool playing with new and experienced players but really surprising how much functionality of the game is still unknown, so the video is focussed on that and there's hopefully something for all players to pick up! Great posts on the logi 👊🏼
Good video, looking forward to the secondone on strategic decisions around re-supply. I've never done supply drops much in AR but this has got me interested.
Be mindful about your loadouts in this case. If you are going onto the frontline with a full kit only to die seconds later and respawn with another full kit, you are draining those camps supplies fast and making logi workers job less meaningful than it can be! ✌️
Can't recommend it enough mate! Only game that's sort of similar is Hell let Loose if you've played that? It's not without its issues but it is a testing game ahead of the release of Arma 4 so I would keep that in mind 👊🏼
Spacing in the convoy, your escort vehicle should be 10 seconds ahead of the HVT, and the trucks should have decent spacing to account for lag to minimise collisions. Lead vehicle should be driving slowly and lookjng for mines. Drive like a train, each vehicle matching where the other has been, drive where the vehicle ahead of you drove to avoid mines.
You can increase the supply capacity by building structures. Structures like the heavy vehicle depot can hold a few thousand supplies and you can unload supplies at the heavy vehicle depot. As for where the supplies come from, each captured base needs a radio relay built. There are thin red lines shown on the map telling you which other bases that radio tower connects to on the map. The smaller bases will max out at +5 supplies every 5 seconds, +1 for every base it's connected too. Major bases (purple names) max out at +15. Other supplies can be found at supply depots (green circles on the map) and hidden supply caches not shown on the map.
Cant lie, i mad mad fun just driving supplies around today 😂 server frame rate of 4-7 👌😂😂😂 it all ended coz some dude was salty and decommissioned my truck while i was loading supplies. Immediately spawned back in, watched as he loaded a freshly spawned truck with resources then stood in the middle of tue road and launched an AT rocket at his face as he left. Love this game 😂👌
I love love love playing support roles in military games. lol it's so cliche, the girl playing the healer, but seriously I play medic in the BF games and revives are more important than kills for me. I would love to try logistics
Driving supplies and building bases can be pretty fun (and pretty frustrating at times too). Unfortunately medic roles are pretty useless despite medical supplies, dedicated ambulances vehicles and field hospitals, etc. Hopefully they’ll improve the medic role gameplay
Maternal instincts are real 😅🙌🏻 with Arma Reforger being such a good military sandbox it opens the game up to being played in many different ways which is one thing I really enjoy about it!
Yeah ideally this is great but all your hardwork gets undermined by teammates hoarding expensive loadouts that will bleed a base dry in just a few respawns. They’re too selfish and will try to get you kicked for speaking out, public servers has always been a cesspool. Only 0.4% of players got the achievement for supply transporting… These issues are prevalent on US teams because they have the flashy cool looking gear and they all want to be spec ops with the camo helmet and suppressors. They also don’t treat Humvees the same as Soviets treat the BTR, this can be somewhat excused because US doesn’t have APC but they treat their equivalent of the BTR as just another car and so they’re wasteful with it and it’s expensive. They also don’t make good decisions with the Huey, I get that it’s fun to fly and has better handling but they spam these expensive choppers and they usually wreck or get shot down. Also Soviet kit is just better, the AK74 is full auto and performs better in CQC, you don’t really engage far enough away to really flex the better accuracy in the M16, and the RPG is objectively better in every way than the NLAW. So better players flock to the Soviets creating skill gap, US teams are always stereotyped as being really bad at the game.
I think all players have a responsibility to try and help new players learn and understand the game. It might fall on deaf ears sometimes but that shouldn't be for lack of trying!
It's all fun and games until you're the only logi truck and your 600 supplies are instantly gone with people asking for pick ups in the area. And when this repeats every time you make a supply run, and then you get vote kicked for telling people to spawn cars instead of playing dress up barbie and crying on radio for pick ups, I can't help but get upset. I still enjoy doing logistics after 70 hours. But it does get tiresome. Especially when people steal your truck after you dump supplies and are building.

Good video for start, but i feel like "never do supply runs alone" is an overkill.

"Master the Role that WINS battles"
Would like to point out that logistics wins WARS. Just to further emphasize how important it is.
You're correct! I'm updating the title to reflect this 👊🏼
Who to level up storage in a base ? Supplies are ticking every minute in every base (i ask because i see than supplies are growing everywhere) ?
