Finally got Purple Heart wood!

What do you use to keep the wand tip in the chuck to prevent squishing the wood?

@@rorysmith8039 I found out. Nova soft chuck.

It's a Nova chuck with spigot jaws. I also have a spindle adapter that's hollow so it allows more of the wand to slide inside the chuck.
