Hi! Can you please suggest? I want to make a structure like a box, but not from sheets, but made of strips, from carbon slats. Need to transport the harp in own semi-hard case, to check it in as luggage when flying. How strong can such a “box” be? The musical instrument in the package is about 17 kg. The main thing is that these carbon strips should weigh minimally, but to be strong enough for carrying upto 20kg, and they must be connected to each other without much difficulty. Is it possible to do or risky?

I wish you would post how to make. Your glow core carbon fiber for ring blanks. Want to make a ring with ashes. So don’t want to buy a block as you can find anywhere. Want to learn how to make it. Looks like just layers of glow apoxy to create the CF. Or fiberglass sheets inside the CF to make the glow core. Would this be something you would ever post how you make it?
I keep noticing the “plug” or small disc that is removed on the very first cut on the drill press. Do you already do something with those? If not, they could possibly be used to make matching buttons. Just a thought.

After you run your tape line across your sheet of CF, there is a way to pull out a single thread across the sheet and use a fabric cutter to get a clean cut across the sheet with no fraying and no waste. Check out Street Bandito here on YT. They are amazing with CF.

Measure out your sheet for cutting mark with nail polish or paint take 5 min epoxy draw 2 parallel lines along side you mark. the parallel lines of epoxy must have a space of 1/10th of an inch. let dry and cut with scissors between the 2 lines of dried epoxy. now the sheets don't come apart the weave stays in tact and you wont have to deal with strands of misfit carbon fiber on the finish of your plate. all that needs to be removed on wet saw is the thin line of 5minute epoxy. simple! send me a 3 yard roll of blue black carbon fiber or Kevlar for the savings . thank you. hehehehe! enjoy your savings
you shouldn't make carbon fiber at home. you'll need an industrial furnace capable of removing all oxygen and you'll also need some argon or other gas, it's not worth it you'll just be wasting resources if you have those things because then you should just build a factory, plus how will you control your pollution?
