Very grateful for your video Milan, my 12 year old Magnifica had never been serviced and luckily for me had only just started playing up, thankfully your video is precise and your information was very simple to follow, I changed the o'rings and lubricated everything as per your instructions, I now have a perfectly working Magnifica.... Thank you x
Excellent video! This morning my Delonghi Magnifica stopped brewing and I opened it to find a broken o-ring that fell in the floor of the machine. I will buy all 3 and replace. Very easy to follow video. Bravo!!
Agreed, the best. This cleaning fixes the problem of the machine dumping ground coffee before it is brewed, spreading it all over the inside of the unit, problems with weak coffee, full puck-box light keeps coming on, etc.
Thank for making this video. Obviously people will clean the parts better themselves but you did it quickly to make the clip shorter. I've just replaced my o rings. Well done to you.👍
Best video I've seen so far. Very detailed and clear, but I think I would have rinse a lot of the parts in running water to clean up the fine grinds, not just wipe it down. This works for my Delonghi Perfecta as well.
Thank you for the detailed video.I wish I found it earlier... Machine operates much smoother now, no clicks and no longer gets in error! Thank you for posting!
Your videos are very informative. I live in Canada. Where can I order o rings for my DeLonghi Magnifica? I have the Magnifica with the electronic display.
Milen, I was hoping the replacement of the O rings would solve my unusual problem, but unfortunately it didn't. I cleaned the machine thoroughly (ESAM 2800) and also replaced three O rings. Coffee tastes a lot better, but my problem persists. E.g. When I go for a black coffee (not switching to milk frothing first) -> 1) Coffee beans get grinded 2) Coffee doesn't seem to get enough pressue to get into the cup & nothing happens. *When I do latte or cappuccino (meaning I first switch to milk frother) & THEN make a black coffee, it works fine and pours coffee into the cup. As if the initial switch into the milk frother mode allowed the machine to regain pressure & the be able to dispense coffee (into previously made milk). If you have any tips on the above, I'd much appreciate. Thanks
I loved the video. Very helpful. The machine is a mess. It looks like it has not been cleaned for months. In my opinion That piston should be washed, not cleaned with a fabric with, possibly, zillions of bacterias.
Milen, My machine stopped pulling water from the tank. This happened over the course of 2 days. I replaced the water pump, the flowmeter, O-rings, diffuser, cleaned internally and lubricated everything. Could it be the in line filter just after the water tank? I'm soaking the tubes in hot water with a little CLR today but they do not appear clogged. What else could it be? When I watch it with the sides off, water is not pulling through the tubes. Also, the machine now makes a higher pitched noise when trying to run. Coffee is being ground and pressed, it appears to be just a water issue. No leaks. Ideas?
Speaking about lubricant for coffee machines. There is Cheap and drinking water supply certified lube called MOLYKOTE HIGH VACUUM GREASE that is also used for Laboratory equipment and believe me they would not use crap that can contaminate the flasks etc. However there is also expensive like hell OKS 1110 etc. Don't be fooled by those expensive greases. Unless you have money to spare.
Please help me. I have a Delonghi Magnifica S. The o-ring has loosened from the brew piston and the rinsing water and the coffee also flow into the grounds container. If I just put the new o-ring on it, will the problem go away? I could put it on him at the end.
O rings are replaced every 12 months. Cleaning and lubrication every month if you use the coffee machine at home. Of course, when used in an office or with more people, it should be cleaned more often.
Would bad o-rings in the piston cause for a lot of water to fall into the ground puck container? Water in the ground container is the problem I have now
Yes! when the o'rings on either the infuser/brew group or generator/tamper start to fail (expand, corrode, disintegrate) they do not seal well and the pucks get sloppy and grounds start falling outside the waste container.
Very informative video, great job! I have a question, though it is not related to the brewing group. The steam knob gets very hard during milk frothing. I already broke a knob and ordered a replacement. It wasn't so hard in the beginning, let's say the first 1-2 years. Is there any DIY solution for this problem? Thanks in advance.
With time and high temperature seals in the Steam Valve and brewing group are beginning to expand which leads to more difficult movement and failure. Unfortunately the Steam Valve is sold whole.
@@IsikUgurlu You can disassemble the steam tap assembly, lube and replace the small red o-rings within. It is a bit tricky getting the two nested pieces apart to change the o-rings. Set it on top of a specific size socket from a socket wrench set to allow you to tap the other piece through and off. (This tip courtesy of Dan at Hog Mountain Machines aka SuperAuto). Easier but more expensive to replace the entire steam tap.
Hi, I have a problem with the button of quantity of coffee. I need to turn it on the maximum and I can have just a little expresso when I choose 2 cups... I notice that the button is harder from the middle (up to where is the mid cup), do you think if it's possible that the button is moved behind the control pannel : what I mean is that if the command is wrong, it can be at the maximum but it is actually in the middle, it's my idea but I never fixed this machine...Could you help me please, Another question : to disassemble the control panel, do I have to remove the big steam button or the panel comes off with all the buttons on it? Thanks by avance! Have good day!

Hi i have a ESAM 3300. Aftr taking out the clinching ring i cannot remove the black part. Is it stuck? I am not sure If i am doing it right. please help
Hi Milen, can you put your contact e-mail for some questions? if not, here's a problem: I have problem with lowest possition of elevator. it gets stuck down everytime. I replaced completly motor with gears and belt, with screw-gear axis (took from other machine), because the screw trail was worn and had no lead in the axis... is there any limiter switch for down possition? maybe the problem is in mainboard? thanks in advance

Simple and well demonstrated. Only thing that would improve it would be to say what size O rings are needed. Thanks

@@milenstoitsev6676 Do you know if these are the correct size for a ESAM 4200?
Wonderful video! Thank you for especially for the tips on employing the towel to catch (my inevitable) dropped screws and the note not to overtighten.
Excellent video, I learnt a lot watching this and am most grateful!
Excellent and easy to follow. Thanks very much, I think you've just saved me the cost of a new machine.
Miley, thanks for the helpful video. It solved the messy coffee grounds that were strewn all over the cavity of the coffee machine.
We were several years overdue. Ordered 15 of the o-rings!
thanks!
Excellent video! Very well explained. Thank you!
This is a very good video! Thank you very much for posting this. My o-rings have started leaking and now I know what to do!
Thanks Milen - amazing explanation.
Great video. Thanks. Do you need to lubricate the third o ring on the top piston? (the one that tamps the coffee and has the plastic screen)
Brilliant, straightforward and clear. Than you
Thanks for this!!! I am 9k brews and haven't done this yet.. I bet I am WAAAAY overdue.

Hi, many thanks for your great videos. Do you know the sizes of the O-rings you used in this refurbishment?
Best video. I've searched this for years ! ;) Thx mate
All the other videos just show 2 of the orings and don't mention greasing the tracks. This is the BEST
Great tutorial! Thanks.
