You explain it well. You want your body to maneuver into the ball powerfully when it touches the bat . People think the point of contact when you check swung it would be the same hit as following through. It's easy to confuse seeing it that way.
How do you reach the outside pitch while keeping your back elbow close to your body? I feel like if I have to move closer to the plate, I'll break the bat on the inside pitch instead.
Practice. Practice. Practice. It sounds like you are misjudging the ball. On routine fly balls always catch the ball in front (not reaching over your head) at eye level. When the ball is hit to your right or left its important to get the proper jump on the ball. You need to be able to tell where the ball is going and make the adjustment in your stride. Its a lot of practice and don't be afraid of making a mistake. Just go for it and understand your speed of getting to the ball.
Thank you coach justin in my league left field and center field fence is very high and the right field fence is short so that would defenetly help me out
Your videos are great! I’ve seen some very successful fastpitch hitters hit this same way, but my daughter’s coaches freak out if her bat isn’t level with the ground. When she tries to swing level like they want, her hands are the first to drop and she gets disconnected with the bat and all she hits are little dinkers. What are your thoughts? Should the swings be different between baseball and softball? Thanks!
i played baseball my whole life (27 now) and i only had like 3 hits go over the right fielders head. i could hit homers to left and center field but could barely get it over the right fielders head. it seemed imposible lol

When I play outfield (I play infield and outfield), I have a hard time knowing where the wall is. Do you have any advice for this problem?

Thanks for tuning in and I'm glad to hear you enjoy them! 👊🏼
Don't hitters adjust posture to lean further over to get outside pitch?
It would help if you used an actual pitch at 85-93 mph to show it in reality
