- I finally made it! A full studio vocal range for BLACKPINK from SQUARE ONE up until The Album (+ other additional songs)! The girls have a lot of hidden harmonies in their songs so I tried my best to analyze them one by one, matching the notes with each member’s vocal color. I do apologize for skipping A LOT of notes, the video would've been an hour long if I had put them all. Also, I skipped any non-melodic notes (exclamations) as they are irrelevant to one's vocal range.
JENNIE KIM (김제니): C3 - E5 - F#5 (2 octaves, 3 notes and 1 semitone)
KIM JISOO (김지수): B2 - F5 - B5 (3 octaves)
LALISA MANOBAN (ลลิษา มโนบาล): C3 - E5 - A5 (2 octaves and 5 notes)
ROSEANNE PARK (로제): D3 - G#5 - G#5 (2 octaves, 3 notes and 1 semitone)
Some harmonies are quite hard to listen to, but I compiled some songs that have been filtered so you can hear them clearly:

Technique-wise:
Chest / Lows
1. Rosé
She has the least comfort with extreme low range, but is the only one who supports (A3/B♭3).
2. Jisoo
By far the most comfortable in this range. Her lack of training and support are holding her back, as it all comes from her throat, but she has huge potential. She could easily have some of the best lows in K-Pop with just a few months of dedicated training.
3. Jennie
Nearly as comfortable with her lows as Jisoo is, despite having a noticeably higher voice. They’re in the same boat with technique, she just needs some development with a good teacher.
4. Lisa
Honestly, she’s shockingly great. Her voice is potentially even higher and lighter than Rosé’s, so her comfort at the bottom of her range is very unusual and impressive.
Honestly, lows are where they shine as a group. Rosé is the least comfortable, but has the best technique, and everyone else just has tons of ease.
Mixed Belts
1. Rosé
Again, she’s the only one with support (G♯4/A4 with occasional B♭4s), but she also has the best control over her mix. She can go chesty and powerful or balance her belts with head voice to get ease and brightness as she ascends into her upper belts. She’s definitely underdeveloped, but she could improve very quickly with some basic training in resonant placement.
2. Jennie
She lacks support, but understands her voice well enough to control her mix and reach up to high notes with decent ease. Her biggest weaknesses are her pushing and chestiness, but they don’t tend to be too apparent in the more limited range that BLACKPINK songs are written in. I anticipate that the Ice Cream E5s will be very difficult for her live, as she has always dodged the DDU-DU DDU-DU E5s.
3. Lisa / Jisoo
In the studio, Lisa is cleaner and has less tension, just the basic strain that would be expected from an unsupported belt, while Jisoo makes things more difficult for herself with her chestiness and closed throat. I honestly think Lisa has a slightly less harmful technique, but Jisoo’s voice is more durable, which helps her power through her belts more consistently in live performances.
Upper Register(s)
1. Rosé
Nobody in the group supports in their upper register, but Rosé has shown the ability to sing with a connected head voice, which is healthier and more difficult to achieve than the falsetto that the rest of the girls make use of. Head voice is also capable of being supported, so she has the least work to do to get her to a healthy place.
2. Jisoo
Since she uses falsetto, which is a disconnected register, she will not be able to develop upper register support, but she is more comfortable with it than the girls below her. It’s not exceptionally great, relatively average for a vocalist of her caliber, but she makes good use of it.
3. Jennie
Jennie’s falsetto is very average for a pop singer. There are no glaring weaknesses, but no notable strengths, either.
4. Lisa’s falsetto is also quite average, from what we’ve seen. She places last just because we have the least material to judge her with, and the others have shown more consistent control in their higher range.
Overall
1. Rosé
2. Jisoo / Jennie
4. Lisa
Great analysis! Have to agree with you on this one.
@@vocalvids5190 hi can you make a vid of Jennie's Rosè 's and Lisa's LIVE vocal range ?
Jennie E5 in ice cream was easy for her live she was relaxed up till that not E5 belt !!
@@lookatunowlookatmejennie3050 she did it in falsetto. Rosé didn’t belt hers either, it was in head voice. Neither of them seem very comfortable with upper belts yet.
@@VocalStation no she belted it ( for jennie
Wow this is pretty nice!! I think that B2 was Jisoo
So technically its ,
Upper register : jisoo (B5)
Mixed register : rosé (G#5)
Low register : jisoo (B2)
The B2 is jennie and rosé
Wow! Your videos are so well put together and the description too! You even got projects like Rosé’s ‘Without You’ and stuff! Impressive!
Jennie has an F#5 exclimation in HYLT and Pretty Savage
What time stamp?
@@ethan9266 it's when they say "Pretty Sav *A* ge" before beat drop, just listen to the song it's not hidden or whatever hahah
Their timbres are so warm

can u do a vid for rosé's sea of hope covers vocal range? thankyou in advance
So their vocal range in Studio are:
Jisoo:B2-D5(F5)-B5
Jennie:C3-E5-F#5
Rosé:D3-G#5-G#5
Lisa:C3-E5-A5
??????????
*Sorry for my inglish!
Rosé’s is D3 - G#5, but you got the rest correct! Though I’m unsure about Lisa’s E5
@@vocalvids5190 aaah cool
That C3 isn't Lisa tho, sounds like a male and Jisoo's B5 is too distorted to count, might be pitched to sound higher and might not even be her.
@@andinho6372 triste -_-
Also i don't hear Lisa's E5 at all
can you do their live vocal range as well
Sure! If I have the time. I’ve done Jisoo’s only.
@@vocalvids5190 can you please tell me how do u learn those notes that they're singing pls
i always thought jisoo's "oh yes" in boombayah was a C6 lmao
Seccy intro
Hasn't rosé sung a C3 in Shut down
So LISA's vocal range is C3 in Lthm?
can someone tell me what’s an octave unision?
Singing in the same note,ig
@@danielsick4927 but like in different octaves?
Octave unison singing/hitting in the same octave, there's also notes unision,I could be wrong but just check Patti LaBelle and Mariah Carey cover "got to be real'perfect example.
@@danielsick4927 no it's not, octave unison is hitting the same note in different octaves, such as hitting a G3 harmony for a G5 belt
