- 2 years ago I raised $5,000,000 for my Startup. Today, I met with Eurie Kim, managing partner at Forerunner Ventures and more importantly, my VC, to reminisce and absolutely roast my original pitch deck.
Even with all the mistakes that the deck had, Eurie drops loads of great info about what makes a great VC pitch, so make sure to watch till the end!

Not too uncommon actually.
You are blessed to have such a friendly, open and honest VC to work with. This does not seem to be the norm in the startup world. Honestly, this was a goldmine of information on helpful tips & tricks before pitching your own product to potential investors. Be succinct. State the problem clearly. State your solution clearly. Have some real beta testers. Have some real testers. Show that you can hustle.
Also get a Stanford GSB MBA for that "warm intro"
I work in BD for a gaming company and this was one of the most insightful videos I’ve seen on pitching and pitch building - would love to see more of this type of content please

I GOT HOOKED IMMEDIATELY! Really beautiful product! Man's own the full cycle. From a post-production point of view, it will be nice to have your video shot side by side with the slides for most of the part when you started roasting your slides or sharing your thoughts. That way, we will actually focus on the slides and actually feel like a teachable moment.

I’m looking for angel investor myself for my start up, and can’t get over her true peace of advise: make sure you want 5 million dollars.. bc once you take its you started a marathon you can’t get off… such a subtle statement, but when you really think about it deeply, she’s completely right!! Once you get those 5 million, you have just put yourself the biggest responsibility on yourself; wow!! Literally had an epiphany!

She might not have liked it, but honestly this has been the best impression I've ever had of a VC. The thought of someone who gave you a large sum of money breathing down your neck can be really daunting. Overall good look for Forerunner Ventures and for herself moving forward.
