Bought my first gas powered (Echo 18") chainsaw at Home Depot less than year ago and I haven't cut anything over 40' high yet on our property. What I really enjoy about your videos is how it's a combination of technical knowledge and life experience. You've turned into an art. As I move up in my tree cutting skills, your videos have let me see more than the tree. I look for the wind, the ants, the limbs, the lean, the slope, the chain, the wedges, my stance, and the surrounding trees. The old saying, "you don't see the forest for the trees," is quite apt in felling. Thank you for your videos.

I lived and worked at a remote sawmill in the late 70's, early 80's. We mainly handled (Australian) mountain ash, which grow up to 300 ft tall and up to 14ft in diameter, we got up to 70 tons of timber from a single tree. Every one of them had a "heart", which is the rotten ant infested core, hearts were roughly a meter (3ft) in width. the lowest 15-20 ft of the trunk was filled with a soft, red clay like substance left by the termites (ants). Ocassionally we got a log with ants still living in it, the nest woud fall out and a couple of yards of clay and ants would land on the floor and bring the mill to a halt while we shovelled it into a trailer. PS: Nice job with the chainsaw, and I loved the goodwill message at the end. :)
I recently cut down a tree in my yard w the same infestation, exactly as u describe just not nearly as large. Does that “clay” like substance have any use? What is it exactly? Is it the ants defecating out the wood they’re eating?

Thanks Buckin and the rest of you who keeps this possible
As soon as I saw that dark sawdust coming out I really didn't know if you'd be able to hinge it.
Those friggers always had me nervous and the fact it nested on the bar had me concerned there wouldn't be enough sound wood to wedge against. It's happened 🤦♂️
"Work hard, be honest, and be nice to one another" heck yeah man!
What a top fella ! Greetings and best wishes from Nottinghamshire England.
Excellent job on that Cedar tree Bucking Billy!
Nice job, While I used to fall trees, I know my limits and love the way you did this one. Rotted trees are the pits for some
That was well done. What could have been a v-dangerous situation was made look safe and easy by an experienced professional.
Always nice to watch your videos.
Thank you Billy Ray
