What makes a singer great is the tone. Everyone can sing, most can hit high notes but not everyone has a tone that make them difference from other performers. Range is just a bonus. Mariah and Whitney are examples of singers who has a great tone.
Nicki Minaj’s is impressive (considering every note lower than B5 has been sung by her), and since exclamations and speech is included for other artists, she has an F5 in chest and an F6 in head voice (I think).
Tinashe is so underrated, her vocals on her last album Songs For You were amazing especially on “Know Better”. and the fact that she can perform with great vocal and breath control, she is my fav.
MORISETTE'S RANGE IS B2 - Bb5 - D8 so... It should be 5 octaves and 3 semitones... And that A5 is a Bb5... Update: Her new range is G#2 (F#2) - D6 (mixed) - D8 That would be 5 octaves and 5 to 7 semitones...
Beyoncé's range is actually E2-Bb5-G6. E2 is from Pray You Catch Me & FRIENDS Bb5 is from Freedom live from the On The Run II Tour She also has an A5 from a live performance of Why Don't You Love Me And she has a G6 on the Daddy Lessons Remix
Tinashe is so underrated, she has an amazing voice and she is the best American dancer in the industry from this generation... What’s going on people??? 🤦🏻♂️
Whitney definitely was the best vocalist cause even tho she didn’t own a wide vocal range she did have a perfect technique and her tone was unique , that’s it ... she was the best ... I LOVE YOU WHITNEY HOUSTON “THE VOICE”

Love 2 Love Brit my point is proven. You said you don’t know “which” Eb2 I was referring to which means she does have an Eb2 in one of her songs. And I’m you had your chance, I beg to differ but even if you don’t agree with me it’s fine. Good video tho, it must’ve taken hard work to pull this many artists off with close to all being accurate and showcasing their best vocals. Mariah does still definitely have a B7 in can’t let go tho.
Mariah has a B7 on "Can't Let Go" And there's a video of her "singing" with a dolphin that has an alleged F#8. But, let's give some love to this. It's a huge video incredibly well edited, congrats.
For a note to be in your range you need to be able to sing the note with support .. anyone can reach a high note if they try hard enough, doesn’t mean they can sing it with support. A lot of the examples you gave are incorrect
Actually you'd be disacrediting falsetto and whistle, along with a lot of these singers sung notes by asking for them to be supported, so support isn't really necessary, rather an actual melody and key.
Carlos M if you can sing the falsetto or whistle for at least a few seconds straight on key then it’s in your vocal range and part of the octaves you can sing if not then you might be able to reach the note if u screech loud enough but it doesn’t mean its part of the octaves you can sing. This video says selena can sing 3 octaves.. everyone knows she can sing 2 octaves, not 3 and the examples given just prove the point because they were not examples of her singing, just her reaching the high note which doesn’t really mean anything
@@cokolives I never said otherwise, I'm just pointing out that the OP said that for a note to be in your range it had to be supported, which is not really true, because, as pointed out, falsetto and whistle CAN'T be supported.
@@thetrueari4359 The example for her lowest note was actually her singing, as for her highest, I do have to agree, she was practically screaming, although she had actually hit that note in falsetto for studio, so actually she CAN sing the three octaves.
Katy, after this video, hit a C3 in Daisies (IN LIVE!!!!), and she also hit an A6 in a Instagram live, when she said she was pregnant. But if you also count the exclamations, her highest belt is a D6 in Dejavu (live), and highest whistle C#7.

Although she does hold the record for a G10, the human ears CANNOT hear a G10. there is no way one could have heard the note live, however she still do quite the impressive note.
Some of the notes in here are not being sung, not really... they can reach them, but can they sing them? If they can't they aren't part of their range, plus some ot the notes are head voice and you put them as if they were chest voice. This video is entertaining but not very accurate tho.

Anyone who has every heard Your Girl knows there's a C8. The problem is, it's not melodic. That's why it's used as background decoration not as a singable note. Yes Georgia Brown can sing in the 8th octave but I wouldn't count that towards her singable range. Georgia's actual singable range is much smaller than what is stated in this video.
Michelle Santos yeah, I mean I could barely listen to that sound without trying to take my headphones off!

Maybe because she doesn't respect others.

Mariah has hit an f8 while swimming. It was a polyphonic f7/f8, although the f8 frequency was way more present
OH MY GOD YOU DID HAYLEY WILLIAMS I LOVE YOU no one is talking about her amazing voice she’s so underrated I love her so much 🧡 PARAMORE

if we count exclamations, Demi's highest note would be a Bb7. and her lowest note is a C3 which is in "Work of Art" as well as "Waitin For Ya"
Her Bb7 seems like an airy overtone for me and her C3 is deffinetly just speaking

The only thing I have to say is Mariah Carey range is Eb2-B7 and Ariana “C#3” is really an E3. But great video that’s not easy to do
Idk which Mariah Eb2 you are talking about but the one in You Had Your Chance is an F#2
That Eb2 doesn’t exist. B7 either. Mariah’s actual range is F2-Bb5-Bb7/F#8 (F# ain’t melodic).
Kaji there’s literally a video proving that the B7 exists but whoever you say.
Major Jones I checked and it was a sharp Bb7 lol.

I love your videos you REALLY snapped and i'm shooketh with all the effort you put in this video!!
Thanks I really worked my ass off D:
For a note to be in your range you need to be able to sing the note with support .. anyone can reach a high note if they try hard enough, doesn’t mean they can sing it with support. A lot of the examples you gave are incorrect
Actually you'd be disacrediting falsetto and whistle, along with a lot of these singers sung notes by asking for them to be supported, so support isn't really necessary, rather an actual melody and key.
Carlos M Support doesn’t mean they aren’t singing it. Ariana’s support stops at around B4 but she can sing all the way to a Bb5
