How many are here after knowing figma got acquired by Adobe for 20bn
yes
39 thousand of us!
Yep actually from hearing that news in a podcast
Didn’t even know what Figma was
what did you gain after knowing that?
Wow! It made my day 🙌
This inspiring pitch will help many young designpreneurs.
I love that the slide is hosted on localhost:8000 😂
This is inspiring to see - Such a great pitch. It's so pleasing to see what Figma has become.
i would say if Figma wasn't there i would not have been a designer today, the best design tool
love love this, this is humbling!
This video is a MBA of its own
Came here after hearing about the Adobe acquisition
any chance we can see the OG 2013 pitch video?
If all this image processing tech is part of the Adobe buyout, the valuation makes even more sense. Running Photoshop natively (and well) in the browser is something Adobe has wanted to do for 10 years now.
Never considered that. Honestly adobe needs to overhaul all theri products. They're so clunky now. Maybe this acquisition will help them do that.
That's what I was thinking. Wouldn't it be crazy if this buyout meant all of adobe's apps turned into Figma-like apps, instead of the opposite most of us dread?
Love this pitch and the product is cool.
For all this video working like Inspiration.
This whole acquisition is really something but i’m really interested to hear more about their ex-competitor ligma and where they fit in to this
I came from Twitter
whats ligma?
@@qertsm ligmyballs
@@qertsm Really interesting backstory, Ligma Borals Corporation is the parent company of Figma's ex-competitor. The two CEO's are actually brothers.

Thank you so much for sharing.
This sounds like a great idea. I hope this guy makes it one day.
Not sure if you're kidding, but he did make it. $2B in his pockets.
@@someguy1169 The fact that you can't figure if he's kidding or not
@@busimo We don't know Mr Makaza. He may be braindead.
@@someguy1169 20B actually
such clarity
The Thiel Fellowship sounds like an amazing program!
So he pitched a new version of Photoshop? Looks nothing like Figma today. But boy got PAID.
Two of the most interesting things today are privacy and ________? Did anyone catch the 2nd area?
Fertility
@@egonvanpraet fertility?
Sweet tutorial fam !
the face he made at fertility lol
Would’ve been great if this fixed their folder structure, their UI project priority, and other very very basic tools such are the way you put things in things and where they are positioned with margin and padding ect
Great
privacy and ?
Foreal man.
9:42 ADOBE MENTION , wou!
Was this video sponsored by Nike?

Hmmm. What a sell out.
Why are you angry?
Sold out for $20b. Wars are fought for less than that 😂
Almost anybody would sell.
@@fredfred9094 not angry....a bit dissapointed like others in the field of design.
@@LiamBClosing maybe. Adobe stock isn’t doing so well. They over paid. And the figma user base is 🤬
🥹so cool to see baby figma! This is awesome
