I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
Great video! I have a PB-251. Worked flawless for years; now won’t start. Just replaced the carb, fuel lines, spark plug and air filter. Still won’t start. Any ideas or tips?
Same here. I found another channel where the guy showed there was recall on these blowers. The flywheel pully is trash. Will not allow correct timing to pull start. I just bought a used one. And thought replace carb plug lines would do trick as well. Wish I come across the other video first. I just ordered a new pully. Sucks.. I am into this trashed unit as much as I could have bought a much better unit and newer one at this point. Good Luck.
Another thing, since I got mine to work and then it stopped working, is the engine could be hydro locked….I thought I had a flywheel issue after replacing my flywheel, but when I removed the spark plug, I could pull the cord easily
That it soooo clean compared to mine Lol Mine ran like a champ for years until a few weeks ago it just died while running The starting coil sounded busted somehow so I bought a new one It worked but then it stopped again I replaced that, the air filter, the spark plug, the spark arrestor and now the fuel filter One at a time It seems like when it sits for a day it will start no problem and I can use it for a while but later no go until it sits around for hours I'm about to buy a new one but if anyone knows what would cause this behavior That would greatly appreciated
OK I found the ultimate fix. Take out the plug. If it looks OK and is bone dry, like mine, just pour some gas right into the spark plug hole. Re-attach plug, pull, good to go!! I had tried everything. Special pull sequences. Hot start. You name it. Was getting very frustrated. Once I added the petrol straight into cylinder? Started first pull!!
Nine times out of ten people use gas with ethanol in it. If people avoid the ethanol these small engines hardly ever have issues. Unless you dealing with a Poulan Pro chainsaw. I call them Pulling Pro.
Enjoy your thought love tinkering with small engines. Ps notice colors in back ground, try keystone lane beer as Coors but different color can. Costs less so can spend more on tools!

Didn’t work on mine; but an ignition coil may be the issue.
If you have spark, could the coil still be bad?@@jasonmatias8979

Could be a crimp in fuel line, simple, but it's happened to me.
How do you turn it on high?
I just bought a black Mac blower vac and I started it ran it for an hour or so put it in the garage went to start it again wont run.
Pop the gas cap off and see if you hear any pressure or vacuum noises (hissing)
Did you check the fuel filter in the tank wasn't clogged up before working on the carb?
Thank you sir, great video
I have an Echo cat 3 back pack that starts but when I give it gas it dies
That it soooo clean compared to mine
Lol

Crack the fuel cap and see if you hear any pressure. It could have a bad vent.
@@DavesSmallEnginesthat exact thing happens to mine and it is not running.
How are you able to assume after a couple pulls that the compression is good? That doesnt seem right.
So what would happen if it didnt start? I just tried that but no go. I put in a new plug and grounded it to see if I have spark and I do.
Check your compression, your compression might be too low or you might have a stuck ring
Do you need the Coors original or can a man get by with the silver bullet ? 🙃
Whatever wets the whistle!!!

Perfect! That indicates a carb issue! Well done.

@@richardcromptonjr7512 I’ll give it a shot!
Dave did mention compression, he said that's pretty much what he care about when buying used equipment
