Ugh, Chapters Indigo is the BEST bookstore !! Honestly, I feel like we Canadians are spoiled by Chapters. It's always a warm atmosphere in the shops, the staff are always kind and helpful and passionate and even the website is beautiful and customer service there is always amazing. Easily the one store I can spend hours upon hours in and come out with my arms stuffed by the end of it.
I LOVED Stolen Songbird. I read it when it first came out and it's simply magical. It's a really great winter read because most of it takes place in a mountain. I highly recommend this series (although I had no idea The prequel was a thing. Thanks for sharing that!)
Stolen Songbird is Pringles - once you pop, you just can't stop. Seriously, she pushes the action and everything go haywire. I've chowed down the two first books in the series and can't wait to read the third. Looking forward to Namsara!
I'm on chapter 10 of Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe right now and I'm really enjoying it. It's quite cheesy, but still a very fun and quick read! 👍😊✨📖❤️💚 And I believe it's also being turned into a Hallmark TV movie this year as well, so that's awesome! I think it will be a really fun Christmas movie!
Omg tempests and slaughter - the book I have waited and hoped would happen for at least 10 years ... yeah that long. I love Numair/Arran. He is a character from the Wild magic series in her Tortall Series (yup there is a lot to this world) I need to buy this book. I look forward to your review.
I have a cousin that watches your channel so I started watching it as of recently. I have to tell you The Iron Trial is the best book in the series so far Book 2 is a doozy. I could not get through it I forced myself to finish it because I needed to know how it was going to end. It doesn't get any better. The hype from the first book isn't there but I plan to continue into the 3rd book next year.
Please read Stolen Songbird BEFORE The Broken Ones. Even though it's a prequel, you will ruin the trilogy for yourself of you start in chronological order.
The ascendance trilogy is one of my favorite trilogy's of ALL TIME!!!! Highly recommend them, if you like throne of glass more specifically characters like Celanea than you'll like it
I have like a total of 40 books, and 20 unread + the ones I’m gonna get for Christmas😩 I need to stop buying so many books but there’s so many good ones😭(I started collecting books like 6 months ago)
Tamora Pierce is AMAZING and is my all-time favorite author. I agree that a lot of her books have ugly covers; I think it's because she started writing fantasy about bad-ass teen girls before that was really a thing publishers were paying attention to. She ended up with a lot of very 80s and 90s covers and then a lot of bland covers while YA/fantasy/female-led stories all got better and better marketing budgets, so now her books look out of place.
Also Tempests and Slaughter is not a full prequel, it is sort of filling a gap in the timeline in Pierce's Tortall universe. I would give you advice about whether it's a good place to start but I have to wait til February so I don't know! And also I'm so jealous!
The False Prince was a nice enough read. But I did not know when I bought it that it was about a freaking 14 year old :I I am 24 so I did not continue the series..XD
