i recently bought the exact mazda 2 and that machine can pull.from mombasa to nairobi,full throttle,AC on.coasted me 3500,its a win for me,fit is a good vehicle too.
How is it holding up? I am on the verge of getting the same spec. Any cons?

I drive a 2011 Fit Hybrid and while it looks ordinary, the ka-thing is loaded to the rafters; heated seats, cruise control, multifunction steering wheel with voice command, paddle shifters, auto-lighing/levelling headlamps, semi-auto wipers, traction control with on/off switch, heated sidemirrors, auto-stop tech etc. So precise is the little hatchie's engineering you don't just drive it, you strap it on your back like a rucksack. I average 30km/L on highways...just tell me to stop. In all, I love my little kadudu nearly as much as I love me kids (don't tell their mother I said that).

I own an 09 honda fit and i can tell you it is a win on consumption, space and comfort, on speed not so much. but i still love it.
I concur comrade ..mine does 23km/l and its a 2009 non hybrid Honda fit, very reliable and above all spacious...

@@EvansTheTraveller sure on a generally gentle sloppy 33kms tarmac, on the lightest foot and at times heavy foot for speeds gets me 15 to 17km/l.
To achieve that, I watch Tyre pressure at 36 -37 psi. All round, Air filter never let it build up dust, and oil changes as per or earlier than the mileage due. I hate unnecessary Weights so minimized to spare tyre and fuel half tank. I avoid speeds as much as possible!😋
Madam S isn't for sport mode..S is for holding 1 gear from up shifting when comes on changing lane or climbing steep hill

The D at the rear means Diesel and NOT Sport. Your reviews never touched on whether the diesel engine sounds noisy or quiet, and the general driving experience like comfort and picking. But it's a good review though.

By saying that the fit can run on electric power alone, being a closed circuit hybrid rather than a plug in hybrid, shouldn't it be a mild hybrid? where the engine just kicks in after the car is in motion? @shift gang
While on less load, the hybrid is in use. It also comes in handy when you need instant torque

(opinion)in terms of practicallity just avoid hybrids.. assuming the estimated life period of the battery being 10 years.. at 10 years the battery dies and needs replacement. the cost of replacement of the battery is close to the cost of buying the car used..(pruis reviews-the most hated car in the internet) then it being a closed circuit hybrid means one cant fully be on electric power. hence in as much as the gas mileage is reduced.. the hybrid system just adds weight to the vehicle and reduces efficiency
I beg to disagree..the more hybrid are penetrating the market the more available their battery will be cheaper and available especially from china.you can imagine in the next 10 years how many hybrid production cars will be done
@@tonywachira72 hybrids are complex vehicles.. the drive train to comprehend both the electric and the engine torque into the drive shaft isn't a guess game.. the toyota prius for example has been in existent for over the ten years and is now one of the most hated due to the implication of the cost it brings when the batteries die.. further more the batteries are high voltage ones not the 12v ones you see when you open the hood.

Basically green is when you're using less power in eco mode saving much fuel green is when you use more power,the colour changes oftenly depending on different driving conditions.
